If he didn't bash Gibson in every f****** video maybe there wouldn't be a problem. You could say that there is great gear out there without bashing one company. Glenn's got a hard-on for Gibson he hates him. And honestly his opinions are totally f****** biased when it comes to Gibson. He's never given them a fair shot or a fair review at all

@TwoBassed agreed. I own a couple of Gibsons I got good deals on, but with currently pricing, I wouldn't touch a new one. I'm on the lookout for more reasonable prices in a comparable quantity level. In fact, I think better quality for less might actually be attainable.

I hate RU-vids algoritm with a passion ! There's no fairness or good reason to let an AI decide over human taste. I bet AI wouldn't even understand a joke. If youtube creators could find a way to form some sort of union. Because; I agree, youtube executives that run the discipline are pretty vague when it comes to applying the rules. GradeAUnderA's video on censoring wraps it up nicely. This $h1t (hopefully they censor it) is going too far. For one, the tiniest shit gets censored, while others can get away with posting whatever they want. edit: I see what went wrong! At 6:10 you said "fuck". There's your problem!

I have this guitar. It's awesome, however I had issues over time with the pickups and pickup switch. I swapped them out with EMG 57/66 TW pickups and this guitar is perfect (for me at least.). I highly recommend it in your in the market for a solid 6 string

There are a lot of good cheap guitars. Kramer, used Strats & Teles, Aliexpress copies, Firefly, Wolf. Gibsons can be amazing, but they aren’t necessary for a great sound. A great set of pickups can turn the worse guitar into a screamer

Too many people sleep on Schecter. I bought a Devil Elite in the mid 2000’s for less than 500 dollars US, it has been an excellent guitar.

Great video once again, Glenn! Your work caters to the rock/metal audience, and I think many people could find your videos extremely useful. Would love to see your channel hit that 1 Million subs mark, because you and your team deserve it! Have you considered really pushing out the (lame and attention destroying) short form format? One of my favourite Devs, PirateSoftware, managed to bring lots of viewership in by releasing a sea of his clips. Like you, he has really great advice that he articulates in an easy to understand way. Not only that, but you have some funny bits that would really work great for it! Take Care!!

I don’t know why I don’t own a Schecter . I’ve held literally thousands of guitars bully guitars rarely felt right in my hands but every Schecter I’ve tried felt amazing. Well constructed ,finely finished and very easy to play. I guess i need to put one on my wishlist for Christmas.

I can’t recommend a Schecter enough. Especially their older models. Many were neck through, string through (which I prefer), looked beautiful, and played even better. They kind of embraced the evil/metal thing a little too much for me now, but they still have some genuinely gorgeous guitars. They just play and feel quality. You owe it to yourself to get one.

When everything's demonetized, what options are left? Side note, the 6505 combo you recommended roughly a year ago has gone up in price quite significantly. With that in mind, is there another cheap equivalent? Should I get a 5150 Iconic combo, or should I stick with plugins on my laptop?

I don't think so. They are Duncan Design Active HB-105 pickups and I think they are OEM only. I have a Schecter Demon 6 too (the older Crimson Red flame one) and I liked those pickups (but still changed them out).

Glen, are you ever concerned that the guitars that are sent to youtubers for review are not of the same build standard, setup and (i hope not) Hardware as what is generally sent out? I bought Schecter Demon-6 Crimson Burst new for around 450$ and applied several mods down the line: * Replaced stock frets with steel jumbos (around 130$ total expenses) - this was not a critical requirement stock frets actually almost didn't rock, but I just love the smoothness of bends against steel frets. Also they will last forever. * Replaced stock tuners with GraphTech Gear Ratio locking ones for 120$ - this is a single best quality of life upgrade. * Replaced stock pickups with Seymour Duncan Jeff Loomis Blackouts for 250$ - I can talk about these for hours, just watch the vids online, they seriously melt faces (took some filing for plastic housing for bridge to fit). * Replaced Stock nut with the same drop-in replacement GraphTech Black TUSQ "PT-6642-00" 12$ - stock nut was cut way too deeply for my taste. Grand total 962$ and guitar is 10 times better, than any stock instrument offered in this price range! Very robust and stable. I own this instrument for around 5 years already and there's not even a single small crack on the finish.

I LOVE my LTD EC401VF, sounds and plays better than a gibson LP I have. Will never sell. Musicians friend stupid deal of the day buy. 😮🤘

I don't know why I dismissed Schecter as a good brand for so long! I recently joined a 80s hair metal cover band and was specifically looking for a suitable and flashy super strat shredder with a Floyd Rose. I kept an open mind and ended up choosing a Schecter Sun Valley Super Shredder over an Ibanez Genesis RG550 and Charvel Pro-Mod So-Cal. The Schecter had a better setup, better access to highest frets, active EMG pickups for the harmonics needed with mandatory whammy bar trickery AND was less money than the Ibanez & Charvel! Schecter has a new fan boy in me!

Schecter surprises me because I picked up a C-1 SLS Elite (admittedly a $1300 guitar so well beyond the price point illustrated here) and it shocked me with the level of quality. Plus the quality of the CASE was equivalent. Won't be my last Schecter but I can't put the thing down. Tonally versatile, plays well. No fret buzz.

I love the suit you wear for court. As I said before... Schecter is one of my main guitars besides Lynch ESP, Charvel and Jackson although Jackson's quality has slipped from the good ole days, but maybe improving. No contest your honor. 😁

I'm curious how the electronics are holding up on the cheaper guitars. I love my Squiers but two of the three I have have developed some switch issues. It's nothing extreme and it's nothing a little switch jiggling doesn't fix. Squier is, of course, Fender's budget brand. But my Harley Benton SC DLX Gotoh and Yamaha Pacifica have no electronics issues. I'm curious how well Schecter's electronics hold up after about a year.
