@@flitegodzilla3554 it may take a while, but keep at it, you’ll get it. The best part is that once you get it, you’ll probably have it for life. I played trumpet in high school, and I managed to squeak out a high a at the very highest. I could get a high g consistently. After high school, I didn’t play for something like 10 years before I came across another trumpet by chance at a friend of a friend’s house. I worked my way three octaves up the g major scale and barely pushed out the last few notes. I’m a trumpet player, this year was when I graduated high school going into the UGA Redcoat band afterwards. Somehow our high school hosts the Blue Devils for practice each year for the South East Championship. I saw this show right before all of my (to this day) my greatest friends all went off to college. @jadenlothes5001
@jadenlothes5001 Год назад
@@chuckb9595 air is definitely one of the most important parts when it comes to playing in the extreme register. Maybe not necessarily the amount of air, but volume does play an important role in getting that crisp tone and volume (I know it's mic'd but you can still tell from the sound that he's playing extremely loud). Even if you've been playing for 30 years, it's likely not something that an active lead player would know very well, just because it's quite a specialized area of the instrument. This all coming from someone who marched lead trumpet for drum corps this year 😎

I mean the 2018 scv baritone duet and in the 2016 bluecoats show when 4 trumpet soloists blasted on the ramp were also baller as hell.

Why is he playing so low, I can play 2 octaves above that without the mouthpiece, also, he seems a lot like a freshman when he takes a breath. Like, if he is the best trumpet player in their band, they must suck. Also, he needs a shinier trumpet. That was all a joke. He is SOOOOOO good. If you are seeing this soloist:) ily

I marched in a Boston Area Corps from 1965-1972. Today at 70 years young, I am still involved in DBC to this day. (with a TAC "Tempe Az Corps 2004-Present". George Collier's claim above, of The Greatest "Trumpet Solo" belonging to BD, as many attest here, is far from even Close". The age of any clamant
@dennisfleurant7251

age of clamant would need to be considered. IMHO: ONE of the Greatest and Most Emotional DCI Solo performances (on Flugelhorn) could go to Jacob Lythgoe's Heart rendering performance of UNCHAINED MELODY in THE ACADEMY's 2006 "Drum Corpse Bride" in it's debut as a DCI Finalist coming in 11th. Evokes a flood of tears upon each time I view it.

OOPS, Make that THE ACADEMY "Drum Corpse Bride Show in 2016. 70 year old memory isn't what it used to be when I marched way, way, w a y back then LOL.
