Not only is your filmmaking and cinematography truly breathtaking, your attention to detail with the music choices and sound design is exquisite! A joy to watch and to come along on these adventures with you.
I have binge-watched probably 80% of your videos over the past week in anticipation of this new episode. I’m so excited to see more of Alaska (in preparation for my own trip there this summer), and your videography is so beautiful and glorious. I can’t put into words how happy I am to have landed on your channel.
dear Bound for Nowhere, you both went above and beyond with the Lost & Found series. The camera shots, the pacing, the perplexing feeling of being soothed by the scenery and excitement of experiencing the wilderness is amazing--and seeing both of your lovely faces :P. I am so grateful that you have taken your time to show the world your life and passion, and in turn it ignites a passion and longing in me: to see the world and learn the history about them. so thank you
Thank you so much! I love finding music for them. It really has a way of setting the mood and thus I put a lot of care into it. It's actually what I'm working on right now for another video!
To hear a local say that we are doing it justice fills me with a lot of joy. It's so beautiful and moving and often feels daunting to properly convey that. Thank you so much for watching!
I have began to watch your videos along with my breakfast and it always reminds me what to work hard for. To have wonderful adventures with the people you love. All the best. Love your content.
Scenic wonderland, spiced with images of you eating .. .. .. ha ha ha ha. Love it - to us in the southern hemisphere it is almost an alien world. Magic.
I can never get over how beautiful your guy's filming is. It really feels like we're there with you and you capture everything soooo well! So happy to be able to watch these journey's!
This is an absolutely amazing, awe inspiring series. The beauty of the land had me tearing up just from seeing it on TV. I can only imagine how it must feel to be there. Thank you for this series. I'm excited to continue watching it.
This episode is the one I have most been looking forward to & it didn’t disappoint. After spending 5 seasons in Denali & moving permanently to Fairbanks a few years ago, I was so so excited to see these special places through your eyes. I cried watching this episode, thank you so much for sharing it with all of us! You captured the magic of Denali so so well.
Awesome video of Denali, you guys lucked out as the road closed down before pretty rocks and will remain unpassable until the park service builds a bridge. Denali is amazing and your video captured it well. I will be returning for my 4th season there this summer
Yeah we heard about that! It sounds like you can still fly in, but 60$ for a bus ride is far more accessible than having a bush plane drop you off. I heard an estimate of 3-5 years to get the road back up and running back there! Feeling real lucky we went when we did!
Thank you! 525 thank you for the postcard and message! It was a birthday gift for my wife and she loved it. She cried because the your message resonates with her. Thank you. You guys rock.
Loving the series so far! Life-long local over here raving at the justice you’re doing for our glorious state. Its hard to capture the emotion you feel when looking out over the vastness of raw land, but you guys sure are giving me all the feels! Keep up the good work! I’m looking forward to your next vid, and now summer 💜
You are making me blush. We clearly have fallen deeply in love with Alaska. It feels like it has firmly lodged itself in our hearts so it feels only natural to share that the best we can! Thanks for watching and more to come!
Stunning camera work as always...your calm narration fits so well with the stunning landscape. Those mosquitoes would eat me alive......I get inch wide swellings from just one .😦
Nice . Brings back memories of my time working in the Park during the 90’s until 2011. I watched the transformation of the McKinley Bar trail go from a swampy slog to the improvements of bog bridges and foot logs. You might want to edit Denali’s elevation to 20,310. Thanks for sharing
Absolutely beautiful photography.... thank you for what you do. Many years back we had the privilege of spending time in and around Denali. Such beauty is just stunning. We flew (with what I now consider a questionable pilot) around and "into" Denali. It was a rare, clear day providing us views that are seldom seen. God's wonder for sure. Can't wait to see what you do in Talkeetna. That's where I met my very first reindeer! :) Love that place.
This is such a high quality production! I've been following the series with such enjoyment. I still think of your reaction to the Glacier and find myself getting emotional even today. Thank you for sharing your journeys, i can't wait to see what's next. Much love from over here in Australia.
When I think back on it, I do too. Its a joy to experience and another layer of joy to share! Thanks so much for watching and we will see ya next week!
this series is very special to me my father dreamed of visiting Alaska but passed away before he got the chance a few years later I took his ashes to Denali so he could finally be in Alaska
As always the artistry of your videography is without doubt, and if the result of your bereavement is that you’re seeking solace in the beauty of nature then I think there’s no better place
Soooo your guys are literally amazing and living my dream, basically binged the whole channel! Can’t wait for the next one, see ya down the road. Ps you and owen are a party, adventuring with you guys would be a blast jealous of the summer adrift crew!
Way less skeeters and much bigger trees in SE…Awesome vid, soundtrack per usual! I’m starting get excited for Spring now that days are getting longer! ☀️🌿🌷
I think I’ve said “awe inspiring” before. Can I say it again with emphasis? Gotta say, the narrative and music is quite enjoyable and thought provoking as well. Enjoying the vicarious living!
Love the video.... I'm blessed to be able to drive a bus in the park! Just fyi..Denali is a He and Mount Foraker is Denalis wife and all those smaller peaks are the children!
I know ...I drive for Denali Backcountry Adventure and we're no allowed to drive on the road for 2 years! Again love the videos!! If you make it to Colorado this year let's go packrafting!! Safe travels!!
Amazing place, did you know they track a lot of the grizzlies and wolf packs within the park, I spent the summer there in 2017 and it’s easy viewing when you know exactly where there are.
Love all your videos!! Do you ever have concerns about leaving your rig at a trailhead for a couple of days in bear country? (I’m guessing you don’t totally empty it of all smellables). And PS: I think of your Luna all the time…she was such a cool kitty!
Awww man did this bring back the feels. We were just there in September. I’m editing our footage now. You’re super lucky you went when you did. There was a huge rockslide at Polychrome in August and everything on the road past the Ghiglione Bridge is shut down until 2024!! No Wonder Lake. Eilson, Polychrome for anyone taking the buses (i think you can still fly in). Anyway, glad you got to do it. We got off the bus at the bridge and hiked up past Polychrome and packrafted back down the Toklat. It was amazing! What an awesome park, and what a great treat seeing you guys head out there! Hope 2022 brings great adventure… for both of us
That sounds like an INCREDIBLE trip! We did hear about the slide, such a bummer but yes I did hear you can fly into the airstrip in the backcountry. We passed it on the way out on the bus.
Excellent video and stills. Love your music selection. The music during bus ride reminded me of spaghetti western theme music 👍🏻. So many YT creators ruin their work with annoying pop vocals that don’t match the visuals. Keep up excellent work. Travel safe.
I was in Denali in 2019 and it was a cold rainy day so needless to say I didn’t get a look at her. Now my goal is to go back and camp in the park as all we did was take a tour.
While backpacking in Denali on a couple short backpacking trips, the only time we saw Denali was around 2 am at the Wonder Lake CG. It was surprising well lite, but just as in your video the mountain disappeared behind clouds after a few minutes.
Thanks so much! They are these: bit.ly/341UEyO and he loves them! They are stretchy, cool in the warmer months and somehow prevented him from getting eaten by mosquitos!
The only spot I’ve been in Alaska is Juneau so this series is basically letting me bookmark spots to go visit. Also, have you guys considered posting any of your photos, they would make wonderful screensavers and such for my desktop lol.
We do blog posts with the photos, but other than that we tend to keep them or sell them for commercial use. It's one of the main ways we make money on the road!
@@BoundForNowhere That totally makes sense, guess that’s just more motivation for me to travel off to go take my own photos. Your travel videos are certainly a good example of all the places to see.
@@BoundForNowhere Bahahah don't worry about it, people don't really notice Trapper Creek! It's a drive through town to get gas and snacks before you get to Denali and Fairbanks.
If you are thinking of the leather wide brim, that is one from this company: www.jacaru.com/collections/kangaroo-leather-hats However mine is a hand-me-down and I've heavily "altered it"
Sadly it's a hat that @Patagonia doesn't seem to make anymore. Topo designs is making something similar right now though: topodesigns.com/products/global-hat?variant=39303890731061
