I might have thought too much into it and though it was a joke about how warped her sense of lifespan must be with the whole family being functionally immortal.
That picture was taken out of the comics. Though the style is in the graphics of this presentation. I wouldn’t have thought that anyone would have had a camera handy where the original scene was depicted, presented.
@@conangod00 okay. I’m not sure what you mean But if I get the right idea, what I meant was the setting in which the picture was supposed to have been taken. And the time. Please note that the story of the Al Ghuls predates the digital era. As we know it. I wouldn’t have thought that too many people would have just had a very portable camera handy. Did I get you right ?
In her mind, she is actually beyond happy that Bruce still keeps this photo. But presenting herself as Nightwing‘s new “Bat-Daddy“, is just cringe or sus.
Contrary to popular opinion, Talia originally was never an evil psychopath. She was someone who literally wanted to save the planet. But only die hard bat fans know that. You had to have read “Son of the Demon” where Bruce & Talia were willingly in love. That sex was definitely consensual lol Bruce was head over heals for Talia. Don’t blame him though.
Funny...then why did he not F*** her in DC Special Series Vol 1 15, you know...the issue they are forcefully wed in? Funny that he also starts dating Catwoman right after O'Neil's run is finished and its O'Neil who marries them...almost a year after Earth two batman and Catwoman's daughter Debuted in DC Super-Stars 17 (along with there wedding on earth two)...funny thing about O'Neil....he hated Catwoman, liked Bruce with his creation Talia and was Batmans primary editor from 1986-2000, and Catwoman's editor for much of that time...and was likely the one to piece together what would remain of batman's canon post Crisis and what would go out. (not to mention bruce was forced to trust Talia with his identity as in her first experience she literally removes his cowl after her father's men beat him unconscious) i have read BSOD it made me sick how talia treated Bruce in that. Batman kills Qayin in it, (who Talia wanted dead)...Talia kills when Bruce had ordered Non-lethal force to be used by the league from that point on. Ra also forces Bruce to accept the forced marriage to Talia in order to reserve help against Qayin. Taila gives up Damian at the end...its from Earth-85...not New Earth...or its proper designation of earth-1985🤷♂, so give me the issue BSOD was made canon to Earth-ZERO...but know i will check the reference.
@@gundanium3126 Believe me I know about Denny. May his beautiful soul rest. He created 1 of my 2 favorite DC characters of all time in Lady Shiva. Debuting in “The Question”. I’m just pointing out that not every version of Talia drugs and rapes Bruce. That was Morrison’s doing. I honestly will never forgive him for that because look what’s happened since…A whole animated movie adaptation was made with her doing that. Just for him to come out later and say “my bad guys I fucked up”. Smfh. However, most of the characters I like are shallow versions of themselves nowadays. I.E Lady Shiva.
@@AgeoftheGeek_ What talia does to Batman in BSOD is far worse SAing him. she turns him into a murderer at the end of it after choosing her father over Bruce.🤷♂
@@AgeoftheGeek_ PS: 1: Lady Shiva did not first appear in the question she first appeared in Richard Dragon, Kung-Fu Fighter Vol 1 5. 2: a LOT of Catwoman fans likely hate O'Neil for how he treated her for 14 years. given He hated her he approved of portrayal in Batman: Dark knight returns, Batman year one, Catwoman Vol 1(her sisters keeper) Catwoman vol 2 1-63...Batman: Bloodstorm and likely Especially for Batman: Dark Allegiances...if you have read it you will know what I am talking about.
I never thought i would say this, but i feel so sorry for Damian... I mean his father is wreck, who started zombie Apocalypse just because he could not deal with his issues(Kevin's Conroy's Bats at least admitted that he has issues.. LOTS OF ISSUES). and his mother tried to buy a freakin' pacifier for 12-year old kid 😂😂 Damian should thank the god that Alfie, Dick and Barbara were with him...
Yeah, this show really takes a lot of jabs at the main heroes, which makes sense in context, since the protagonists are not heroes. It's mostly why I've decided to stay away from it. I mean, don't get me wrong, it's definitely creative and a lot of dedication is put into it. But it just didn't interest me as much anymore because I'm all down for a critique of a fictional character, but you do it too many times and it gets kind of annoying. Also, Conroy's Batman is considered to be one of the best ones of all time, not just because of his complexity (I mean, he appeared in six different shows spanning his entire lifetime), but also because he showed the most important part of Batman: his overwhelming compassion, his capacity to love, the "Knight" in the "Dark Knight". The same guy that dodged Darksied's Omega Beams and stared Superman down with Kryptonite also sat by a dying girl's side until her time came, comforted Baby Doll during her breakdown, helped Harley Quinn get better, held a soft spot for Mr. Freeze, and so much more. Kevin Conroy is right up there with Adam West in the Batman world, and he will be missed terribly.
to be fair to Talia she's lived for quite a long time. I understand her perception of time getting iffy consider the trips to the Lazarus pit could screw your brains a bit.
@@herloss448 talking about how both on the surface, do a lot of ecoterrorism schemes, secondly I was thinking about the obvious part when it turns out he was just using her for his own ends,
I'm actually surprised to see her. But I'm OPEN to Talia, IF this show treats her right. I've heard praises that Catwoman was given a personality/character beyond Bruce's on/off gf. I would like the same for Talia. Though if I'm catching this right, did like how Nightwing looked at her when she couldn't recognize her son (though to be fair he also left when Damian was young). Almost like a protective hen. IF I'm reading that right. He probably didn't want her in charge
O'Neil did prevent some character growth for Italian in the 14 years he was primary editor on the batman books from 1986-2000. Talia kills 2 innocent Wayne Industries employees in the episode, which is entitled B.I.T.C.H. (⬅The actual name of the episode). Catwoman has always had her own personality outside of her relationship with Batman. from what has been hinted in this episode and the one before this Talia Is being brought in as a Antagonist, and bruce did not want her in charge. She literally wants to use Wayne Industries to funnle funds to start conflicts in the world...she states that in the episode!
She wasn’t given a good personality and no, it’s the same shiny loving/Promiscuous personality she always has turned to 100. This show takes one aspect of a character’s personality and exaggerates it like how Grayson wants to be LIKE Bruce but be his own man. He changes his voice like him and shows a ton of the same traits. Aside from being a simp for Catwoman.
Turning them into a parody but keeping their core characteristics Harley Quinn hit almost every ball out of the park in this one but, why did HBO Velma fail so much in every aspect?
@@magallanesagustin4952Harley Quinn was made by people who care about the source material but also doesn’t take itself too seriously while Velma just tries to be mature with cursing and “woke” material
You know exactly why it failed. the very core concept was rotten from the start. I wouldnt be surprised if Mindy Kalling took the project just to burn it out of some grudge.
Now that the season is over I’m really confused why they made such a big deal out of Talia in the first half but then basically shoved her out of the story in the second half. It feels like the writers were going to make her the big bad of the season but then decided that they liked her too much and made it Lex instead.
Umm yeah just looked up Conservator and she is not going to be happy. Legally Conservator is a person appoint to maintain financial responsibility should someone become medically or psychologically unable to. This means yes Talia has legal authority over Damien due to her being Damien's biological mother she does not have authority over Bruce's assets because he is in jail and not in a mental hospital. Also Bruce doesn’t run Wayne Enterprise Lucas Fox does as CEO. Now she could get access to Bruce's financial assets as legal guardian of Damien.
Of which she is not. Bruce is Damien's legal guardian and Alfred is more than likely the God Father in the event Bruce dies. Hell Alfred's more than likely been designated as "Legal next of kin" bc he's been with the Wayne family for so long.
@@furionmax7824 There is something else that could put things in Alfred's and Dick's favor. That is Talia is a known terrorist to both the Justice League and the US government. One phone call and she is on a one way trip to a undisclosed location.
@@DDarkestKnightdon’t worry it’s DC, no one stays dead for long… unless you are apart of an origin story, then you’ll get the occasional “brought back but at a price/ evil” situation.
@aniocitex1131 There referring to Maternal grandfather. We have no idea if he is dead for good or just hiding Or whatever. Remember that it's canon that his Lazarus pits are having less and less of an effect on him. That's the reason he targeted bruce in the first place. To make his heir. You could easily see damien as just setting the ground work for when Bruce "finally sees the futility of his superheroism and see his way of things and joins his side!" ( He's always been pretentious like that. Makes a lot of sense being that he's a dark mirror into what bruce would become if he Let his worst traits get the better of him. Joker is what would happen to him if he finally let his insanity get the better. Ra's Is what he would become if he became an extremist in Fighting crime and Chaos. In a "he who fights monsters" sort of way!)
No, no, she said "pulled funds from," not "funds important..." etc. In other words, by using his wealth to become Batman, Bruce has been able to keep that money away from organizations like the LoA or Chevron. But, now that he's in jail and Talia has the emergency powers (for some reason), she is going to use that same wealth to support the LoA around the globe.
This version of Batman's world is crazy but I prefer this Damien. A non-murderous, quite normal kid who'd actually love to have a caring and normal relationship with his parents. And he's actually working together with his siblings! Yes please! 🙏
The sad thing is, she didn't even know that was her own son, sitting in front of her. She was not thinking about him during the time she was gone, and if she did spare a thought, she kept him as a baby in her mind. The least she could have done was mistake Nightwing for Damian, or addressed Damian as a stranger, that would be better than thinking he was still a baby.
@@samuelebincoletto637 From what I understand, part of is is that she just…doesn’t usually have blue eyes. But the other part seems to be because a lot of versions of Talia post the OG get whitewashed despite her being canonically Arab. She not only repeatedly gets given much lighter skin tones, but she gets more Eurocentric features, in this case blue eyes.
Personally, I think that Damian having blue eyes is definitely plausible. I mean, if the genes allow it, the slim chance is there. However, Talia having blue eyes is a new for me, too. Though, if you're looking for reasons to not like this show, I would go for something more "big picture" (ie characterization, plotlines, statements they might make, etc.)
@@bluebay1031 Also, Ra`s and Talia are both descended from Chinese nomads from the Eastern Roman(Byzantine for us Westerners although some locals regard that as a slur) Empire who migrated to Egypt in hopes of escaping religious and ethnic persecution in Europe, as you can probably guess that did not exactly go well.
Let’s be honest, does anyone actually like Talía? She drugged Batman into conceiving Damian (the literal definition of date-rape), brainwashed her son into being a psychopathic murderer before dropping him off on Batman’s doorstep, continues to be a leading member in a death cult, and is overall does an awful person. I swear, I will never understand why Batman tolerates her.
Honestly, I'm kinda glad that this Bruce is in jail right now. His slowly-healing psyche is way to vulnerable to deal with this bullshit at the moment. There are only so many crazy exes one man can take at time, and he should probably go for the least crazy one, aka Selina. And yes, this Selina is crazy because she is a kleptomaniac (aka she is addicted to stealing). Or hell, go with Zatanna: friends since childhood, share a mental link, strongest magician in the universe, can have fun banter and serious conversations, is hot of course, and most importantly, can keep a cool head.
Well, she could be pulling that shit out of her ass and had someone in the League of Assassins forge all of the documents for her. I mean come on, the LoA is millenia-old organization dedicated to creating a new world order. Surely they're capable of forging documents.
This is basically a show about mentally ill person disguised as a Batman animated series. Every scene with Harley shows signs of weird behavior presented as comedy.
Is Damien still Bruce's rape baby in this universe? And yes, Talia drugging Bruce to make him sleep with her is most definitely rape under pretty much every definition of the term.
