The fact that ANY of them were released is just heartbreaking & honesty don't care about any "Learning disabilities" cause he obviously had no problem learning how to take a life

*sigh* I'm so tired of hearing about young, smart women with a bright future being murdered, and for literally no reason. That being said, thank you, Disturban, for bringing these cases to light. You always cover the lesser known ones.

The most messed up thing about this. Is that it was her brothers stupidity that got her killed.

Man, how do you even forgive your brothers after that? They all should’ve gotten life or the death penalty. Lisa suffered horribly and her brothers kept their mouths shut. What worse trouble could they face by lying? Did they never think that maybe having their sister taken, violated, and murdered was a possibility?

This is one of the most heartbreaking stories I've ever heard. I can't wrap my head around the depths of depravity of these men, and the callousness with which Lisa's own brothers acted. Had they been honest from the get go, this young woman might have been saved. In fact, had they been upright men, she would have never been in this situation to begin with. The medical profession lost a brilliant doctor before it even got to experience her. What an absolute tragedy. And the fact that some of these sick men are actually roaming the streets today gives me chills.

Poor Lisa had one of the most horrific deaths that I could imagine.

Why are any of them walking free now? They callously took an innocent woman's life in such a heinous way. Buried alive?! And took turns raping her first?!🤦🏽‍♀️😓😪 There are some crimes that are unforgivable, to me this is one such crime. Sure jump the dumbass brothers that robbed you, or even inflict great bodily harm on them, but what they did to someone who was not involved in any way is horrific. The fact that Lisa was the baby, the youngest sibling, and typically older brothers protect a little sister is also heartbreaking. I hope Lisa's brothers got their lives together, at the very least, to honor their sister's memory. I don't think I could forgive them if I was related to them, unless they, at the very least, got out of criminal activities. RIP Lisa💐🌹🕊️

This beautiful girl had a whole "successful" life ahead of her...she wanted to become a doctor to help those ppl in need...Because of the actions of her brothers and being in the wrong place, at the wrong time, this innocent girl had to suffer the consequences of her brothers' wrong doings!! This case just absolutely breaks my heart into a million pieces. Lisa was a beautiful, sweet, incredible woman who did nothing to anybody. First of all, I can’t imagine having even the *ability* to hurt an innocent person like this, let alone go through with it, and to the extremities that they did. How can a human being do that to another human being? Second of all, I am kind of appalled that her own brothers withheld information in the beginning because they were more concerned with saving their own asses. They were her *brothers*. Brothers are supposed to protect their sisters. Family is supposed to protect family. But by the time they got that through their thick skulls it was already too late. Thirdly, I can’t begin to comprehend the sever emotional anguish that her sister has gone through out of this. I imagine there have to be feelings of survivor’s guilt, since she wasn’t home, as well as betrayal, since her brothers were involved in the events that led to her losing her beloved sister. In that way, she lost three siblings, not just one. Cases like these are some of the most devastating to me. When countless innocent women are taken and abused and killed in horrific ways, it makes anyone bitter enough to question the world and God. It’s the same story over and over again, just the names change. The generational trauma from femicides is just. unbelievable.

This is tragic. Lisa died in a horrifying and meaningless way. My thoughts go out to her family, I hope they are doing better.

If a person is not mentally impaired enough to know the difference between right and wrong, then simply having learning disabilities should not give them a get out of the death penalty pass.

I hope the blunt force trauma she went through before being put in the ground meant she wasn't aware. I really do. I wish this hadn't happened at all, but God. Hopefully she was too out of it to know she was buried alive.

I offer my condolences to Lisa Rene's parents and to her sister Pearl. Sigh. They lost someone so dear to them way too soon. Lisa had a bright future ahead of her. The way she was murdered was truly horrendous. My question is why would they...sigh...her murderers were beyond awful and disgusting. I hope her two brothers had been held accountable for this as well. They put their sister in harm's way. They're equally beyond awful as their sister's killers.

Fucking heinous. Lisa's brothers were/are colossal pricks for initially covering up their knowledge and information. They prioritised their freedom over their own sister's life.

Did I misunderstand or did the delay in the brothers explaining who could have taken her, more than likely result in enough time for her to be killed? That's bloody horrid. So much for family ties. (n/m you even said it, they admitted the delay was their fault)

FBI Files did an episode on this case. The craziest part about this was when the police did the first search of the sisters house looking for the suspects one was hiding in the attic. This case was so tragic

Omg, horrible! I'd like to share a similar story that happened to me in 2012. My dad let me use his car for a year or so to get to and from work. My older brother came and asked my dad for the car borrowed one night, saying his was broken down. My dad let my brother use the car. The next evening, a relative heard that my brother used the car to pick up 2 of his friends to go threaten the ex-boyfriend of one of his female friends (whom the ex-bf abused apparently). I was so scared to use the car for months afterwards, thinking that the guy would see the car and come after me. Nothing happened but my brother put me at risk, because that guy could've retaliated against me. Never forgave him for that.

Beyond horrific! I can't imagine they are out walking around but the main monsters paid ,not enough,but they paid what the law said...I can't imagine being that security guard and having to live with not following your own instincts to call the police ..and not doing so...for the rest of my life knowing it could have changed her fate...

How utterly horrifying and so sad. It never ceases to shock me the level of depravity, evil, and cruelty that supposedly 'human' beings are capable of carrying out - particularly on innocent and vulnerable people and animals. Let's pray that karma enables a suitable consequence because the justice system doesn't seem to have the ability to do it.

I can't believe that any of them were released! They all should've gotten life. They all took part in the crime! They snuffed out a young beautiful intelligent woman who would've gone on to do amazing thing's life! I watch a ton of true crime channels & I can admit that I've become desensitized to some crimes but this one made me feel physically sick angry & so so sad for Lisa & the pure hell & terror they put her through. I just can't imagine. People can be so cruel & heartless. And her own brother's are the reason all of this happened in the first place! Then they lie to the police because they cared more about their coward ass selves than their own little sister! I hope this haunts them for the rest of their lives! I think it's important we know what our fellow man is capable of, but it's so hard to stomach sometimes...
