The Gospels as Prophetic Fulfilment 

There is a lot of things included in the gospel accounts, but why? All these references to prophets and prophecies mean something to the authors. It is the keeping of prophetic promises and fulfilment of covenant that makes the point the gospel author's are trying to say. This is, the promised messiah.
