You should do chapter 4 or story mode on hard or insane, its a lot more different than you'd expect. Also try dying to a flame raptor in the mind transfer challenge or chapter 4.

I think that block arrow always blocks all arrows that you can see and upgrading it to block arrow 2 deflects the arrows straight back and block arrow 1 deflects the arrows back at a 90 degree angle and block arrow 3 deflects the arrows at wherever you’re looking at.
