45:33 but as a seer main who's been playing for three years, the reason why we don't usually use our owls to take the first hit is because the rule is to never use your owl that early in the game. The owl is more important in later game than early game, so most seers will hold onto it a little longer unless they know they're kiting well enough to use it if that makes sense? Like, using it when they've been kiting a decent amount or need it to transition. Same goes for giving it to other survivors. Otherwise using it that early will be a huge waste for everyone including you. Also another thing I've noticed is that hunters are more likely to hit you rather than bait the owl if you're already injured. They may assume you can't time your owl well then PSYCH owl hit.

the reason why bad players are having pretty high tier rn (at least too high compared to what they supposed to have) is because this game has a horrible rank system. i've been playing for 4 years and for some reason especially now i see a lot of people that don't look behind, kite 5 secs every game, have absolutely 0 game sense about anything that's going on around the map, but when i check their profile... i see flipping alicorn 2 or something and it literally makes me die x) this feels so boosted, people are ranking up by losing. because compared to normal fair games where you supposed to lose more if you lose a lot of games, in idv you gain more points when you lose x) plus some mobile players are abusing cross-platform points by going into pc queue. so imagine a very bad player on mobile but they go solo + pc queue for cross platform-points... solo bonus and cross-platform will just boost them up no matter how bad they play. these people as a rule have like 30% wr or less, so meh. it sucks to face it when i actually try my best in game and i have game sense, i know what i'm doing and my wr is usually 45+, and it's like this mostly because winnable games are usually the ones where me or my rank duo kite. every another game is lost because of people being so bad on high tier, only rarely we face some good randoms with good winrate and it feels like a blessing. this is just a sad reality. fun video though, enjoyed watching and guessing the tiers too. i know it's hard to make a vid like that without upsetting anyone though xD
I think gessing ranks in this game feels so random because you can pretty much be at any rank with any skill level, you could play like 15 games, win every single one of them and still be at elk, as well as just tie hundreds of games and get griffin
@@annestarfish It's the little light the surrounds a survivor icon (I dunno the color but it's brightish). It only triggers when 4 survivors are still in the game. With wanted order, whoever is highlighted can been seen by the hunter at all times until the effect goes away
not a pro player but as an ex B badge seer i always save my owl for until im at half health because if i miss i just get downed and i wont waste my owl, so i can use it again later whereas if i miss at full health hunter likely will just wait for it to go away and itll be useless
