The Holiday Special we never knew we needed!! This Marvel Special Presentation really got us in the Holiday spirit! Can James Gunn make a new Christmas special every year? It was so much fun to join Drax (Dave Bautista) and Mantis (Pom Klementieff) as they kidnap Kevin Bacon to gift to Peter Quill/ Star-Lord (Chris Pratt) in order to save Christmas. We also get Rocket (Bradley Cooper), Groot (Vin Diesel) and Nebula (Karen Gillan) joining in on the shenanigans as well. All in all, a wonderful Christmas special. I wonder what the repercussions of this movie will be on the MCU as a whole?

@@arturocastroverde3349 think they're referring to the part right before the final battle begins in Endgame when both sides are charging each other. All the other Avengers/heroes on foot look like they're running half speed. Mantis is the only one in a full sprint. Go back and watch the scene and pay close attention to Mantis and compare her to all the other characters.

The Guardians were cosplayed during the AvengerCon in the first episode of _Ms. Marvel_ (the con even had a statue of Rocket in the Guardians exhibit next to a depiction of Groot) so they are public knowledge on Earth. But not as well known as the Avengers.

Mantis being Peter’s sister was a known theory right after GOTG vol 2 as ego explained how he mated with other species but neither of his offspring inherited his powers and when showing the different species u can see mantis’ mother among them. So ego only kept mantis as her ability is useful as she’s the only one who can get him to sleep him being a celestial as well as knocking out Thanos for a time

Somehow I've made it to my thirties and still love Christmas. I'm not religious, but I still love it. The songs, movies, decorations, gift giving, and I even love being at a busy mall during this time. Idk maybe I'm weird. I watched this with a giant glass of hot chocolate and I'm super happy. Combining two of my favorite things with the holiday and the MCU wad amazing. 😃

I’m also glad this special left most of Vol. 2’s raunchiness behind. I’m hoping that carries forward into Vol. 3 and isn’t just because that humor doesn’t suit Christmas. After everything they’ve been through, it’s nice to see a more mature Peter in this special, and I hope that continues. This special does a good job of showing you can have goofy fun without the need for raunch.

It was definitely the best Xmas special I've ever seen, remember the Star Wars Xmas special? Yeeesh!!! Christmas is always a dark time for me. My brother was born on the same day as me exactly 3 years apart on December 2nd. He passed away from a stroke in 2017 at 37 years old, in my arms. We were extremely close. I gave him cpr, but there was nothing I could do to save him. Ever since then December has been really tough. It always reminds me that my favorite people are no longer with me anymore, and that's tough and I know a lot of ppl are dealing with the same emotions. But this Christmas special does make you feel good and temporarily lets you forget about the issues in your life and you remember the good times. This was a good special, glad I seen this.

I started smiling from the beginning but didn’t know when I started crying. Even as Indian, I didn’t like Diwali or Holi that much but felt something inside of me whenever Christmas came. I just don’t feel lonely in Christmas even if I stay alone during that time. Every year I watch a movie again and again on Christmas i.e., Home Alone 2. And it’s my dream to attend Christmas in Rockefeller centre at least once in my life.

the actress pom who plays mantis is actually a martial arts/boxer whose majority of films are action based, see her in Mi Dead Reckoning. so her playing a nice Mantis is a switch, I think here they decided to let her do things she is more used to which makes her even funnier

in the first guardians movie you can see yondu decorations his captains dashboard with little knick knacks. in that one peter switched the inblinify stan with a troll doll and yondu keeps it, i thought he was just a little impressed that peter remembered he liked figurines. but it turns out peter gave him his first one and probably almost every christmas after that but i don't have the movie handy to watch so i can't check right now but james gunn is pretty good about continuity, it's probably one we see in live action

@@jessicalukram74 Bucky doesn't always need to be with Sam. Sam's in his movie, and Bucky's part of the _Thunderbolts_ team up movie. I'm sure eventually they'll reunite, but they just had a show together, so it's probably better to see them have separate adventures for now

I assume it was easy to get Kevin Bacon because he's worked with Gunn before on Super. Now that's an underrated film, and it's got a star-studded cast because everybody liked the script so much they worked for scale in order to be in it.
