I have so many of the patterns you have/had. Many of the vintage patterns have become 'idea' patterns because the sizing is so different than current sizing. My mom took Stretch and Sew classes for years and I inherited her patterns, with all the pieces we cut out over the years. My sister and I were just reminiscing about all the t-shirts we made and color-blocked, which meant we used scraps because we each wanted the same fabric. Great memories!

I like how you had multiples of a lot of the ones you're going through 😉 I had written notes about some of the dress patterns you went through, as my mom made a few of those in the late 60's-70's. I did find a picture or two! I owned the Gap knit tops pattern and used it Many Times! Using fleece when I could find it and cotton interlock... it was fun putting contrasting piping in the seamlines. And you remember when everything went all Flashdance haha. I've made the 'sunburst' buttonup once, and want to make the sleeveless version! The 8582 knit top I've made a few of, too. I really miss those deep armholes of the 80's! So comfortable! ** do remember that the cover art is...art, so if the depth of the V is the only thing you don't like and the pattern is in your size, it might be worth quickly looking at the pieces. Thanks for these round-ups! 😘

Jen I made the Butterick 6925 View A and didn't want the buttons either, so I altered it for a zipper. When it was completed I was able to put it on and take it off without using the zipper, now I'm making another one with a seam in the back. I have really enjoyed watching you destash your patterns. I probably need to do that myself. Thanks for sharing.

Lots of lovely tops, Jen! I'd made one of the 70s tops you're keeping the pattern for. I remember being proud of the finished top but it only went with one skirt that just wasn't something I wanted to wear much (we teenagers had even started wearing pants at church!) I bought the B6924 button back top without thinking "Ack, I live alone -- how will I fasten this?!" I've also kept it, just because I can finagle a side zip or even hack pattern to achieve a front closure. I would LOVE to see YOU do a version first! -Kelly

Hey Kelly - gasp, I'm clutching my pearls! Pants at church? 😂😂😂 I remember those days, we couldn't wear pants at bible college. Even when. it was 10º outside! The church has certainly not always been known for being practical! I would love to do a version of that top using a different closure. It's just so cute, it would go with everything! I'll put that in the Empire State Building sized pile of stuff I want to do!

I don't have much room for pattern storage, BUT I have kept all of my stretch and sew patterns (about 20) plus instruction books. Also, classic patterns from the big 3. We have to buy new Simplicity patterns on line, because Simplicity would no longer print patterns in French. Canada has two official languages, English and French. I scour the Thrift stores for any Kwik Sew and Stretch and Sew patterns that I do not have yet.

FYI: crop top patterns… that work for this idea, hem with a large lace. I get so many compliments on top I added wide lace to hem. I am a shorter stature, so take this as it may. Enjoy your videos!

S9646: I have for sleeves; I picture a lawn print, or some kind of print. I love the sleeves. Marcy Tilton V6089 and V9057: made both and love them. The jacket is amazing! I want to make it again! The top skims the body and I love that. You had others I have and do why I keep them? I love these videos! 😊

So many great patterns. I have the New Look 6708 pattern and it is brilliant and very easy to make. Some of the eighties patterns are just so wild, but that is the eighties for you. I'm all for a fitted shirt/blouse and some of the vest look great.

M7902 I just used the sleeves for my mother of the bride dress. The dress had wide straps, but I wanted to cover my arms, so I went through and used the sleeves from View B and it was perfect!.

Same. I sort mine numerically and don't bother with the company. While I've been destashing, though, I've been putting them back in the binders by company. But the insides are just numerical. Makes it easy!

The difficult question is what is reasonable. You were brutal in destashimg. I saw some pretty things go bye bye because you were not going to make it.
