The Iron Sheik was something else. Great heel character, great look, technically sound and strong. At another time or era, he might have been a long term champion instead of being a transitional one. A rather underrated champion in my opinion.
In the 80´s I saw the Sheik on a card at the local high school. Afterwards my wife and I went to a local bar for a drink. Well in comes the Sheik and Harley Race to buy some 6 packs. The couple of guys sitting there booed when they saw him, but I got up and went over and shook his hand and thanked him for his entertainment. He was built like a brick wall. What a nice guy, they left after getting the 6 packs. I´ll never forget it.
Thank you, Scott. I became addicted to your channel because it makes me appreciate my humble life every day, knowing that, no matter what, I should just be thankful and appreciate it. I shouldn't care about someone who is richer than me because, in the end, all of us will end up dead. ALHAMDULILLAH ☝
I can remember being 10 years old, in 1972 and saw the Sheik for the first time in NWA.... he scared me to death!!!! He was such a great heel... lived a rather.... shall we say wild life... but he never minced his words or thoughts. Thank you, Scott. You always talk about wrestling and wrestlers with the respect that they so deserve. THANK YOU!!!!
Good Afternoon Scott 🙋🏾. When the Iron Sheik was wrestling that was the best wrestling ever. I love ALL the wrestlers from his Era. THE wrestling today doesn't compare to the wrestling of yesterday. In MY Opinion 🤷🏾. Thank You Scott for Inviting me to watch your video. His Era doesn't seem that long ago. But you get my gist.👋🏾
When I saw how old he was, I was thinking what you said, that I'm glad for him that he was able to have a decently long life because it's not often seen in the wrestling world. I'm sorry that he lost his daughter so young. She was a beautiful girl and has a beautiful stone to reflect that. They are together now, and I'm sure he is smiling about that. You did such a nice job on this video, Scott, but you always do. RIP to both daddy and daughter ❤ 💐
Loved the video Scott me being Arab American I love it when you do videos about people from my side of the world The iron Sheik was a representation of my culture, and he was one funny guy R. I. P. 🥸✍️
I remember the sheik when he was a guest on the stern show and wanted to humble certain people. And he wanted to arm wrestle. 45 and his Twitter was out of this world. Rip to the sheik
Thank you so much for this. The death of The Shiek's daughter was very tragic. Paul Orndorff ( Mr Wonderful) also lived in Fayetteville at the time of his death. He could possibly have been laid to rest in the same area. Thanks again
Thanks for the memories, "Jabroni" , and thanks for making me....."love to hate you" as a kid growin' up in the '80's !! Rest in peace, Shieky Baby! _LEGIT TOUGH GUY_ !! #absolutelegend
Scott thank you so much for this. One of my good friends actually knew the shiek and he would call me almost every year for my birthday. He was one of the nicest, sweetest man I ever got to meet. We love and miss you so much.
he lived a good life even though he was doing drugs so that is great for him to live longer than others and it is very sad that his daughter had to be killed and they were also doing drugs and drinking and it is sad he had to go that far and long ago she did not even get to live her life thanks for sharing Scott and RIP Iron and Marissa 💐💐💐
I remember watching wwf with my grandfather when I was a young man and he cursed the iron Shiek every time 😆 It was a fantastic memory He passed in 2001 Thanks for the trip down memory lane Scott I haven't thought about the Iron Shiek in years Fantastic video Rest in paradise Mr.Hossein Khosrow Ali Vazir The one and only Iron Sheik ❤✌️😎
I’ve noticed the older wrestlers sure seemed to have a much longer life span compared the later wrestlers. Great video I remember back in the 80s as a kid watching all these guys. I loved watching Junkyard dog and Jack the snake back then
I sure enjoyed this Vlog Scott! Appreciate your efforts and time. The Iron Sheik was one heck of a wrestler and a great performer he was one classy fella! Sure miss him RIP ...✌🏼🍻💫
Do you remember the boots he used to wear? Big curled “genie toes” on them, when the ref would look away, he’d tap the toes to “load” them before kicking the snot out of someone. Especially Hogan, the big jabroni
I remember watching him. I discovered your channel through Adam the woo, The Grimm Life Collective and Jordan the Lion. I can tell that you really research your topics and explain them to your audience. I am very happy that I found you.

Maybe I can do that and present it to his wife and make his family some 🇮🇷🇺🇸🥇🇺🇸🇮🇷 👍🏻👊🏻🫵🏻 😂😇
Thank you Scott. I didn't really know anything about the Sheik and really appreciated this. You never know what you're going to upload and I enjoy it. 😊 🙏❤️🕊️
I never heard of this time wrestler b4 but then again I don’t watch wresting all the time it’s been a while since I got into it my boyfriend likes to watch it and I don’t usually watch it with him I can’t believe his daughter died too that’s unbelievable
I like to watch shoot interviews with old wrestlers. The Iron Sheik's name comes up a lot in those interviews. It seems like every retired wrestler has a dozen Sheik stories. Kevin Nash has told some hilarious stories about him on his podcast.
I lived for his daily tweets crapping on Hogan, they were so funny. Loved him as a wrestler when I was young and still do. Thank you for doing this for us Scott you are a true legend in my house.
Appreciate you doing a vid on the sheiky baby I feel like a lot of newer people who are into wrestling now had no clue who this legend was. If you can I request doing ECW New Jacks Grave next. I’d appreciate it🙏🏽 keep ‘em coming 🔥
Sorry for being an idiot. I have been drunk for a few months. Craig has given me so much shit to behave myself. I am now and sorry for giving everyone abuse. My brother helped Craig and it has stopped now. So I am so sorry for being a complete dick head.
It was a shock to hear of Sheik's passing. He didn't seem like a someone who was 80 years old, he had so much energy. His hall of fame speech stands out to this day. Legend!
Thanks for this video. The Sheik is and always will be a true champion and entertainer in wrestling. I never knew about his daughter. So sad . I'll bet had this not happened he may have lived to 101. ☮️ & 💚 To my friend.
Alright you made it 👍🏽 I asked you last year to make a video about the Iron Sheik Awesome good looking out Homie take care Man the RU-vid video’s on Him being interviewed are Hilarious all around he’s Awesome 🤟🏽✌🏽
I LOVE WHAT YOU DO FOR THE SHEIK HERE BUBBA, AND HIS MEMORY OF HIM BEING THE GREATEST WRESTLER AND PUTTING THE CAMEL CLUTCH ON THAT NO GOOD SONOFABITCH HULK HOGAN! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK JABRONI!!!
Hi Scott, good to see you again. I didn’t know the iron Sheik, RIP to him and his daughter 💐💐💐💐, I’m glad his daughter got justice for her murder. Thank you Scott, all the best Scott. ✌️🤟🏼👍💕
Wow u actually came down to Peachtree City…that’s my hometown…I have a very good friend I grew up with buried out there 😔….i grew up with William Regal’s son out there…Chris Benoit lived not too far from there…maybe 4 or 5 miles but yeah I’m a wrestling nut too…one of my other buddies is a fire fighter for Newnan…his Station were the First Responders to Iron’s house smh…my buddy is also one of the biggest wrestling nuts you’ll ever meet…life is truly a circle
He was such a great wrestling villian. I don't know if anyone remembers " The Mongolian Stomper" aka Archie Gouldie but I worked with him here in Tennessee in his later years. He use to tell me all kinds of wrestling stories. What a life those guys led. May he rest in peace.
I remember hearing the story Iron Sheik had told in interviews prior to his match against Hulk Hogan at MSG in 1984. Verne Gagne, who was the owner of the AWA, was pissed at Hogan for leaving his promotion. Iron Sheik had made his mark in the AWA and knew Verne very well. So Verne called Sheik and told him that he would pay him $100,000 to break Hogan’s leg. Sheik flat out refused to do it. Sheik said he would not bite the hand that feeds him. He refused to betray the company that made him Heavyweight Champion. Without the Iron Sheik, there’s no Hulk Hogan, period.
I have 2 video suggestions, Scott. The first, a video on WWF/E manager Paul Bearer and his grave. The second, Tales From The Hood filming locations. Both would be amazing with how you put videos together and tell stories.
he was my late grannies absolute favourite.. 😀 she’d sometimes get so excited at seeing him on the telly. she’d rush to the bathroom, grab a towel and a shoelace (out of my grandads boots) and don her version of his headgear. all of us grandkids thought it was a right giggle.! she’d be Ooooing and Aaaaring and mimicking him. 🤣😂🤣 * location joke you had to be there.! 😂🤣😂😜 ~claire~ brisbane queensland ✌🏻🇦🇺🌏🤘🏻
