Better late than never! This was my first time going down into the canyon. The weather was perfect, and the views unbeatable! Come with me as I run down South Kaibab and up Bright Angel (also known as the Cowboy loop!)
What a fun run! I've heard the cowboy loop is a good one. One of these days I'll run R2R2R ;-) In the meantime, thanks for letting me run vicariously through your video!
When you do r3, park at BA trailhead and call the taxi. It is cheap and saves the legs for the Canyon. It is 24/7 and drops you at SK. I understand that a few more miles is no biggy for ultra runners but it is nice to save everything for below the rim.
Nice job gentlemen. I'll be there in 3 weeks to run that route with a stop at Phantom, because that's always my "bottom-of-the-Canyon." Then spool up the training, and do another R2R, mid-Aug, and again on the first weekend of Oct. Love running there. Vids on the channel.
