I mean, Pope John Paul II forgave the man who tried to kill him. Regardless of the fact that he was religious, the fact that still choose to forgive someone for a crime that severe instead of letting their anger get the better fo them shows much strength. That's not to say we should just blindly forget what they did. If we're not careful, there remains a strong possibility that some will take advantage of the kindness of others to repeat their bad choices. To that, I can only say to be responsible with who you forgive, and be mindful for any potential lapses or repeats. Forgive, but never forget.

EVERY iteration of Optimus had a great sense of humor, and was perfectly comfortable cracking a joke, and laughing at someone else's if the situation warranted and it was nice to see that in TF Prime!

PS: For all the people who think there's something wrong with TFP Optimus: I hate perties, my definition of fun would be peacefully sitting on a lakeshore, I laugh less the others and I can completely controll it (and I know people who never laugh, and that's not a problem for them), I've never lost a try not to laugh challenge, and I never smile without a reason. And I'm a calm, balanced and perfectly happy person.

Optimus prime is what every hero should be. Not some screaming commando or cop in armor, a hero who is down to earth and is calm in the most pressing situations.

TFP's Optimus will always be the best. He really struck a perfect balance between the seriousness of his Bayformers version and the kindness and naivety of his G1 self in my opinion, with a side of Alpha Trion's wisdom

Optimus Prime's sacrifice at the end of Prime was a perfect way to bring an end to his character, sure RID brought him back but I prefer not to think that he did come back as his end in Prime hit my emotions unlike anything else. Long live Peter Cullen. Long live Orion Pax. Long live.....Optimus Prime
I think if the RID2015 team included things that the fans wanted, such as involving more members of Team Prime, including Raf, Miko, and Jack, and probably revolved the series around something a bit more serious, like Starscream becoming more of a threat & expanding on the culture a bit more it would have been a great sequel to TFP.
Man. Peter Cullen's voice performance from Transformers Prime has to be my favourite. Seriously, that show is just too good and I liked how Optimus in Prime sounded like a mentor/father figure towards the Autobots. That is something I always imagine and see Optimus being like.
Of course Peter Cullen is getting on in years, So there will have to be new voice actors for Optimus Prime, And as long as they stay true to the legacy of Prime He will live forever.

Unless you’re talking about Prime Bumblebee. And in that case, plenty of bots planned to kill Megatron. Bumblebee just succeeded. Mainly because Megatron was distracted by Optimus.

In the predacons rising movie, I cried at the end. I cry everytime. It was absolutely amazing. Peter Cullen will be the one and only Optimus Prime.
An excellent branching out, I await the day when we will see a great quotes of Megatron, Starscream, Soundwave, and Bumblebee. Also, fun fact about 11:54-12:00. According to the official Transformers fandom wiki, that is a line that Peter Cullen gave to a dying Optimus Prime fan. Truly an example of the kind of power a character like Optimus could have.
Peter Cullen will always be the best voice for Optimus Prime. But the one from Animated is not bad too, considering the Prime in that show is a younger, less experienced Optimus.

And him not having a sense of humor or partying as said in Transformers Prime, then those characters need to meet his other versions. I think the one that really stood out to show that he had a sense of humor was the one from the Unicron trilogy.
Transformers Prime optimus was probably the best written version. He always tried at every turn to be diplomatic, compassionate, and humble. Only resorting to violence when he truly had to. And had the most compelling story arc and understanding of humanity

Kongaro They should play it in the background every tine he unleashes the Matrix’s power. Most notably in Prime when he uses it to pacify Unicron. Or maybe in the upcoming Prime origin film when Orion earns the Matrix from Primus it starts playing as he undergoes his legendary transformation

Peter Cullen is literally the perfect man for Optimus. The other VAs did fine, and well, but there's something about Peter when he plays as Optimus that nobody else can achieve. Just pure perfection all around.
I grew up with Gary Chalk, I didn’t know about Peter Cullin until I saw the first Bay film. I respect and believe that Cullin was made for the role of Optimus, however I always consider Gary Chalk to be a good voice for Optimus.
I never really watched RID (2015), but there were some clips I saw from the show that I *was* fond of -- and one of the clips that gave me a good laugh was when Optimus roasted Sideswipe about calling him "Pops." XD

The one thing that this video has taught me is that unless Prime is fighting or mad about something, he's so SWEET. Who knew the Autobot leader could be such a SWEETHEART? I mean, he KNOWS whenever someone needs to be calmed down or even comforted, and he's SO sweet when he does it. I mean, his voice even gets soft. I think between him and Bee, Prime is the SWEETEST Autobot on his team.
Micheal bay could have gotten anyone to voice Optimus Prime, the fact that they got THE Optimus Prime for all the live action movies will be one of the few good choices they made
Late to reply but Peter actually had to audition for it. And the main reason Bay went with him was because fans wouldn’t shut up, wouldn’t stop pressuring him about it. I don’t think he was even going to look in Peter’s direction at first
