A troubled past leads Karla to a life of no boundaries. Karla and her partner Danny held a party for Karla's sister, Kari. in attendance of the party was Karla's friend Shawn. Shawn had a broken nose and bust lip...Karla knew who was responsible for this, so she and Danny, with another accomplice, went over to this persons house...what happened next is truly grim.

Your brain isn’t even fully formed until you’re like 21 years old or something like that right? Imagine all the maladaptive ways hers formed with the drug and alcohol abuse before she was even 12 years old. I do not condone her actions, but from everything I read, she did teeny deeply, and seemed to thrive in prison. Maybe she just needed regular meals and direction, just some regularity. @@Kyomiibrown That is true… My brother and I are exactly like that. My mother has an Italian ancestry, but she has blue eyes with an olive tone to her skin, but still very white. My father has hazel eyes and is very white - both of my parents have brown hair. My brother inherited a throwback from my mother’s side with extremely dark olive skin, and has brown eyes with very dark hair. I am very pale skin with red undertones to it (British ancestry from dad’s side) and blue eyes with mousy brown hair. We don’t look related whatsoever! Of course there are several things that you can tell we are related when looked at closely, such as height/build/medical ailments, and we even both share a feature where our left eyelid is a little bit droopy lol. My parents are definitely both of our parents. It’s just funny how different children can come out, because DNA is seriously a crapshoot. @@blobber51 It doesn't matter whether he explains or not, I asked because he clearly has no understanding of what Jesus has done for us. Atonement = the action of making amends for wrong or injury. Atonement = Reparation or expiation for sin. Jesus has already done it for us. I cannot do it for myself or others, neither can someone do it for me. John 1:29 - The next day he saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, "Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!" Rom 3:23,24,25 - For there is no distinction: for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God put forward as a propitiation by his blood, to be received by faith. This was to show God's righteousness, because in his divine forbearance he had passed over former sins. What more do you want Jesus to do for us? All we have to do is accept it.
@Prophetess9738
@Prophetess9738 3 года назад
Penance = Punishment inflicted on oneself as an outward expression of repentance for wrong doing. 1 Tim 2:5 - For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus Nobody else can come between me and God, no pastor, no priest. James 5:16 - Therefor confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective. This doesn't mean that I have to confess to a priest but another person who believes in Jesus and to pray for each other. All we are required to do is to confess our sins to God, because only He can forgive us, not pastor, not priest. 1 John 1:9 - If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. May God bless you with understanding.
@supereldinho
@supereldinho 3 года назад
@Sarah M Yes, let's all appreciate the fact that God decided to give birth to himself so he could sacrifice himself to himself in an utterly nonsensical way to forgive mankind for their sins instead of using his benevolence to just, you know, forgive us? And oh yeah, despite having supposedly forgive us, he still saw fit to create a place where non-believers will suffer for eternity for the mere crime of not believing in him -- and all it takes to avert such a fate is to make a quick deathbed conversion and conversion and all is forgiven, even when the wrongdoer has done absolutely nothing to actually atone for their wrongdoings. People like you have absolutely no understanding of the concept of penance or forgiveness, yet you speak with such ignorance and authority borne from it that it's just sickening. So go ahead and be an obedient little minion and just deny everything by acting as if I don't understand anything.

She completely changed and was a model inmate. She always said that if she was executed for her crimes, then it was God's will and plan for her life, and never argued that she didn't deserve the death penalty. Others took up the cause of commuting her sentence. She accepted her fate and made her peace with God. I am not taking sides, just giving the facts as I know them.

I live in Texas and know one of the chaplains who visited Carla Faye Tucker in Gatesville Prison. He said she was tiny, like 5’ 2” and 100 pounds sopping wet. You’d never think she could have been on the business end of a pick ax. He also believed her conversion was genuine. She had indeed been a model prisoner for most of the years she was incarcerated. I think he said she helped other inmates with their school work or something like that. He attended her execution and said that she was completely calm without a shred of fear. One of his lasting impressions of her was that she was vehemently opposed to legalizing drugs, as these were what brought her to the lowest point of her life.

Absolutely agree that Carla Faye had a very rough childhood. That does not in any shape or form excuse the brutality she inflicted tho. People survive so much worse + still don't "get off" on murdering people. She got exactly what she earned + deserved! Great that she found God while in prison but that only benefits her + her Soul. And that's if God does forgive her for her awful sins. What about her victim?! He didn't even have the chance to "make peace" with his life or his God before his life was heinously taken by Carla. No sympathy for her at all. The fact she had people feeling any type of sad for her is DISTURBAN! Every time I see her "story" it makes me mad. Any sympathy should be with the victims + their fams. Not the sick people who murdered. Just because sickos claim to find God does not negate the fact that they're detrimental to society + have committed disgusting crimes. Carla Faye got what she deserved + her not being on this planet anymore is a great thing!!

When you are directed on every task in your life and you are watched 24/7, you have structure and assurance. You can become anyone and believe anything. But the "real world" is completely different. Then once the daughter starts dating him and he murders her kids too all of a sudden he's "unforgivable".

I can't help but be reminded of my mother. Her upbringing wasn't nearly as traumatic, but she started smoking and drinking at a similar age to Karla, and was associating with some shady older men as well. I'm not sure when she started using heroin, but certainly it was before she graduated high school. I wish I knew more about my mom's life, but unfortunately she fatally ODed on heroin, and possibly fentanyl, when I was 12, in 2015. Of course what Karla did was horrible, but I can sympathize with her situation.

What a horrible life, reminds me of Aileen Wuornos. The level of abuse these women received when they where children, I believe pushed them past the boundaries of acceptable life styles. One thing I never understood is why a death sentence takes so long to happen, I understand appeals but in the 20yrs it takes to finally get there, They have changed and are different people. Seems almost wrong at that point.

As a Christian myself. It doesn't matter what she said or did and all the other Christians who cried out for her freedom are nitwits. When she said she was "forgiven" no way. A crime that horrific is something God would have to look away from then send her to where she really belongs once she died, I'm not even a hateful believer, I focus on the basics of love and forgiveness in the Bible but this just makes me so mad.

I couldn't even finish this episode. My humble question is : why this gangs are still an item,don't we know what they are all about, are we all that stupid?. The main thing is that they are ALL are into drugs, dangerous ones, and the authorities know that and they make a point in keeping these people doing that. The main idea is to keep people under control and drugs (specially illegal ones). Who's the best to do that : THE GANGS , and that's why this childish monsters are still around, with their cool motorcycles and their weird black leather outfits.This generations have to figure out how to deal with this pandemic;l if they don't then they will be in real trouble soon enough. Just a thought from and old guy living in Toronto his last years.

Nobody changes because they're virtuous, only the power of Christ changes people to that extent, just so the devil will make you a fellow demon and act through u to do horrible things, that is if you are not with God. She started out unrepentant before knowing God, because clearly no one in her life ever taught her a thing about him. Nobody deserves forgiveness, and it is God's free gift if you truly believe in him after you know him, if that is what she did then God would certainly not reject her

I'm sorry but this is one of many issues I have with Christianity. There are certain horrible things that people are capable of that should NOT just be able to be prayed away. I hate the idea that you could be a child serial rapist/murderer, like the Beast of the Andes in South America who has raped and killed over 200 children, and all it takes is an "I'm sorry please forgive me and let me into heaven". On the other side of that coin is that unbaptized babies don't go to "heaven"? That's some b.s. Being born with original sin is ridiculous. Who in the world thinks it's actually a good idea to punish children forthe sins of their elders??? You should just get judged on howyou live your life, if you get to.

I don't know what was in that woman's heart and I hope she did turn to Jesus. I would think that, after her conversion, she would be willing to accept her punishment, and since she was not afraid, why appeal?
