Yeah, really nice to see! They do the Buckingham/Nicks well and this is a treat! I was kind of hoping for a solo similar to the one Peter plays on the bootleg "Merely a Portmanteau" which is smoldering brilliance but that's sort of a crazy ask. However, what an excellent version here-captures the power and the vibe really well-hat's off to the band! (PS-what was Judas Priest thinking when they did their version back in the day? Not the best cover...yikes)
Priest decided to do it their way and not copy what FM did exactly. I never liked the original (blasphemy ik) but it has grown on me over the last few years.
Rock is most certainly still alive and thriving with you guys about. Some excellent audio engineering once again from the desk squad who always seem to get forgotten about 🎸🎶
I apologize for not knowing the man's name that is usually the key board player but he completely blew me away with this rendition and he has such a great voice and obviously a multi-talented musician too boot~! They just keep on surprising us with one after another super performance and I so enjoy them~!!
Mick Fleetwood on drums and John McVie on bass were part of the band’s original foundation. I’m drawing a blank on the other member or two who were also excellent contributors to this musical genre period. Certainly Peter Green added that exceptional dimension to the music of the time.
@@tomconcitis9322 hello.. have to say Jeremy Spencer! the other guitarist who formed the band with Peter green. big slide player (small chap lol) Elmore James was his thing.. ..and Danny Kirwan.. 18/19? when he joined, within two months of his arrival (danny) they had their first (and only? not sure) ..number one with albatross.. and sort of stayed in the charts till Peter left 1970.. jeremy left 71? and danny 72? i think. big fan of the early 'mac 🙂
@@davidevans3227 agreed, David. I find myself gravitating to those YT's featuring the original members, recordings from the mid 60's. Man of the World and Black Magic Woman are my faves. I regret that I had not discovered their music during that period. I only found Peter Green because of a work associate over 10 years ago. He had actually visited England in the 60's period and is very knowledgeable on the contributions of many English musicians that didn't hit the American AM, FM and concert tours.
@@tprepkat2020 🙂 excellent.. what great tracks.. man of the world is so special.. Christine mcvie on a radio program called 'dessert island discs' chose man of the world as one of here choices.. and black magic woman.. i love the sound on his guitar ..and that opening chord! lol.. yeah there is such little footage of them compared to some other bands, so what is available is very precious i think.
sways brings back memories of being at Nottingham Regional College of technology and being in the students common room it was always being played on juke box.
Now, this is amazing. Time to check their set list since I’d like to see if they cover any Bob Welsh era material in their main set. Anyway, it’s great to see the boys get to rock out as it kind of brings more creditability to the band overall.
Just saw Rumours of Fleetwood Mac again at the Sage last week. Still brilliant and the right antedote after lockdown. If you haven't seen them yet do, they are the next best thing after the real fleetwood mac.
I live near Chi-town and would love to see this performance. Hopefully they do "Hypnotized." That song is so awesome! And "Green Manalishi." Both CLASSICS!
Is there one single person in this band that isn't spectacularly awesome? The musical and vocal talent just blows my mind, and that is before the fact that they sound just like Fleetwood Mac. Listening to these folks is like having your cake and eating it too!
man o man, you guys have a stunning group of musicians, you can rock!! Keep up the great work in 2019, we need more videos, are you coming to the U.S. this year???
Now, when the day goes to sleep And the full moon looks The night is so black that the darkness cooks Don't you come creepin' around Makin' me do things I don't wanna do Can't believe that you need my love so bad Come sneakin' around tryin' to drive me mad Bustin' in on my dreams Makin' me see things I don't wanna see 'Cause you're da Green Manalishi with the two prong crown All my tryin' is up, all your bringin' is down Just takin' my love then slippin' away Leavin' me here just tryin' to keep from followin' you
