I followed you mainly because you have the same ridiculously thick curly hair and we both have boats 😊

Thanks for sharing your experience and how to do it. Would you share the material cost for the deck? That would be interesting to compare with other options like flexi decks etc. Great Video ❤

Hi Caroline, of course. 15m squared area approximately. Durepox Awlgrip Whisper Grey Base, 4 litres. £124 each (x2) Durepox High performance clear Laquer. 4 Litres £150* (x1) Durepox Hardner, 1 litre £70* each (x2) Durepox 910 reducer 1litre £24 each. (x2) Kiln dried sand. £6 a bag. (x4) Masking tape. £6.60 a roll (x4) *premium airfreight price. Same reducer and hardener for both the base grey and the lacquer. Due to the shortage of hardener in the UK I reduced the ratio to around 5/6:1 meaning I could stretch it to go further. (I took advise from marineware on this who said I could go as far as 7:1 without issue) As you can see we ended up paying £636. However we payed a premium for the hardener and lacquer as they had to be specially air freighted and the cost was passed on to us. I would also say that we could have got away with 1 litres of the lacquer. So if doing it again I would have bought less. I think the price would be roughly around £500. (Also I could have made 2 bags of sand stretch easily!) I hope that helps. Marineware in Southampton for everything except the sand.
