Once someone touches your spirit, they impart a little of their spirit in you. So, we will always have them with us and thats what Bernie did. Bernie was the anchor just like in a relay race. The anchor is the best and fastest on that team. Bernie was truly a closer, nobody could go after him, because the show was over when his set ended.

Thank you for sharing this video on Bernie Mac. My oldest sister was diagnosed with the same thing and lived and died at the same hospital as Bernie Mac. She died in October 2000 at the age of 39. As a family we decided to donate her organs and tissues to do further research on this little known illness at that time. We just couldn't imagine another family going through what we had gone through.

@@leighannkst93 I want to thank you for taking the time to read my comment and respond. It was a difficult journey for my family and I. I'm thankful for modern medicine because at the time my sister lived in Chicago and worked downtown. She was found unresponsive in a parking garage. Everything was done for her but it wasn't anything else that could be done for her other than place her on life support. I am so thankful that my parents and her only child, and siblings we got the chance to say goodbye to her warm body. It's so often that people get a call saying a love one is gone. Which makes the grieving process harder in my opinion. I counted as a blessing to have been able to say goodbye and I will see her on the other side. Love never dies and her precious memories lives on through us. Again thank you for your response and kindness. Fill everyday with love, joy, laughter and happiness.

Thanks, Lamont, for remembering Bernie! I got chocked up just seeing his resting place, I mean he was sooooo funny. Strange as it may sound, I didn't like Bernie years ago. It took my young daughter to watch ( and me along with her) at the "Bernie Mac Show" for me to laugh and just love this dude. The man was incredibly talented! The show was before it's time. 😂 R.I.P. Bernie was an incredible man and it was such a loss when he passed. His smile was contagious and some of the looks he would throw would have me in stitches. Watching his bio showed an entirely different side to him than what we saw in the public. He was a good man who will always be missed.

I was such a huge fan of Bernie Mac, and I never missed an episode of The Bernie Mac Show when it used to come on Fox. I remember my sister telling me that the radio station said he died as we were getting ready for our block party. I was so devastated. He definitely was one of the funniest, down to earth, and fearless comedians to ever grace this earth. And his book titled I Ain't Scared of You was pretty great.

Bernie was one of my favorite comedians. I miss seeing him on the movie screen. If he were alive today, he definitely would have a lot to say about todays "cancel culture" and "pc comedy" which has turned comedy into not so funny comedy to avoid offending people.
