Keisuke said on his twitter to Atif that it would be unlikely for him to win post-reset again even if he didn't drop the combo. Atif made a similar comment to him too, so likely both players just being pretty humble about it. But based on how well players like Atif/Arslan adjust in long sets, I'd imagine most people would put their money on Atif winning. Regardless, Keisuke is now one of the premier mishima players to watch out for. A Kazuya in top 8... Crazy!
Not like it was the final round. Atif beat him in the next round and won. Atif made instant adjustments and won just admit it already. He's the 2022 TWT champion.
As if keisuke is incapable of making adjustments and altering his timing like he did the entire tournament. Within the set he almost won he made adjustments.
Was heartbreaking to see Keisuke drop that combo. That match was his to win, and with all the nerves he probably did that combo out of muscle memory instead of adjusting for the axis he was on. Great run either way, amazing performance from Keisuke.
I agree, muscle memory. I watched so many of his replays, I follow that combo route because he does it. He’s been using that route for months now. I can’t blame him for not changing his combo in that moment. It doesn’t make sense to me why that route drops to begin with.
I was there for this live. The whole crowd was insane. Tbe background sounds from the commentary really do not sell how just loud it was in that room whenever Keisuke was on screen
Not a good comparison. Asuka has tools that are literally designed to disrespect frames and mix ups. Like her b3. Kazuya’s uf3 into 1+2 is something I have never seen and you have to admit that it was a sick set up.
Not really, keisuke is his own version. The player outside asia doesn't think everyone outside is whoever spams a lot wins. If atif is not using a tier S we all know who wins this tournament PKT all they know is pick meta characters.
Damn, what an amazing run. The tekken prowess in these matches was unmatched. And props to Atif too, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a pro play as violently as he does and it’s really fun to watch.
Genuinely curious: Does any non-pakistani actually root for Atif and the other pakistani players? Their fanbase is so obnoxious that it is really hard not to root for the opponent - and also hard to just enjoy good tekken matches when watching or reading the behaviour of many (maybe the loud?) pakistani fans. Never felt the same way towards any country before the pakistanis entered the twt scene in 2019
who cares about the fanbase, and i can assure you these "loud fans" are not tekken fan but js obsessed with the country, they see Pakistani represantaion at international level and support it above and beyond, which is cool but sometimes they can js be annoying, its almost same in every community, maybe not EU or NA tho, i dont see that from them
Pakistanis root hard for there players...... Cuz they know they r very very strong region (not insulting other regions or something) but we pakistanis know our own tekken prowess so maybe they dont need your foreign people rooting or watever u may call...... U just need ur own people thats it..... And yea when u keep winning so many tournaments as a pakistani professional tekken player fan boys and non fan boys will become obnoxious
Judging by how non pakistani especially westerners discriminate and downplay towards their representative, i can understand why their fans behave like that
@@asad_ae You probably got a point regarding many not being tekkens fans but rather pakistani supporters. That might also explain why their “presence” (the loud ones) seem to alienate the tekken scene I used to know.
@@Bruhhh.......... Pakistani fans are rooting for their players yes, as they should. However, there is no connecting imo between players winning many tournaments and their fanbase developing an obnoxious/toxic behaviour towards others, as you seemingly state. If you have been following the tekken scene for a while and watched before Pakistan entered the scene in 2019, no such equal behaviour was present or exercised by any country/region to the same degree as today.
Those domed floors are where you get drops of those tornado mine with Kaz. It seems Keisuke experienced this in tournament for the first time...damn shame
Downplay what ?being at best top 15 character in this heat fest ?big deal he’s finally competent now but he’s not top of the tekken roster by any means
Kazuya is really good now. He ain’t THAT top level good to be considered where everyone needs to have a pocket Kazuya to win tournaments, but hell yeah Kazuya is definitely real good now.
@NicoMambino Yeah, he's still not s tier just from how hard he is to operate at a top level But he sure is A+, probably even towards the top of A+ now I'd say
These guys travel all over the world for not even enough money to be comfortable..... GOD WE HAVE TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS IF WE WANT THE BEST TO BE PROS.
Man, this tournament hit home. The amount of work Keisuke had to do to make it this far vs the others (no discredit to them) and to lose the way he did. Smh 💔
Hello TMM I started playing tekken after watching your content. And I just wanted to tell you i mastered the Dorya!! From your tutorial in just 2 mins it was super easy Thanks alot you are a god.
It would be as astonishing as you say if it was Tekken 7, i think in Tekken 8 Kazuya is different case and can be used on that level with his new kit, but still KEISUKE carve his pedestal on Tekken world stage with this performance
Dragunovs long, sweeping erratic (but still somehow it looks deliberate) and kind of spastic looking movement makes him look very different and I like it a lot. Also, my boy Kazuya is finally where he belongs!
45:23, this combo dropped because he hadn't side stepped left. I get he was going for the PEWG but the side stepped re-alignment would have won him this tournament
i switched from Alisa to Jun, to Paul, to King, and now i'm playing Kazuya. it feels like you put in more effort, while at the same time you sometimes feel as if you're cheating in a way. love tekken.
is everyone but me dislexic? go read the name of cd1+2 again. i told this to so many people. its not "petricide fist" or whatever you call it. there is no T. its "parricide fist" this coming from a jin main btw XD
Yup. I get annoyed how everyone says that lol. Every time I hear it I say "It's PARRICIDE fist" haha. They don't realize those are actually different words. They think it's "patricide" because it's the move he kills Heihachi with. That words means "to kill one's father", where as "parricide" means "to kills one's parent or near relative".
47:34 This is why Atif butt is the champion. I doubt someone else coould have pulled this off at this stage of the tournament. keisuke played amazingly but atif really wanted to become the champion too 😂........
You are basically handful of Kazuya players to have admitted online that Keisuke should not have opted for THAT combo route on the off-axis ws2, especially with the wall so close. Too many Kazuyas took to twitter to shit on devs instead of taking accountabiliy that yeah...Keisuke chose the wrong Kazuya combo when it mattered.
