If you haven't noticed a new Fender Acoustasonic Jazzmaster just released. Baxter and Jonathan talk about the avalanche of gear reviews that all come out on the same day and why that might not be such a good thing for manufactures.
@@waxman9550 Honestly, there are more differences between the three than just the body shape, and the new Jazzmaster is significantly different than the other two. Maybe we’ll get an Acoustasonic Precision Bass next.
@@markferguson3745 You must mean Trump; the guy who did more for the middle class than any president in modern history before the liberal dream that is Covid? Or maybe I missed something.
Completely tuned out...unsubbed from almost all guitar related RU-vid channels because of this cycle. Just a few left - thank you to you guys for putting out unique, and valuable content
That's funny...let the shilling begin:) Most of the big cats are pretty transparent about it and can be honest for the most part. It's really the smaller channels that have to play ball or they won't receive the new toys in the future...:(
@@CasinoGuitars Yeah, Paul David's video about it was gorgeous, as usual, but he really didn't refrain from being very critical about it. Now something like Anderton's, well... They do have to sell these guitars, which is understandable. It's not like they're hiding that fact.
Jazzmasters exist. Acoustic guitars exist. Now, thanks to Fender you can have a guitar that is both of these things and at the same time neither of these things. Hard pass. 🎸
@@oisinmcphillips2090 And a lot of them aren't and pretend they are giving an objective review, when in fact they are getting paid. Getting paid or not an issue, hiding the fact is and aside from anything is against the law (in most countries) & certainly against the terms of RU-vid service.
Professional artists are given guitars for the same reason. So you see them playing them. Like the sound and buy one. RU-vid is more accessible than pro musicians so yeah we’re getting ad bombed.
@@nevillecragg9066 It was literally just an observation, I fully grasp the concept. And there is a difference between slick advertisement like reviews and personal reviews both can be sponsored but I was just trying to say I notice a lot of the bigger channels just seem more corporate now.
Aesthetically its horrible.. Fender seem to keep throwing class8c designs together in the hope that itll work and most times it just doesnt..Like Tele/Strat hybrids or {insert model here} /strat hybrid.. Personally i think its lazy as hell. I really dont get who would want an acoustasonic..Acoustic players are generally more stuck on the classics than electric players {and thats saying something!!} and would never touch something like this on purely aesthetic grounds.. Electric players who want an acoustic sound can either: A. Buy an acoustic Sim pedal. Or B. Buy an acoustic guitar.. The only people i see using these guitars and raving about how great they are are the people who are being PAID to be seen playing them and saying how great they are at every given opportunity...People will look back in a couple decades from mow and wonder wtf they were thinking.. In the early/mid 80s i worked in a uk guitar shop and remember reps raving about the Fender Katana and the like while we were all thinking.. NOOOOOOO!!!! 😭 I know its hard to move forward in a business thats defined by its past but sometimes im amazed by what awful frankensteins monster guitar is unleashed as the future of such an illustrious company... Leo woyld be rollin man.. 😍
@@b.a.peters5534 Why they didn't just stick a piezo pickup and modeling into a thinline tele - or the thinline strat would be more exciting - I don't understand. Look at the Schecter C-1 E/A. Jeez Fender, just stick coil tapped humbuckers and piezo with modeling into the Eric Johnson Thinline Strat and start winning.

Definitely starting to tune out when I see tons of the same thing all at once. Makes me really appreciate how genuine you keep your channel. Thanks for being awesome!
Every guitar youtube channel at 10AM EST released their acoustasonic video at the same time. It was impossible to not see it as a marketing move. But to answer your question yeah, it soured it for me. Seeing literally 12 all uploaded at the same moment, I didn't watch a single one of them.
Personally, as a content consumer, it’s rough to see. I’d personally never gig with a guitar from the acoustisonic line, but I understand why someone would like them. I also appreciate that a lot of r&d probably went into the design of them, so Fender has a lot invested and want to see a good return. Appealing to massive creators isn’t a new thing, and given the stakes involved for Fender, it makes sense. From the perspective of the content creator, I 100% understand taking the paycheque. Views are down, copyright strikes are rampant, gigs have dried up, and bills stay the same. If I was them, I’d 100% take the cheque and the guitar. It also provides the ability to build a brand relationship with a company that makes other, high quality instruments too. They never have to use the acoustisonic afterwards, and they could even sell it if they wanted to. So no shame on the content creators at all, Im probably just not gonna watch that video.
I agree. I appreciate Fender doing something different. Is it going to appeal to all? Never will, but at least they are moving forward in design and sound.
The people who get them should hang onto them and save them, 'cuz they won't get popular and will become future oddities - but worth having, as a curiosity. Even more so if you can get one finished differently. They are the kind that would be good to keep next to the couch, or in the office, or on a stand in the bathroom, so you can grab it if you get an idea. They would be great if small numbers of 'em were made to supply a niche market, if Fender was gonna make 'em long-term; but I fear that they won't become an overnight sensation, and so Fender will discontinue them. This is too bad, as they will be JUST what some few types of people will find to be just right for them. A few years ago, Budweiser made an ale to try to sell to the US, where people had started accepting the craft beers, and so small breweries came out with all these ales. So Budweiser had their go at it - and when it didn't sell well, they stopped making it - which was too bad; it was OK for an American ale, and kinda tasted sorta "Budweiser." It didn't hit the "Home Run," though, so it disappeared. The acoustic Fender guitar will certainly appeal to the folks that liked the first Acoustasonic but had wanted it to resemble a Strat more than a Telecaster. I remember that Roy Clark got an Ovation acoustic when they first appeared, in the 1960s. He strung it with electric guitar strings, so he could practice on airplane flights - and he liked it(although it was Glen Campbell's endorsement that caused a lot of people to give 'em a try). Later on, the US vocal group America made them popular by all 3 playing them - which was a good advertising image, the 3 of them, all with Ovations, including a 12-string. This is all Music business stuff, like you've said. The noise will pass soon, and the guitar probably will, too. Which is too bad - it would probably be a worthy mate to the Fender acoustic Tele clone; you know, to have a Strat clone available for the folks who'll prefer for their Fender acoustic guitar to resemble a Strat instead of a Tele. Fortune passes everywhere.
I'm really glad you guys mention the secret stick most RU-vidrs don't mention: if they're not nice, the manufacturers stop sending them products and, like them or not, demoing those products means more channel views. That seems to be what a lot of people don't understand when it's all "He was paid!" vs. "He wasn't paid." It's possible for the companies to put a _lot_ of pressure on a RU-vidr to play nice without paying them.
Too bad that I am left handed, I'd give you a Martin a lot cheaper. POS I never play. Back of the "Composite Neck" is so rough that I could use it to file my fingernails.
I think what happens is that the company sending the gear out puts a media embargo on talking about the product, so most youtubers post their video as soon as the embargo is lifted, which is why everyone uploaded it at the same time.
That's exactly it. When the embargo lifts the videos come cause if you aint first you're last...You really can't afford to wait as your video just won't get any traction. Its a strange cycle. Thanks for sharing and best to you!
Same this as say iPhones. Difference is though that with phones, you do get actual critical reviews from many sources. With guitars? Meh, very few and far between. The market just isn’t huge enough.
This is why I'm not subscribed to a lot of the channels so I'm not flooded with the same content. But that's also why I like this channel, cause this is their acoustisonic video.
Thanks a ton and love your handle! Ye, we just couldn't bring ourselves to do it. We figured there were enough out there. Thanks a ton for sharing and for tuning in!
@@CasinoGuitars I would expect you guys to do a vid, more than most that did, being a store that I assume probably sells them. Not that it is expected of you but it would make more sense. I appreciate this video much more.
It’s reached a point where I often prefer the review from the unknown guy/gal in his/her bedroom with an iPhone vs the established YTer. Fluff and Pete Thorn review the same item in the same day within hours of each other?? Hmmmmm...
This week on YT and Insta has felt like the guitar equivalent of everyone waking up to find a U2 album in their iTunes that they didn’t ask for. And I say this as a multiple Fender Strat and tele owner and fan. Calm down, Fender, calm down - viral is supposed to be organic.
@@Scott__CFenders marketing has gone full woketard in the last couple of years in denial that their demographic is blokes of all ages who like SRV, Clapton and Mayer
Yeah I am. I did watch Living Room Gear Demos, because he does honest reviews with lots of sound samples. I actually like the guitar, but it was on EVERY SINGLE CHANNEL.
That's the exact same thought we had so we choose...nope:) It was just too much and the whole thing made us giggle. Thanks a bunch for adding your thoughts here!
I watched Ola's Will It Chug video and that was it. I know what the Acoustasonic series is. It could literally be any shape and would sound exactly the same because of what the pickups and piezo were designed to do.
Right on and that was funny...I had the same experience with a jaguar demo we just did...and we left my fumbling in the edit...why not, a little humor and honesty sure makes me smile in this world of slick content. You kinda nailed in on the piece as well. Thanks for sharing!
It's okay, really is; it's more video content of guitars that we either want to love or want to hate. We'll watch it either way - all good :) and you're still my most watched guitar RU-vid channel.
I have to admit, I’m scheming to pick up an Acoustasonic Jazzmaster. First Fender guitar that has really spoken to me in at least 20 years. I know exactly how I would use it.
It really was the onslaught of PR that got us. When our feed was covered in it we just found the thing silly. We are very lucky in our relationship with fender that we aren’t forced to carry all of their pieces and they really let us choose. Have a super day Duane and best to you and yours.
Bravo! You guys are killing it. Casino Guitars has read my mind with this video. Around 48 hours ago it became obvious that an embargo had been lifted and Fender said, “Release the hounds!” for videos on guitars that had obviously been in the hands of RU-vidrs for weeks. Frankly, it all leaves me with a funny feeling that I have a hard time putting into words. Analogies fail, but it’s a bit like watching a ridiculous squabble between two people you respect. When it’s over, you find yourself respecting each of them a little bit less than you did and you’re not sure why. You wish you hadn’t seen it, but you can’t unsee it. In this way, the once respected guitar RU-vidr and Fender both lose a little. But when you’re trying to be a fulltime guitar RU-vidr and Fender comes knocking how can you say no? And once you’ve said yes, how can you say anything bad? I mean, folks, this is Fender, right? Beating up on Glarry is easy. Nobody needs Glarry. But Fender … umm, yeah. Which is why I loved the Paul Davids video on this guitar. It’s not just that Paul said he wouldn’t buy it, which takes some courage, it’s more the cool, almost indifferent way he approached the product. It’s almost as if he’s thinking, “Yeah, love ya Fender but I don’t need you and I refuse to bow down.”
He's in some vids out there and well see if we can coax him back on camera here and there. Sometimes he's just not in the mood for those bright lights:) Much love and thanks for sharing!
The RU-vid guitar channel, retailer, reviewer, influencer, etc. will eventually eat itself. There’s way too much of the same shit on all of them, and I don’t think it’s sustainable. Not in large numbers anyway.. The guitar buying public is no longer in the dark by how it all works and it becomes tedious to wade through the sea of sameness. The good ones with strong entertaining and trustworthy content ( such as Casino Guitars) will thrive, but others will get left behind. It’s inevitable when saturation occurs, credibility and interest wanes.
That's a good and scary point. Sincere thanks for the kind words and we hope to keep it fresh, real, and helpful along the way. The ad cycle can become a bit insane but the good ones really are keeping it as real as possible. Thanks again for sharing!
Ola Englund lost me as that was the last straw. I mean that was so obvious to any (now ex) fan of Ola as to wtf was going on (was all at once across YT too). So many sell outs on youtube, and tbh I am grateful to Fender for this because they showed me who they were so I could block them.
Excellent topic, and clever approach! I'm tuned out but I don't mind it... I'm impressed that Fender "gets" the new medium, and I'm happy that my fave YT channels are on their radar (and hopefully getting some $). In the 1980s/90s, all the guitar magazines would have a similar "ad splash" for a new product...
@@CasinoGuitars Wow! I OWNED one of those! Circa 1999, black MIM Strat with Roland pickup, and a Roland GR-33. (It was my main guitar for 10+ years, so my mind is blown at this reference.)
Thing is: I've seen like a dozen different Acoustasonic vids from channels I like to follow and I'm still not convinced to buy one. Probably because I'm not the target audience. Feels like Fender could've saved a bunch of money if they just did a livestream and hired like 3 to 4 specialized RU-vidrs, or musicians who do that acoustic/electric thing like a Miyavi or Mary Spender.
I respect reviewers that disclose up front how/if they are being compensated (even w a free guitar) for the review. They have more credibility with me, especially if it's a balanced review.
That was a refreshing take on the topic. The algorithms make it difficult to miss anything one is even mildly interested in so it’s unlikely people who finally watch the 11th video about xy in their feed are going to be impressed.
I really dig how transparent you guys are! I've recently fallen for the idea of getting a Natural finish, Acoustasonic Jazzmaster, with blonde streaks on the neck. I think I need it. I havent felt this way about a guitar in awhile and I'm usually a hard sell. I certainly cant afford it lmao
Seems like the "algorithm" could be more friendly and have a point where it says "hey, we've bothered this guy enough. Let him watch his cheerleader fails in peace".
I love your videos. For you two. I saw a video where RU-vid reviewers were talking about having to “reveal what they receive free”...or something. They were talking about their “power” and using it for good not evil. We don’t care if u are paid or not. It is entertainment....that’s it. That is more than enough. The one fellow, maybe the one who does the deepest dives into gear etc, yet wears the most brand crashing outfits etc, was particularly humorous. People who sell things for a profit are marvellous. People who entertain us are better. People who think they are what they are not are no help at all. Casino Guitars RU-vid channel? Priceless! 😉👍🏻
I generally tune them out. I do like having a variety of different views of a guitar I'm interested in, but when I see something everywhere when I'm not specifically looking for it, I tend ignore it. It'd be nice if the top guitar channels covered brands that don't get the respect they deserve like Godin etc.
I frequently watch your videos but have not subscribed. However, after watching this video today, I was compelled to subscribe. Your comments on video channels that not so subtly render favorable reviews on guitars for something in return are right on point. As in all things, buyer beware. Thanks for the reference to Tapeface. I am about to check him out.

To me it’s simply another method of selling which is important. However, I feel that the presenters or commentators (you guys) are more important. I enjoy your videos and feels like I’m in a guitar chat room shooting the breeze, just add coffee and donuts or beer and nachos! Thank you...Frank
What pisses me off about it is the way that they all drop on the same day and if you're not interested there's no other content for you. I much prefer reviews from people who buy the gear and live with it a bit, particularly when some stuff sounds great at first but gradually proves to have flaws - you don't get that insight when the reviewer is sent something to review and then return. Even though some RU-vidrs make clear that they won't give good reviews for free gear if it's crappy, I feel like they must know that negative reviews will mean less free stuff which means less content that they can produce.
Thats a great point and well said! Unfortunately the cycle of RU-vid doesn't allow for a patient well thought out review of new gear if you want the clicks...it's a speed game for those who play it. Thank you for sharing this sincerely!
I think they would do better by choosing more wisely whom they send them to. Quality over quantity. The Anderton Demo was certainly helpful and good. They actually showed some things that the instrument can do. Many of those videos, and I mean tons were just so rushed, and like this is the best Acoustasonic ever. Those are the videos that just kill the vibe.
So glad you touched on this. The first 8 recommended videos for me were acoustasonic jazzmaster “reviews.” If you guys want ambiguity and honest reviews, checkout Phil McKnight’s channel - Know Your Gear
Yeah, most of these should just say "Paid Demonstration" rather than review. A review will really put it through its paces for more than the 10 minute demo.
@@suereed Yeah, I feel like he's the gold standard of just flat out letting you know what's up when he gets something free or discounted etc. Everyone should follow what he does. Can it really be that difficult?
The day of release I had NINE videos in my youtube subscriptions for the acoustasonic jazzmaster, I was thumbing through instagram whilst watching this video and Bam! Another post about that bloody guitar. I love Fender. I have 8 telecasters, That's how much I love Fender but they sure know how to put me off a new product. And yet virtually nothing on the Noventa telecaster that I was actually interested in buying.
Those guitars are still in the introduction stage in the product life cycle. That means that there are a lot of funds allocated to inform the target market and convince it that the product will serve a need for them. Most of it is by promotion.
Remember the Stratacoustic. What a bust. I bought in and couldn't get the damn thing to set up right. Gave the thing away. Hi Baxter & John...You guys ROCK!
As Utube marketing. .. That is why you guys are one of my favorites, I appreciate your candor. Reagarding guitar supplies as a lefty it has always been an issue we only get certain models and colors. I have been through about 150 guitars or so. From agile to Yamaha and back. Not really into the latest and greatest. But I have reached a precipice at 63 yrs old. I sold most of my gear. My biggest regret was selling my 61 SG reissue I bought new. Ah even the smell gave me chills. Buy I was weary the take it of the case for fear of scratching it. Now I just have a Gibson sg faded, a guild solid wood acoustic and just acquired a fender dark night strat. Boss katana II for an amp. May be done. Gas is real. Btw tape man is great. Thanks for the rant. Will be buying a shirt soon.
They call it the “Deluge” it’s been happening for at least 2-3 years now, every channel gets a product and a launch date and everyone pumps out their video and pollutes your subscription feed. 😂 I never watch them when there’s that many vids, unless it’s something I’m hugely interested in, then I’ll pick my favorite of the 50+ vids 😂
Yep I flicked to the end of Paul Davids should you buy it and yep the answer is basically no. This amount of spam is a negative for Fender rather than a positive. Will never watch another Acousticsonic Jazzmaster video ever!
I think most people know gear demos are advertising. People are influenced by others, it’s what we do. Great video guys, now I want to buy a fedora to look like NYC Baxter
I have noticed this on other products as well. Definitely tuned out this one because it doesn’t fill a need for me. I quickly tune them all out after one or two reviews.
I’m a massive fender fanboy. I watched Paul David’s review. It’s a cool guitar but if I spend that much money I’m calling Baxter to nail down and order the Strat of my dreams.
I'm hyped for the next Fender incarnation-the AcoustasonicMrCoffee-it brews your favorite cup as you play, with a variable Dark Roast/Morning Joe/Decaf selector knob.
I just finished a proper hybrid. I did a cheeser demo video of ole #22 but I think the pickups are lacking so I'm upgrading to three Seymore Duncan P-rails cradled in Triple Shots. Thats means 72 different sound with that six way rotary selector. When a company can build better sounding guitars than me they will get the nod. I would rather purchase a proper sounding axe than have to do it myself. I could spend the time rocking out instead of snorting walnut dust like Al Pachino in an 80s gangster flick. Great show fellas.
I've opted out of all major guitar channels about three years ago, when it became unbearable to see guys without strong ethics advertise, mostly without disclosure. They are the obedient salespeople of the 21st century the companies have waited for. I get totally turned off by aggressive marketing, that's why I haven't bought any Fender guitars in three years. But there are definitely too many 15yo with too much money, who buy every advertised product and get influenced very easily - but even a lot of older ones seem to be very easily led nowadays and lack any critical thinking. I work as a social scientist and data actually shows exactly that - that teenagers in western countries have the most money and opportunities in history, but lack maturity and responsibility more than ever before (at least since the first surveys about 30-40 years ago). And companies are well aware of that, they use data and psychology of the masses, and that's why companies spend more money on advertisement than on quality control. As soon as I see guitars or products pop up on YT-channels, I'm not interested in these anymore at all. I hardly ever write any comments, it doesn't make any difference (aside from helping the video to become more relevant regarding the YT-algorithm...) and no-one reads it.
I read it! The internet was fun for a decade or two. But there's a lot of money out there sloshing around and various corp/gov entities have fully adapted. Geniuses with Phd's in psychology and statistics have worked hard to discover exactly how to take advantage of human nature and the resulting algorithms never sleep. And corp/gov entities have figured out how to fake grassroots trends online and then said hey we can do this in meatspace as well. It seems to have reached a sort of saturation point where people realize it's time to just turn it off. Everything is now "leveraged" for the purpose of something else. You can't trust product reviews on sales websites anymore (maybe some 1 star reviews...) you can't trust music or film awards let alone reviews. You can't try to filter based on low production value even ....how many cheap low production fake grassroots channels can you create? infinite for all intents and purposes. Maybe there's still some merit to seeing which apparent grassroots channels have ongoing efforts to marginalize them, as those would likely be the ones with the least money behind them, but then again there could be 2 monied interests duking it out for all I know. So you end up going by word of mouth from people whose content you analyze and evaluate skeptically for yourself - as all systems of reputation/trust-building are leveraged as well. The entire universe of product review turns into sort of a disembodied corrupt 3rd world country that exists on the internet with unseen neo-feudal relationships in a giant criss-crossed web. Cheerful thought eh.
Thank you for not demoing every latest product...I appreciate not having watch the same content on every channel and it also lends to your credibility as professionals. In my opinion, there are way too many people pushing the latest equipment and newer guitarists are getting caught up in the machine but, not practicing the way they should; because, they are always hunting for the next gadget that will make them sound better. I have experienced this talking with new players; they seem to be more concerned about having the newest pedals than practicing.🙄
The last two social media blitz's that came recently were Eastman Guitars and before that the Positive Grid Spark amp. I have a Spark on my desk for a noodle amp and computer speaker, so this kind of marketing works.
Interesting I'd forgotten the Eastman deluge, they must have stopped making them as the retailers only seen to have old stock that no one wants. They did a good job of convincing people to spend £2000 on a Chinese guitar instead of spending £3000 on a USA guitar.
The huge issue today is that there is hardly anybody representing the consumer anymore. Almost all of media and journalism is paid for through advertising. People have always come up with both good and bad ideas, but the game today is more than ever to kick as much junk-inventions as possible out the door before consumers discover the truth.
You're right- and the guitar channels on RU-vid have become a cabal and an elitist click that only support one another and a few select. I still watch 5 Watt World and Ask Zac, but 5 Watt caters to other channels exclusively and I absolutely despise and loathe Jeff Mcerlain so much I have unsubscribed to 5Watt as Mcerlain and Phillip McKnight make me cringe. I totally support Brad the Guitologist on EVERYTHING cause he's real and sincere. I like the English guy Dave Edmondson but that's just my 2 cents lol. Cheers
As long as I’ve been a guitarist, since the 80s, industry marketing to me is entertainment. Guitar magazine ads, now it’s RU-vidrs. I don’t see it as a negative, it’s a sign of a healthy industry. If you don’t like it just quit watching the videos and don’t buy any magazine. I’m not offended by it at all.
I understand that companies have been making commercials since they've existed and youtube and other social media is naturally going to be utilized as well. However, I think there's a big difference between seeing an ad in a print magazine, where it's obvious that you are looking at an advertisement, and coming to youtube and being bombarded with an ad disguised as a video coming from seemingly all the big guitar channels at once. Time will tell if this is a winning strategy for the companies but it definitely leaves a sour taste in my mouth. I haven't watched a single video about these guitars and I'll probably keep it that way. I did enjoy you talking about the other people making the ads though, for what it's worth :-)
why would he keep it? He's already got every high end acoustic/electric that anyone would ever need or probably want. There is also that side of honesty.
I ended up watching maybe 5 videos on the FenderSonicAcoustoJazzer before finally finding out that there was no way to blend an acoustic and electric voice on the guitar, so I wouldn't want one anyway. Apparently you can on the Tele and Strat models, but that took me several videos to find out as well. I'll stick with my old Yamaha AEX500 for now thanks..one humbucker, one piezo, one blend control, nice !
I am definitely tuning out for acoustisonic and especially this new release. Just not in the need of one but they do look cool. I could see you guys doing a review. But then just like regular RU-vid channels that are not stores. It’s too much.
They are cool pieces! Just a bit numb from the onslaught here. We hope they find their audience as well and bring some joy and make a little noise along the way:) Thanks for sharing Robbie!
How is it that most U tubers claim they are "working with" a manufacturer. Do they have any design input! No they just advertise for money and push up the price to the public. All the while pretending they're doing it because they care so much about their subscribers _yeah like fuck!
After watching you guys I went to videos about the new Acoustasonic Jazzmaster. There were so very many, way too many, that I just had to check out "Will it Chug?" first. If in doubt...
Yup it's obvious what's happening but also well done for speaking about it. Sadly some channels that had useful music content in the past have recently turned into gear demo platorms now. I think that's short-sighted. Specifically about this latest Fender offering, for $2k, you could get a nice Jazzmaster (Pro or Ultra are similar money) or a nice acoustic. I'm not averse to paying for decent guitars (I have a couple of American Fender and Gibson electrics) but have no interest in these acoustasonics. But that's me, subjective and anecdotal. I do notice, however, that noone seems to be playing any of the acoustansonics apart from in sponsored videos. Keep up the good work guys. I enjoy your chats, and tangential rambles. Don't be afraid to play guitars once in a while though guys....
Acoustasonics aren’t sure whether they’re acoustic or electric guitars.Rather like individuals who aren’t sure whether they’re guitar salesman or RU-vid divas!
Guitar companies and youtubers have been doing this for years. The endless sale pitches pissed me off so much that I stopped watching their channels entirely.
