This figure is phenomenal, just like most things done by SH Figurearts. Disappointed I missed this now, and I want them to do a line of the OGs. To my knowledge they have not done them

Being in both the power ranger and ghostbusters fandoms I have gotten to know Bandai’s work pretty well cause they were the merchandisers for the super sentai franchise power rangers is based so the quality of their work was normally great most of the stuff being rereleases of the Japanese version with English speaking electrics inside

I still have the first release of Kenner’s Marshmallow Man. It was one of my favorite toys when I was a kid.

Rarily ever mentionned - another very nice Stay Puft was released in the 80s by the Japanese Model Kit company Tsukuda Hobby. Came with two interchangeable heads, superb sculpt and 1:90 scale.

It would be great for you to compare all the staypuft figures around this size

I still got my 1984 Stay Puft 😉 its on my HO scale train layout with my Ectomobiles & mini ones from the Drink n Play drinks cheering him on

For those not in the know, this was listed on the Premium Bandai(P-Bandai) store, for originally $72 back in 2016. The way those listings usually work is you pay full price up front, the pre-order window is only open for a set amount of time, and once it's gone, it's usually gone for good. P-Bandai items *usually* never get re-issued, and after that pre-order window is gone, your only option is third party sellers. I can't remember fully, but I believe at that time the US P-Bandai shop was either non-existent, or in its early stages, so I believe you might have also needed a middleman to order this item, and then ship it to you, as their store was limited to Japanese residents only.

Awesome toy! I want one! I have a small collection of Ghostbusters stuff, including: a stuffed stay puft, and some perler figures. After seeing this video, I realize that I need to expand my collection considerably. I am looking forward to that greatly.

That is awesome. I have the diamond select stay puft bank. It was by far my favorite stay puft toy ever made. It's got the right height and the look is spot on. Thay being said this one is definitely better because of all the different options it comes with. The bank only cost me $30 at a flea market so it was definitely the right price. If this one is to exspensive for most the bank is definitely a solid second option. Especially since it will most likely be a display peace for most collectors.

rw:as much as i like MR.STAY PUFT,if it was anymore convincing it would've have more accessories like: Battle damages proton stream blast burning body piece for Mr. Stay Puft Proton blast stream attack effect (like those bendable plastic toys you see from those Lightning collection power ranger and dragon ball toys ) 4 mini versions of the ghost busters team in any articulation poses blasting stay puft a set of gozer the gozarian's entrance even Gozer itself set from Dana's apartment complex top roof floor building and all or in short some sort of playset for the ultimate experiance to recreate that one scene in GHOSTBUSTERS,and of course the set wouldnt be complete without the little mini hot wheel size Ecto-1

Thanks for the great review! an undeniable quality figure from Figuarts. They usually nailed it and this is no exception. The only downside is the current price point, pretty high. Even so, it´s worth it. Don´t you think that it would be awesome if Hasbro make an extra large Stay Puft figure? don´t know what is stopping them from doing it in a similar way to what they have been doing with figures like the collossal rex in the Jurassic Park line.
