You two are awesome. Although I am usually busy doing life, today I have been devoting to you in your adventures and the cool stuff you dig, love you both and I will comment again shortly 😊
I knew you guys would have coverage of that incredible Safari wagon. Coolest thing at the show by far. Realized after I left I needed more of it and you provided!
Hi guys, Just a bit of history. The Grand National Roadster Show started in the early 50's in Oakland CA. It was there for over 40 years before it was moved to Santa Clara for a year or two. Then it was finally moved to Pomona. I just mentioned this because, I always hear people talk about the show like it has always been a SoCal show. I attended this show in Oakland for decades, along with the Rod & Custom show at the Cow Palace. But I have to say as much as I miss the show being a 30 minute drive from my house, it's in a better location now. Oakland is a dead city, not to mention the crime.
👋 Hi guys I just can't help but notice that really good looking couple that you gave a sticker to 😅 early on in the video, the guy with a Chevy hat and a 'Dashing Gold T' standing next to his wife, he said (he watches your videos all the time) 😂 That was me 😂 Love all your projects keep up the good work guys
I just love Tiki Bars. The drinks and atmosphere really set the mood for the evening. The bar your visited is really awesome. I only wish I was not 3000 miles from it . Regards from Ody Slim
The half tread tires were used for racing and that way you could tell if your tire is wearing too thin when the tread is gone. I learned this from a tour guide at the American Museum of Speed in Lincoln, NE.
Those drinks looked legit - I'm thirsty!!! That Nova gasser was my favorite by far. Those toolless quick release bowl screws make me think of the Mechanic from the movie Two Lane Blacktop... "Gotta check the jets" haha
Olivia your rocking the little black dress. But, the Tiki bar was cool. Loved the car show. You do favor the Pontiac’s. The story with the pink Vette was sad. No Facial hair on the cover of a National magazine. The paint jobs are out of this world. Thank you for sharing! 💯👍
Thanks for taking us along and the Tiki history lesson. I saw that Danny! LOL, the picture on the wall 😂. I'm getting tipsy just watching the bartender making your drink 😂. Glad to hear Short Stack the RV is working out well. The roadsters were all awesome, hard to pick a single winner. Why not turn Hank into a Gasser or is he one already... maybe I'm not educated on what a Gasser is, can go over that in your next Live show. That red Mustang with the monstrous engine/superchargers.. very unique and one of a kind. Nice low riders and the paint jobs were amazing, I don't want to know how much time/money were put into these rides. The blue car, uh yeah no, but maybe the nose hump is for down force? I thought the mini motor home looking ride next to it seemed cool. Hot rod engines running and seeing it at night with flames, that was Gnarly and never gets old. Thanks for sharing this event. 🍻
You two are a perfect example of, and role models for, a loving couple. Thanks for sharing this awesome experience with us as it was nice to visit a Car Show from NY in Feb when it's 27 degrees outside with frost on the cars. Thank goodness punxsutawney phil didn't see a shadow, so maybe we'll have an early spring and get our cars out in April this year. Cheers from The Miller's -Rochester NY.
Hi Liv and Danny!! Just enjoyed an episode of Nick's Garage today, and I was thinking GNARLY speed shop will be on tomorrow (Tuesday) I am a big fan of GNARLY speed shop, love all your episodes! Whatever you guys are up to I enjoy watching you kids! I am 66 and retired..The tiki bar history was cool, and of coarse all the Hotrods!
See that's what I like about cars like that the story behind it that is an awesome story it's sad but it's awesome I love cars with stories you know that's the best thing about hot rod
8:30 Dany! You got some great taste, my man… 11:26 forget SUVs, this was a kids dream back in the day, gorgeous wonderful family transporters. Eat, play, sing, sleep (and throw up) all the way to grannies, 3 states east of home. 13:58 Herman Munster meets Dr. Seuss… 19:36 That’s a Kid’s dream build, OVERDO EveRyThing. 32:16 Heaven!!! Cars, Sun, Margaritas & Tacos.
I don't know how long the auto Rama in Sacramento has been going on, for once a year, it's an indoor eye candy of sheet metal, some of the show car builders paint their vehicles right before the auto Rama starts...... the amount of chrome on these vehicles, you need to be wearing sunglasses. If you haven't been to one, I encourage you all to break a leg getting down there.the vendors are incredible. Good show, thanks.
This is and has been one of my favorite channels and I always look forward to seeing 👀 more, I just can't believe that you don't have at least a few hundred thousand subscribers if not more, again it's one of my favorites because it's a well done car channel. 😊
There use to be a Tiki Steak House bar in Glendale Ca..back in the 60's the the best food around orther then the a place called ti King's Table in Pasadena that served prime rib
Looks like you had more fun in the tiki bar than the car show, i really liked that second car, the Black hot rod with the flathead v8, there were many other great looking cars especially the 50's pontiac wagon.
Here i am, sat here in my victorian flat in deepest darkest Derbyshire, outside all i can see is a massive blizzard i have to cycle to work in and you're sat smashed out of your faces in a tiki bar in sunny LA 😐 i've never been more depressed in all my life!!
I love all the rods....but there is just something about those running an old school flathead. I had a 49 Packard with a flathead straight 8, you don't see them much anymore and never in a hotrod!
Without a doubt California has some killer hot rods. And I'm a Tennessee Man A lot of you are fleeing California to come here Yes please don't bring those idiotic California politics with you. Other than that welcome😊
When I lived in Cali (Pismo Beach) I HATED having to drive to LA. The traffic there really, really sucks. The stretch from Thousand Oaks to around Dana Point is a 125ish miles of hell and easily matches any other city in the US for awfulness.
