This is Part 2 of the big one!!! Bicolline 2023: The Grand Battle of Bicolline. This is the largest battle of the week at Bicolline. It consists of a few different parts. The first two parts take place on the Battle Plains. Each side is given either a yellow or a blue armband to help identify what side each person is on. My side is given blue armbands. Feel free to comment and ask me any questions you want! I hope you enjoy this Content!! If you would like to learn more about how to go to this event ask me in the comments as well!

Around 8:10 you'll see a golf cart in the distance, and people are yelling to pause. This guy charging for me in full armor fell into a hole someone dug and broke his leg.

There is shockingly little content on YT for Bicolline sadly. it's there, but just a little. I wouldn't be surprised if your videos blow up because of how good your battle videos are.@@TallianAdventures

Thats Fricken Awesome!!! one of the best parts about that is you can totally achieve that!! Just a heads up if you are going to buy or make that it will only count as armor if it is actually metal and not a super thin gauge(im not sure what the actual gauge is). It can also be hard leather!

I'm looking into the Voyage North, I'm planning for next year to 1. make sure have enough money for the trip and then some, and 2. I've never LARPed before so i have to gather the right clothing , be it through purchase or DIY methods. @@TallianAdventures

It will be great to have you there! Bico is such a huge amount of prep especially for your first time you really want to make sure you give yourself a lot of time in my opinion!

As mentioned, Cant move if your wounded in the leg or dead. Regardless what other people do, you kinda have to stick to one spot

You can't hop around with a dead leg. Stay in place with the knee of the hit leg on the ground.

Hey! sorry i didnt notice your comment! This event can be classified as a LARP. But it is a lot more than an average LARP. The name of the place is "Bicolline" and the event is called " The Grand Battle of Bicolline". The grand battle happens every year in August for a week.

Absolutely! I used to be in your exact position. I will not lie it is not a cheap passion but it is very rewarding. I started by using a company called The Voyage North. You buy a travel package from them and it takes care of a huge amount of the logistics and headache of a trip like this. It's in Quebec Canada so if you are not from there you will need a passport. If you end up going with TVN let them know I sent you! Also if that is to expensive of an option I know a few other options that are cheaper bit with less amenities.

Fantastic battle, I do have a question. the shields used at Bico, what are they made of?. also how cold dose it get at night generally?.

Thank you!! Great question. Some shields are wood with foam on all edges and some are like the latex foam that larp weapons are made out of. The temperature can vary. On cloudy nights it usually will stay quite warm but on clear nights it can get down in the low 40s Fahrenheit. This year I brought a small propane heater and used it once or twice mostly to warm my tent up in the morning so it's easier to get out of a warm sleeping bag!

@@TallianAdventures Interesting about the shields I may get some foam for my old round shield then. good to know on the cold nights. I want to be as prepared as I can be for this when I finally manage to go. hope the guy who was actually hurt got better.

I believe you can just put rubber hose around your shield. Keeps it nicer

Do storms/major storm ever happen at Bicolline and can the town flood?

Great question! Some parts of the town can get bigger puddles but it is mostly the lower part that are near the river will flood

My guild lives in lowtown, it is next to river. We got completly flooded out this year in october.

@hothsonbrothers I don't think there was a dragon egg but I don't speak much French so there could have been I I just didn't know. We were following a flag bearer and went behind enemy lines to take to witches house objective. I really wish I knew more about it!
