I have all the TV shows of the Dukes of Hazzard James Best was Awesome actor as sheriff Roscoe pico train James Best One of my favorite actors of the Dukes of Hazzard he was extremely funny and surreal Brooke as boss hog I love all the cast of the Dukes of Hazzard was good. Good memories when my mother was still alive. Oh, it brings back good memories and I was young kid. I’m sure this brings back. Good memories to us folks. Now we love the Dukes of Hazzard.
The Andy Griffith episode had James as an unemployed musician/singer from Mayberry that Sheriff Taylor helped ….I think!! My wife and I love those old reruns! RIP & ThankYou for your service❤️
Thanks that's what I was looking for . He was only one of the greatest guitar musicians country music ever knew . He had a home and property in Inverness Florida too . That's where I know him before as a HomeTown Boy ..!
Hi ! Yes I remember Dukes of Hazzard show ! Very funny comedy ! He was great in the series ! RIP James Best! Thanks! Keep up the great vlogs ! Deborah 🇨🇦
When i was little, me and my friends used to play cops and robbers. The 2 tv cops i would play are both Rosco P. Coltrane and sometimes Ponch (from ChiPs). I used to make my friends laugh by impersonating Rosco P. Coltrane.
I remember him from that show but I didn't know the other show but I was so young he will be in our hearts for a long time reruns or not and I always say condolences to the family that is missing him day and night. You have a great day or a great night and I remember him from Dukes of Hazzard I do.
I am glad I got to meet James best in a play On Golden Pond in Hickory North Carolina March 16th 2014 I got to talk to him for a few minutes and got his autograph
His last movie appearance was in The Sweeter Side of Life. It was written and produced by his daughter Janeen and her husband Michael Damian. He was such a great actor!
I remember James mainly fron Dukes of Hazzard, but vaguely remember other roles. The toy police car chasing the General Lee at his grave marker was so fitting. Thanks again Chris!
Never missed a Dukes of Hazard episode. I loved his Rosco P Coltrane character, he made him so real. I have said this before but will say it again, I love the way you research your videos and pass on the information you find to us here watching. Your videos are interesting and informative. I always look forward to when you post.
I live in Oxnard California and he played a priest killer on the Dan August series starring Burt Reynolds that was filmed here. He was very kind 😊 A great memory
Another star I loved think he was in a few westerns and if memory serves me me he was in a few war movies he was a war veteran to I hear and love all the videos you put out
Mr Best seemed like such a good person and was certainly a very talented actor. His role in Dukes of Hazzard was mainly a funny one, but he could also bring such depth and emotion when it was required of him (in the episode Ghost of General Lee, his performance, when he believes the Dukes drowned, still brings tears to my eyes...). Thank you for this beautiful tribute. One small complaint though (please don't take this the wrong way): his co-star (another wonderful human being and talented actor) playing JD Hogg, was called Sorrell Booke, not Sorrell Brooke (no R in the surname). I have come to realise it's a common mistake, but I feel it is unfair for him and his memory.
Aww, love James Best! I LOVED the Dukes of H growing up, I still have a little wind-up General Lee around here somewhere! (I'll skip over the pink nightgown that said my heart belongs to Bo, lol!!) I liked Cletus & Enos (SP?!) also but the show wouldn't have been the same without Rosco P Coltrane!! I saw an interview of his once, would've loved to have met him--hopefully I will someday, would love to hear his stories. I love the cars on the grave, that's awesome. I knew most of what you said about him but I didn't know he's buried right here in my state, wow! Thanks Chris, great video as always...love memory lane! Love, hugs & God Bless you 💕💕
A teacher at my school was named Roscoe. I ALWAYS called him "Roscoe P. Coltrane". Out of habit I would even tell people his name was Coltrane. Dear Lord, I can't remember his last name to this day.
Hello Chris he was a very good actor one of my favorites I had very bad luck my little Arnold passed away a week ago today he got cancer and went down hill very quickly my vet did all she could but he passed away Friday morning I was fixing to take him back to the vet that morning for iv fluids it's rough lost him just shy of his twelveth birthday on Christmas day 😢..hope you all have a wonderful Christmas
Oh my, David. I’m so sorry to hear about Arnold. I know how much you cared and him. Arnold knew that too. Our pets are only with us for a little while, and I’m glad Arnold was with you, because I know he was loved. Take care, friend.
I didn't realize he was buried in my state. You didn't mention where this was only named the cemetery. I'm guessing by the hills, its Southern Indiana. Thank you for the videos, Chris! I have learned so much from you! Keep up the great work!
I watched him long before Dukes on so many westerns. He played opposite of some great western stars like Audie Murphy. I remember him well playing a doctor in a movie with Jerry Lewis. I had the honor of meeting him and his lovely wife Dorothy once in Salem Indiana at an event at the race track. He signed a photo of him portraying Sheriff Coltrane and he drew a paw print beside his autograph, he said I don’t do this often, but I’m adding Flashes autograph. I have to say I am still a big fan of James Best, I catch his westerns as much as possible. I’m just so glad I got to meet him and his wife, he left us laughing.
I remember James from both Andy Griffith and Dukes of Hazzard. Always enjoyed his performances. Great video Chris, except the Bengals cap (from a Steelers fan)
James Best Was My 7th Cousin On My Dad Said Of The Family he's been to every single family reunions that we had right up to his passing same with my our cousin's Don and Phil Everly
I remember him from both shows but I never made the connection. I when TDoH came out.. then I watched him on TAGS. He so young on Andy that I didn’t recognize him. RIP James best
Do you remember James Best.... what a stupid question😂how could anybody forget him?? As a teen I always wanted 2 Basset Hounds Flash and Fred (Dukes and Bandit). They weren't with me long but I did adopt those two years ago. An absolutely perfect epitaph because every time I hear his name it puts a smile on my face. Don't play that Roscoe laugh around me because I will laugh in the most serious of moments.
HE WAS IN GUNSMOKE AND THE RIFLEMEN AND ANDY GRIFFIN SHOW HE WAS A GREAT ACTOR AND FRIEND TO ALL WHO KNOW HIM AND HE WAS IN HOOPER WITH BURT REYNOLDS ❤❤
The Dukes were not the reason I watched, it was James Best and Sorrell Booke characters. They were great together! Forgive me if I spelled the names wrong.
