It's great to see you back on! Please don't feel any pressure to make videos. This is your hobby, and you need to keep it fun. I'm really glad to hear that things are going better for you.
ARRRRR Richards Back ! Oh so sorry to hear about your work problem ! i well understand the will to enjoy your hobby when things are going back wards ..fingers crossed for you Mate !
Batman returned. The Pink Panther returned. I did not return that last video I checked out from Blockbuster....but videolabguy has returned! Glad to see you're doing well/better and back to your projects. Looking forward to the new content :)
Great that you are back in the saddle! You expressed exactly the same sentiment as me. I also dont enjoy tinkering and fixing stuff if I dont have any real work to do at the same time. I have to be earning as I play or else the mojo dissolves. Looking forward to the videos and best wishes for your new work!
Your new project is exactly what I was hoping you would build. I want to build one too. I acquired one of the 3/4” crt tubes with blue phosphor and was intending to use that. I thought it would be a very fun project. I can’t wait to follow along with your project.
Glad to see you back. There have been films that play with the concept of turning to analog technology when digital technology is jammed or tampered with. A sort of backup system. Recently the Vogar 1 space probe required remote programming due to an error whose direct cause is still being investigated. It takes guts to share one's own personal life. I respect that very much and I know that talking to a camera makes it easier to do so.
Good to see you again! Seeing your breadboard project on the Bob CRT I'm reminded of my great uncle who was in electronics in the Bay Area. One of the kids in his neighborhood started a microphone company that still endures to this time!
Sweet! I just subscribed to your channel. I pondered about 405 line TV. It has that nice medium bandwidth. Best of luck on your camera project. Are you in Britain or Australia? Tasmania or New Zealand? Earth?
Woohoo! Glad you’re back. For all but one year of my career I have worked for startups and small companies, so I get the appeal, but yeah the lack of stability is definitely a thing. I’m happy to hear you’ve found yourself back on solid ground, and I’m looking forward to what’s to come!
You are correct. Of course this only applies to PROPERLY designed systems. A lot of the systems in the hobby world are technical chaos. By putting a plus/minus gamma corrector in my monitor, I can accept any source, no matter how off standard, and correct the image to look awesome. Or so the theory goes.... Of course, stay tuned.
The one in the up coming project was manufactured by the British company Brimar in 1976. It is a D3\130GH. Very rare from what little information I can gather.
A man of your talent struggled to find a job. Meanwhile, the US imports palette loads of indentured servants from across the globe, yet its politicians, industry leaders and media have the gall to claim there's a shortage of STEM workers.
There is truth in your words, sir. We are on the same page. Be not discouraged. This too shall pass. Persistence is the name of the game. In the mean time, I will endeavor to provide entertainment and enlightenment to offset the darkness.
