His downfall has to be when he allows serral to continously harass his middle base and doesnt go all in when serral is out of anti air

@@hk-wt5iu yeah, and that is the most annoying part of Zerg army: combining with free units like brood lords, swarm hosts they can do infinite amount of damage without any resources in opposit of Protoss. Basically if you can't choke the Zergs fast enough then it will grind you down in the long run.

I mean, showtime can hardly attack into the zerg at that point. If Serral has the concave and the defensive position, it's very hard to win these fights.

Easy to say when there's no fog of war, though. That's life.

Showtime misplayed numerous times and this is the best game of 2022? Seral is a beast, sure, but if that is the state of the game, well I am not interested to watch the scene again. That was a boring match with another skytoss that still hasn't figured out how to win a lategame. On the other hand, it's a replay of SC2HL, tells me everything.

Doesn't help that the gold base was quite exposed and the carriers were dead weight, along with the reckless observers. More voids and a couple disruptors perhaps?

@@Wabbelpaddel Carriers vs. Zerg are worthless, I'm amazed that we even see them at this level of play. Showtime would have better spent the resources on Stalkers, which says a lot about the state of late game Protoss.

@@cugamer8862 True, it's kina messed up. Having run tests with stalker-phoenix colossus void combos, they even did well against the godawful lurker hydra corruptor BL combo. Problem is: The micro demand becomes insane. Try using phoenix gravity vs. lurkers while dealing with the hydras and BLs while blink microing, and microing colossi away and sniping with voids. That is superhuman demand. Not to mention if you get sentries or templars. Forget about microing drops by that point. Meanwhile zerg has so many opportunities to screw one over and just controlgroup + A. You know, if psy-storm did a proportional slowdown the longer units stay in, it would already help so much more without being too OP. No need for zerg to cry, they then actually need skill to micro mutas. As for this game, the carriers were a decision by greed, as Shows mine rate was nuts, and more were really not better, think about mobility, whereas yes, more stalkers wouldve been good. And the observer management was short-sighted (pun intended). Either way, Show's ludicrously much better than me.

@@Wabbelpaddel Bro, wtf are you talking about? "Stalker-phoenix colossi void" is a trash army and not because of any micro demands but because it just sucks. Pretty much insta-lose vs BL, corruptor, ling. Plus microing stalkers, phoenixes colossi and void rays is not very difficult at all even if you added in sentries(???) and HT which are both also very easy to control. Also: "actually need skill to micro mutas". Obviously there's tons of skill required to micro mutas but it actually doesn't matter vP because phoenixes are pretty much a hard counter. The same way playing blink stalker disruptor takes a lot of skill to micro but will still lose against BL or Lurker.

It's fun to watch Protoss building late game units only to be slaughtered by Zerg that have no end of counters to those units? Showtime outfought Serral for nearly the entire match, and had a huge income advantage but a few fungals and neurals were all it took to put an end to that.

Showtime had the game all he needed to do was atack but instead he waited for over 15 min. And what would Zerg be able to do versues SKytoss if not even the best Zerg player would be able to beat it? I am a master 3 in Protoss and Zerg and a MAster 2 in Terrian...... NA d i am heavily dissapointed in your complain just cuz your a protoss....

Skytoss is litterally an A click while the zerg have to control 5 differents groups

@@helenagustafsson3653 I'm not a Protoss player, in fact I rarely play SC2 at all these days. I am a fan of the e-sport however, and I'm tired of seeing PvZ games where the high end Protoss units are completely eclipsed by Zerg units. TvZ doesn't have this problem.

I generally agree, but I think it's simpler than that. All three races are represented more or less equally in every stage of tournaments, and the win rates in all match ups across all leagues are rather even. It is by definition, a balanced game. The discussion should stop there. Then like you say, who wins in these tournaments is entirely up to the players' skills and nothing more.
