Good video but I’d personally have to give the age of triumph update as a better D1 update. I’d put the forsaken 2.0 update as the best in the history of destiny imo.
We’ve become so disappointed with destiny 2 that we have just gone back to over praising Destiny 1. This update was only beloved by people like me who still wanted to play Destiny. My old friends group still disliked the drought we had after the December update. This update wasn’t enough for them and they waited until rise of iron came along. Xbox fans still hate how they have to wait until destiny 2 came out just to get new armour and exotics that were locked behind exclusivity. This update is not the best. I’d actually say the final age of triumph update was the best. All the endgame content was updated with new cosmetics that you had to earn with mastery of challenges. You could actually earn everything from eververse for free by just playing weekly. There was more incentive to play the game then than back with the April update. While I disliked the handling of the 30th anniversary update for Destiny 2 (30 bucks for a dungeons and cosmetics is awful), the free stuff we got was great and the update to the sandbox made pvp into a good state until subclasses 3.0 and AE ruined it. I will say that I’m sad that chroma isn’t back. Also the taken armour was cool but I prefer if we had an actual shader instead of one armour set that was just reskinned.
I will never understand the content drought complaint. while playing D1 i never once felt the game was in a content drought. I played the content i payed for, thoroughly enjoyed it and then played something else until the next thing. Nobody is forcing you to play the game. I would go back to the D1 "content droughts" ANY day of the week over the constant fucking FOMO dripfeed garbage in D2. D1 had something called Quality over quantity but everyone bitched and moaned about content droughts and now were left with the shitty D2 seasonal model
