Congrats on 10k because this one will bring you there easily bro. It's been an honor to be on the journey with you. The seas of the internet are as grand as the ones in One Piece, but here we are crossing paths and taking on the oceans together. Cheers to many more years of great times and grand smiles
Thank you so much brother! This has without a doubt been one of the funnest and most interesting years of my life - and it wouldn't have been the same without You and Larry and Moash and everyone else who's been such absolute homies to me. You guys are the best, can't wait to see what this next year will have in store. Cheers Par!!!
That's one of the few things I can see myself laughing my absolute ass off if I was Roger in that moment. After all that work and trouble, the world tells you 'Your princess is in another castle! ' and you get absolutely nothing. An 'out to lunch' sign. There's something genuinely hilarious about that.
I’m Confused, isn’t the one piece Rogers Treasure? Like didn’t this whole thing start because someone asked about Rogers treasure which in turn Roger states he left it in on that island in one piece? Would that imply his treasure plus whatever information is on that island is collectively the one piece? 🤔
@Mochi_Man that's actually one of the reasons people thought the straw hat was the treasure, because it's the only thing he owned lol. it got pretty much debunked when we saw he already gave his hat to Shanks before going to Laugh Tale, so he really did leave nothing there lol.
@@magna7446 I’m not going to point out specific channels, but I’m taking about channels that just read the new chapters, give us a shitty recap with face value thoughts that anyone could do. I like actual analysis and structured theories with evidence. Like this guy does.
yeah I'm starting to find smaller creators like this putting out cool content. It reminds me of the good old days when joyboy and others weren't burnt out and made the best theories. Nothing against those guys, I guess I just miss that kind of content especially if one piece is gonna end soonish.
The idea of Gaimons island being a "baby version" of Laugh Tale is a really good theory and i'm totally on board with it. The cute little hybrid animals representing awakened god-like Zoan users, and Gaimons 20 year wait representing the worlds 20 year wait for Joyboys return is funny.
Gaimon being a symbol of Joyboy is also interesting considering much like Gaimon stuck in a box, Gum Gum fruit (that's presumably once belong to Joyboy) also introduced in a box
It's amazing how underrated this channel is. You can see the care in every video, and every video makes me feel like I have a genuine connection and understanding of what Oda is trying to tell us through his story. Not many people can do what you do man. Keep it up!
@@lifeunderthestarstv lol found the elitist that people see all one piece fans as. For liking a manga thats all about a new generation carrying hopes and dreams of people before them thats really a foolish thing to say. Idk if that makes you the bellamy or the caribou but someone in that wheel house im sure. The thing is that these ideas stay around and get talked about repeatedly cuz oda has set up a very obvious theme so itd be odd for theories to not match that theme thus they share a rough outline. If someone comes up with a theory thats so fresh and so unforseen that we havent touched on it or an adjacent thought then its prolly wrong and not very good cuz it would be missing one of the constants in this series the theme which based on the way you talk to strangers about strangers you seemed to have missed as well. Tldr hes not recycling old info he just inherited their will and if hes the new gen that makes you a washed up crab perhaps a stelly or wapol.
What if Luffy reacts to what’s on Laugh Tale differently than Roger by lamenting it instead of laughing (an inversion on the gaimon story and rogers at the same time) and that’s what Rayleigh meant when he said “you’ll probably reach your own conclusion”. Maybe there’s something Luffy has learned on his journey that will make him react differently than Roger. Maybe a parallel to Ace’s death in Joyboy’s story? If Joyboy is like Luffy maybe he’ll understand something Roger couldn’t.
nope, that's out of character for Luffy. like he said "i don't even care if it exists or not", his actual quote. He is in it for the journey, i dont think he'd care if its there or not. because remember his true dream is something beyond the One Piece, so as long as he reaches Laugh Tale, Big News Morgan will most likely give him the Pirate King title, and he will go on to achieve his real dream.
@@newt2120 I don’t think I said anything about what the One Piece is or if it exists or not? Not sure what you’re replying to. All I said is that it’d be cool if what Rayleigh meant by “a different conclusion” was that the strawhats may not laugh like the Roger pirates did when they read whatever the “laugh tale” is. Them crying at the story they will inevitably uncover doesn’t have any bearing on what you mentioned. I’m not saying he’ll give up or anything, it’ll just be a sad moment that inspires action instead of a necessarily funny one given the context of what the strawhats specifically have been through. It may hit too close to home.
I've wondered about this myself. I think Hidden is right, that the true history is there on a poneglyph, and the story that's there may look quite different to the Straw Hats than it did to the Roger Pirates. Different times, different perspectives. Honestly, since Roger laughed, I'd prefer that Luffy didn't, especially Luffy laughing in the Gaimon chapter already links him to Roger on Laugh Tale. A different reaction would be narratively more satisfying, though I'm leaning more towards anger than sadness.
I'm glad I get to see the rise of this channel while I did. This smooth mix of comfort and One Piece is like a dream, and done so well together that it works shockingly well. This intro took my breath away, and is something worth sticking to for more vids. I love the comfortable vibe, it feels like a breath of fresh air.
So according to her Vivre Card, Mansherry is 25 years old. Meaning she was born the year Roger and his crew found LT, which would make them too early. Also remember the line from the seakings in 968: "The whales will be delighted in anticipation of the day the two sovereigns meet". I was always under the impression that this means Shirahoshi and Luffy (as the whales were happy), but what if this means Shirahoshi and Mansherry (both princesses). They both were present at the reverie. And to create the One Piece you need someone to ressurect it and someone to bring it to the surface. Goated video. and goated ending to it.
I never considered Mansherry, I assumed the other sovereign was gonna be Vivi, maybe Momo but Vivi just makes sense to me given somewhat recent reveals about her and her ancestor from the Void century
When Rayleigh said "Even if I told you, you coundn't do anything right now" has a whole new meaning when you realize it was not only a question of power, but timing too
I thought it would be nearly impossible to top the quality of your Whitebeard video. It was so obvious how much intent and care went into doing Newgate proper justice in your analysis. I think it's still probably my favorite video of yours, but you keep raising the bar of quality. Other OP channels are like fast food compared to the delicious and well-rested steak that is THI. The way you structure your points while also keeping your tone incredibly conversational and casual gives these videos such an amazing atmosphere. You've nailed the ability to make me feel like I'm just sitting in a room with a buddy shooting the shit about OP. The new intro is, in fact, fire.
Thank you so much Nemphis, I really appreciate all the support you’ve shown for the channel 🙏 Always gonna do what I can to bring you and everyone else content that makes you smile ✊ Thanks again for watching bro, you made my day with this one!
I‘ve been thinking about this island beeing important foreshadowing for 10 years now but my friends won’t believe me. I remember reading one piece as a kid and I went through it over and over again, and this island always felt way too odd to not be important. Great Video! I hope you get to be one of the greatest one piece RU-vidrs one day, you and Parvision are the only ones that only release videos that make 100% sense. No gimmicks, just facts and epic theory’s!
The content just keeps getting better and better, that intro is incredibly fire I've had to rewatch it 4 or 5 times. Keep up the good stuff Hidden, you'll be making an appearance at the reverie next year I'm sure
Found your channel like 2 days ago and I am amazed with it so far keep up the good work You earned a sub bc you deserve it 🔥🙏🏼 Edit : Congrats on 10k m8 💪🏼🔥
I’m telling even now you’ll be big one day I love your theories including par vision and my g marshal d preach but don’t count yourself out 🥰❤️ keep em coming, and little bit faster if possible I need something to watch tooo 😂
Epic theory, this will definitely have some truth in it, I’ve herd of theories about Gymon chapter but nothing compared to this detailed explanation. Keep up the good work! Will be waiting for the next video!
Watching this episode in the anime, always gave me a strange feeling that this island and little side adventure wasn't insignificant but actually could be very important foreshadowing way down the line in the plot. One of my favorite side adventures the straw hats go on
your videos are so beautiful and you are a very articulate person. Please don't stop following your one piece! may the fruits of your labor be plentiful!
Glad to see you back! Great theory, I've been thinking a lot about Gaimon recently. That chapter has to be important, it just doesn't make sense to Oda to include it otherwise. Also, huge props to LeeJay. That opening is awesome!
You’re really spot on with the theories. The recurring motif in One Piece are valuing knowledge over wealth. At every end of the arc, us viewers get a bit of the lore being uncovered. Perhaps the truth of the world and the void history lies in the poneglyph that’s in laugh tale. Looking at it on your lens, it does make sense; roger laughed because it was the irony of the physical, concrete idea of the treasure.
You’ve been my favorite one piece RU-vidr since I first saw your videos earlier this year. You manage to outdo yourself with every new video in every facet of creation. Keep up the phenomenal work brother EDIT: Finished the video, i always come out of these theories feeling like a prophet just spoke to me. I hope it’s real cause I love Gaimon so much
I've been bing watching your content man. I like the themes, the atmosphere and the way you develop your theories (that make absolute SENSE!) Really, REALLY nice work! Keep it up! Best regards from Perú!
you bring up so much mind blowing evidence with the Gaimon theory and there's probably a lot more foreshadowing in it than you brought up. for me it reminded me how when Luffy went up to get the treasure, gaimon told him to bring it down and Luffy refused, it wasn't until Gaimon guessed they were empty that Luffy revealed they were empty. to me this symbolizes Luffy "creating the treasure" since by not revealing it's empty, he's trying to keep Gaimons imagination filling in the blanks. or not lol.
The quality of this channel is so high and I thoroughly enjoy your videos man. I thought this channel had 10 mil subscribers but when I subscribed I was surprised to see a K instead of an M. Keep the amazing content up man you'll get the recognition you deserve very soon. I'm rarely nice online but I feel like this had to be said :)
Hahaha glad that was what sealed the deal! LeeJay killed it with the opening, so I'm really happy to see the reception being so positive. Thanks for watching and keeping up with the channel! Glad to finally welcome you aboard!
Man this is good. I can't wait for the reveal to happen now. So many good ideas but we'll never know for sure until it's actually shown to us. This is why I love one piece because even when we think we're on to something it could be something completely different. Can't wait for it to shake the world!
I recently came across this channel as I'm planning a trip to Japan and randomly decided to listen to One Piece videos while packing/planning, and I have to say you've really reinvigorated my love and interest in One Piece! I've watched a good amount of your videos now and it's been really fun learning so much about One Piece that I never even considered. I've been following the manga for about 15 years now so you can imagine I don't remember every little detail, but I'm more excited than ever to see how this journey will end. Thank you for putting so much thought and effort into your videos!
My favorite part about one piece is the theories i just love how so many different theories make sense i kinda don't want the mystery to be answered but i also wanna see how oda manages to give an answer that no one expected but make sense
My main theory about Luffy's DF is that it is both the Gum Gum Fruit as well as the Hito Hito no mi model Nika. I think Nika did something that transformed the gum gum paramecia into a paramecia/zoan hybrid. This could explain the lack of natural alt forms that zoans normally have and the capability to make the surroundings rubberized as demonstrated by luffy's awakening.
Hey!!! Great vid. Gaemon is definitely important i think. But... there is something. I'm maybe boring pointing it out... but as i read it, here is what i think happened : - Roger go to sail the world and become a pirate. He is not searching the one piece. In fact, there is no mention of one piece. Hé just have a dream he wanna realize. - Roger find Laugh Tale. He describes Joy boy's tale as "quite a treasure he left here". - Roger says "they called it the one piece. The treasure I left". I think he is speaking about Morgans, or the world, after the news he have found the... hidden island ;) - Roger says he left all of his treasures, the one piece, on this island. So for me... the one piece is just the name the world invented for Rogers treasure left on this hidden island, where the tale of Joy Boy is written.
Before I even start the video I wanna say thank you for putting respect on my man's name. I've been yelling into the voids of Reddit for years say how gaimon was my favorite character in all of one piece . I think he will be bigger then foxy in the end of OP.
Just struck me that the part where Chinjao can't access his treasure for 20 years(I think?) since Garp beat his pointy head in, could be foreshadowing to what the pirate king found at Laughtale. As in laughing because they could see the One Piece, but not access it, and also being made aware of what requirements aren't met.
The bar is back! And with a wonderful new animated opener! Excellent theory, my man. I've seen others suggest Gaimon is an important clue/foreshadowing, but nothing I've seen has connected or supported all the puzzle pieces as well as you have here. You tying Luffy laughing in ch 22 with Roger laughing on Laugh Tale blew my mind! One thing you said stood out to me: Oda calling the OP a "vast treasure". What if Oda wasn't being sly? In English usage, "vast" describes "limitless, boundless" things like the sea, the sky (also the night sky or space), the Underworld (Shakespeare's "vasty deep"), and legendary lands/kingdoms -- which would seem to track with Poseidon, Uranus, Pluton, and the Ancient Kingdom. Morj has a theory that the OP treasure is the All-Blue itself, an unimpeded ocean for Luffy to explore. The destruction of the Red Line re/creating the All Blue seems to be a widely accepted theory, but what if it also reveals or reforms the Ancient Kingdom as well? Is it possible the empty treasure chests suggest not the absence of treasure but one too vast to be contained? Granted, this idea hinges on a translation and the og Japanese might not bear it out, but I do enjoy how your theories always seem to light a spark in my brain. (Edited for wording)
The name of the chapter and a guy who went living on an island w strange animals as friends reminds me of the book where the im sama power is taken from
Never even seen this video didnt even know it was Oda's favourite character either. Ill be honest dont even know if this guys the first one to theorize this. Just happened upon this video, I fell in love with One Piece episode one because of the incredible story telling and art style as im not a big fan of anime. While i skipped a lot of filler (had to avoid foxy lol) Gaimon wholeheartedly was my favourite character, amongst others like Law and Railey. Had this idea in my head about Gaimon being important so much so my buddy and I joked about it to the point it became a running joke between us that Gaimon would have importance later on. Cuddos to you dude for voicing this idea outloud. Was a thought that kinda made me laugh my ass off while watching throughout the show. If it becomes a reality. Then that's some amazing foreshadowing and a really good memory between me and my buddy 😂
Man, I love this so much. Keep going with the amazing content. Imagine back beard reaching laugh tale and finding the tale full of laughs wonder how he reacts to this
As I've said before You Are the MAN.The knowledge you have..you turn it to wisdom..your the 1 the knows what's gonna happen.its a little less theory with you and more of common sense and great analysis of story telling
You know how every ship has a book where the keep a record of all their journey from island to island and everything they did. I think the ponegylph is joyboys crews logbook.
The treasure does exist. Or at least will exist before the end of the story and we will see it. I think, the existence of One Piece is related to Toki's devil fruit. I still believe that Toki is not dead. That scar has to come a full circle someday.
