The owl makes sense since it's hunting small animals so it attacks them instead of face, hence, no flyer sigil. Moreover, owls are known to leave behind pallets of bones and fur so the giving bones sigil also makes sense.

yea the beginning of the game was the best. After beating the game a few times it just becomes easier to leave the film in the clock and play through the game a couple times without beating act 1

18:50 the ring worm in that fight is to hint at its purpose. Leshy places units behind it, so you leave it alive so the next unit doesn't come in behind it. Killing it = downside for you

3:45 - The Survivors have learned their lesson (from past lives) and now avoid any poisonous creatures you try to tempt them with... 35:02 - It makes perfect sense. As the undead Raptor loses bones, it becomes slimmer and harder to target, gaining Dodge, which here is translated to +Health.

So, the undead raptor around 35:00, instead of dealing 1 damage to itself, it was dealing negative damage. I'd like to see the code for that sigil, seems like a very weird interaction

The undead raptor was probably getting its health added with -1, but more since you added 8 to it, it changed its health function to 8-1 and yeah, it bugged out

SIGIL MOD SUGGESTIONS: Screech/terror: creatures directly across from this sigil are forced to swap with a creature to the left or right or move out of the way. Fearless: creatures with this sigil cannot be terrified. Clip wings: upon playing, remove a creatures flying ability. Challenger: upon playing, the creature can choose to fight any other creature on the field. Both will take damage. Then the normal bell turn will take effect. (Allows to both eliminate enemy cards and attack normally in the same turn) Intimidation: upon play, a creature with this sigil will force another creature back into the owners hand. (Interesting for making fights harder if the opponent plays it.) Landform cards: A new type of card that grants abilities to nearby creatures on the field or hand by discarding other cards in hand. Still working on the idea itself. WIP.

The undead raptor with the added health was funny. Seems as though it was setting its health based on the formula "h = h + (h0 - 3)" where h0 is the original health of the creature and h is the current health of the creature. With the original 2 health, this was reducing the health of the creature by 1 each turn, but when the health was increased to 10, the formula became "h = h + (10 - 3)" meaning that it was increasing the health of the creature by 7 each turn. Alternatively, and probably more likely, it could be dealing damage equal to "3 - h0", making the formula "h = h - (3 - h0). In either case, there is a 3 hard-coded into the damage and using the original health of the creature to make that into dealing 1 damage each turn. This begs the question: why use the original health to begin with, if a hard-coded flat value is required anyway? Why not just hard code a decrease of 1 damage per turn? The only reason I can see to use the original health as part of the formula is to specifically create this interaction when health is increased, which would go against the described effect of the sigil. Unless the 3 is not hard-coded. I would be very interested to see what happens if the damage of the raptor is increased. If there really is no hardcoded values, one final possibility would be that the undead raptor is dealing damage equal to "d0 - h0", where d0 is the original damage of the creature and h0 is the original health of the creature. If this is the case, it would explain this strange interaction with the increased health, and imply an increased damage from the sigil if the damage of the undead raptor increased, potentially becoming a one turn death rather than an immortal creature.

here's a little fun thing to know about the Rox card: Its actually a reference to one of the first bosses in a specific roblox game called Super Cube Cavern. The boss as it appears on the card, is a humanoid figure with no eyes, a large horn, sharp teeth, and a ball-shaped tail. Its full name inside the game is: Dinosaurus Rox

The reptile god is under rated, it can defend twice from 100% lefthal hit, and then have it's body to block hit afterwards, can save you trom tough spot by taking 3 hits no matter what and it still deals one damage every turn, just fire up dmg to it and it's bound to solo all but prospector.

This is a lot of mayhem fun, I love it! I agree that you should keep mixing and matching tons of mods, embrace chaos and unleash it upon your opponents.

The reptile god does deserve the slot, because not only does it leave a tail behind for survival, it still has yet 1 shield to it, surviving any hit. Only on the third hit would it die.

“Cannot get attacked” can’t be poisoned!

Main reason because people think the game is hard is "probably" because most people are not used to think and then act. Once you put 2 or 3 mechanics and some options at the same time in a game, most players start struggling to keep track of things. In this kind of games you need to stay focus at first until you learn the mechs, and then you will get confortable with them. Most players are not willing to make that effort.

Maybe you could try making the map smaller? That way you have access to less upgrades, which might make the game a little bit harder? Or maybe if someone made a mod that made you start with 2 rabbit skins and 3 static cards. Or all staring cards static cards. That would make the game harder to beat, but in some battles it could even make it impossible, if you end up getting 3 ring worms or something like that. Or someone could make a mod to change the "difficulty" in a file (like how the bigger map mod works) something like slay the spire ascensions where you get the level of ascension challenge plus the challenges of previous ascension levels. If you set the difficulty to 0 it is the normal game. 1 makes you start with the static card. 2 removes the chance to get a wolf skin at the start. 3 makes you have a 33% chance to start a match with a boulder on the field. 4 removes the knife from the starting items. 5 removes the hook. 6 removes the squirrel. 7 removes the kill the survivors mechanic. 8 increases shop prices or even (if possible) makes some upgrades cost money (totem parts 5 teeth for example). 9 makes every fight a elite. 10 makes enemy units better? (I don't know if this is possible). I don't know much about modding in inscyption. But some of the difficulty changes seem possible because some mods already do similar things. The list of changes in each difficulty is an example, just to give some ideas of what could be done to make the game more challenging.

Challenge idea: never removing cards from your deck. Don't sacrifice cards to the Bone Lord or sigils to other cards unless unavoidable. You can buy pelts and trade them because it keeps the number of cards even. Everything else is up to you Sifd.

Aligator already become underwater for the rest of the fight, i saw when you get him on field for some time.

The alligators ability could be better than the waterborn, cuz with that ability the creature at least blocks one attack and then avoids getting hit by any more than one. Not insane but I think there’s a lot of uses for it.

@Sift maybe the reason the canine god got nerfed is because last episode you said canine god wasnt a good card. I might be wrong but if you don't like a card talk to the modder on discord or what ever you use and see if you two cant come up with a design you both can agree on. Just a little food for thought.

Well Sifd... you see there actually is a secret event if you kill the moon with a board full of tentacles. The moon is put back into space. But it's inked so you can't see it c:

As a series of run ideas, do some runs focused on creating death cards, IDK, 10 or so, and then via mods (if there is, or some way to hack the game), play only with your DC. I think it would be fun since you have to plan your deck for some runs and think what would like to do. Instead of thinking your combos for your current run, thinking the combos you will do after several runs

"Is the game even losable?" I mean, it obviously is on the first run, and RNG is involved, especially if you don't even know you're gonna run into a wall of bears. That said, the game gets much, much easier on continuous runs. Extra life. Bees. Insect totem. One guaranteed (OP as hell) boon on the Leshy fight. Double Greater Smoke on every boss fight. There's more. Those are just some examples. I think your base deck gets stronger with the added talking cards, as they have small advantages over the non-talkers of similar cost. I intentionally kept going with Act I, leaving the film in the clock, unlocking all the secrets, and the game became a cake-walk. I take all of this to mean you're intended to eventually beat Act I, no matter how poorly you play the card game aspect.

i think tha what happend with the undead raptor is that the game thought the flame was a +4 health and as it takes 1 hp every turn it bugs calculating that same value again and again and again making it gain 3 hp every turn

all the new cards are fun but I think the unlimited flame makes it too OP. Maybe trying a no run flame or limit to 1 use per fire is better to showcase the new cards power better.
