Am I the only one who did not mind Talia during the Grant run? I mean yeah I like the classic version and I do not want Evil Talia to be the definitive version but you have to admit, Taila was pretty intimidating and ruthless. It is a nice alternative to her constantly forced to choose between bats and her father and it shows what would happen if Talia gave inti her darker nature
@@zemox2534 The problem I have with that take is that no reason is ever given for her to suddenly be like that, it come out of nowhere and just goes completely against what Talia was always like in the past. Morrison even said himself once that he tried to base it off Son of the Demon but never actually read it and so made up a lot of the details like Talia drugging Bruce. Plus, it’s because of this that we got Damian, I think one reason why Talia has been portrayed like this ever since is because it’s that characterization of her that’s associated with Damian.
@@goblintributemaker2539 True. If writers cared, they would make Talia sympathetic and complex while keeping her relationship with Damien intact. Although I always thought it was built up from her constantly dying and being brought back to life by her sister in death of maidens. The pits drive people insane, and Talia was put in the pit many times by Nyssa. If Morrison explained that was the reason for her insanity, people would probably be less angry.
