I second this suggestion. Omajination has awesome videos but if you want an even deeper dive, check out "A Fox Song"'s "not so extensive Guide to Babymetal" He dives deep into to their origins and their rise to fame.

Love Omajination's video, absolutely hate the not so extensive guide by Frozen so would absolutely not recommend that.

@@Zedem0n The not so extensive guide is accurate and a lot more up to date than any other guide (currently). I imagine you dislike it because it is not in a strictly chronological order and starts with things as they are now then goes back to the beginnings further in, or perhaps it places a different emphasis on certain aspects than you might prefer. There is absolutely no reason to hate the guide, it is accurate, it covers pretty much all the most important stuff and it doesn't include any questionable personal opinions or discriminating insults aimed at parts of the fan base (which an earlier guide had far too much of).

@@Grington300 I simply disagree. I believe it to be a pretty terrible guide overall, extremely biased and it does manage to find a way to be insulting to fans of a certain other member which is under represented in the guide compared to their gigantic contribution to the band itself. It's "best" parts are simply copy-pastes from older guides before it. I would have far less of an issue with that guide if it clearly stated in it's title that it's for BM2.0 era only. Which it kind of is content-wise.

@@Zedem0n Which was what I said about why you dislike it and I do understand even if I don't entirely agree. It is not "extremely biased", there is just less emphasis on what you think is more (most?) important. Yui's contribution was vital and very important, but it was no more "gigantic" than Su's or Moa's and the guide is very fair with giving all three the recognition each of them deserved for those first 7-8 years. It also explains Yui's departure and her reasons and explanation for her decision. There is no glossing over or ignoring what happened. The one comment that you consider an insult doesn't come anywhere near the earlier guide repeatedly calling all male fans creeps and much worse. You are sort of proving his point - Yui's contributions are not dismissed the way that Su's and Moa's seem to be by many of those people whose focus is on one member more than the band as a whole. We are both fans, I don't want to argue with you. I understand why you dislike the longer guide and why you would not recommend it, I hope you can understand my reasoning on it being factual and accurate and why I will continue to recommend it. ​@@Grington300 Yes, I do understand that the guide gives factual and accurate information most of the time. No, I don't think that guide does a good job in assessing the correct weight to the different contribution of each member. Momo at that point was a member for a mere year if you're not counting the Avengers era. Yui was a member for 8 as you mentionned, and is also responsible for many of the band's central symbolisms and mannerisms to this day. Momo's segment is entirely made up of non-BM stuff that is completely irrelevant to the band. I'm not saying Yui should have a segment equal to Su or Moa, which have now been in the band and creating the band's History for 7-8 more years than Yui at this point. But it makes no sense to me to allocate the amount of time (or type of information) in the way that was presented in this documentary. It's not at all representative nor an efficient way to present BABYMETAL in a guide that supposedly goes about it's entire history. I am therefore feeling obliged to go against this recommendation. Whilst the rnegitsune guide does have annoying parts and clearly does have misandry comments here and there, it's atleast making a decent job in terms of allocating the necessary historical information in order to understand the band up until the point it was posted. To be clear, I wouldn't recommend any of these two. While I have my gripes with Cryptic's own rendition, it's atleast giving a much more relevant and comprehensive set of information than Frozen's "guide". I have told Cryptic back years ago when he was writing his guide that his segment about Avengers was way too long and unnecessary when compared to actual members. Time has proven me right and the guide went out of date even quicker as a result. Allocating this amount of time to Momo, discussing about things that have got nothing to do with BM for pretty much that whole time, is a completely inefficient way to go about a guide about BABYMETAL. That's just what it is. And believe me, I love Momo as much as the next BM fan. She's the only member that I can say for certain has directly interacted with me at shows to this day. But I also am a very pragmatic person and there is simply not enough things - especially at that point in time - to talk about when it comes to her contributions to the band when compared to the other members - not just Yui. I could give a brief example demonstrating how absurd it is that I believe this guide has gone about with the intention of creating a guide for BABYMETAL in early 2024. This is akin to someone creating a Linkin Park guide and discussed in far greater length about Emily Armstrong whilst leaving out Chester for most of the documentary - merely citing in passing his untimely death. And then use an entire segment longer than that of Chester for Armstrong in order to explain the things she was doing before joining Linkin Park. It makes absolutely zero sense for Linkin Park, and it makes absolutely zero sense for BABYMETAL all the same.
