The Government warns the TS: “The will of the legislator is as clear as the text of the law” 

The Government, although with leaden feet, responds to the order of the Supreme Court (TS) that on Monday declared the crime of embezzlement in the process of the process not amnestied, which is why it maintains the arrest order against Carles Puigdemont or the disqualification that weighs on Oriol Junqueras. The spokesperson for the Executive, Pilar Alegría, expressed this Tuesday, after the meeting of the Council of Ministers, her “maximum respect” for all judicial decisions. But he recalled that the Amnesty law was approved by an absolute majority of Congress, and warned: “The text of the law is very clear. And the will of the legislator is as clear as the text of the law itself.” It has thus limited itself, therefore, to demanding that “judges apply the law.”
