The way a couple of these last few runs have pivoted heavily from a random vestige pickup have been pretty fun. You are also making me see that I undervalue blur as a defense mechanic, I really should try leaning into that more often.
It's really good, but it does require support much like how shield does. Oftentimes I have to mix those together to get "enough" survivability, though!
I really like this series, and I hope you continue weaving Inkbound in with your normal Monster Train content. I doubt I'd ever play Inkbound, but I do enjoy watching your content. You do a good job of seeing combos that might otherwise get overlooked, yet still make for compelling content and solid runs.
Window was adding a lot of damage just from hovering tooltips and the bleed stacks were hitting considerably harder, but I do think Necrostrain was really good, yes.
Nice run. I like Obelisk quite a bit. I see a lot of people complaining about that aspect, but to me, it's one of the easier ones to play. You said you like card games--have you seen Zet Zillions? It's kind of short on content right now, so I doubt it'd make a good YT series, but you might want to check it out for your personal enjoyment. There's another one coming up called Dragon Eclipse that looks promising. It has a Monster Train combined with Darkest Dungeon type of vibe to me from what I've seen so far.
Necrostrain comboes well with Poxy Feather. When you applied the poison with poison thorn, you got 5 extra poison from Necrostrain and 3x2 bleed from Poxy Feather. Without Necrostrain you got 2 poison and 3 bleed per attack, but with it you got 7 poison and 6 bleed. Also Cluster Bomb lost the dazed debuff. And the Green Gunk from Cynder activated the Marker of the Unbound for more Omni Damage.
1:40 "It's a strong pony, but you pretty much have to hit it or you're basically killing yourself." I think the metaphor might have got away from you a bit.
