Literally one of my favourite songs largely due to this scene. Easily my top 5 shots of the series. This might be my favourite of the original 13 DBZ films because of the choreography of the fighting and that iconic scene.

Agreed! He one of the most bad ass characters. One of his attacks is called "Hell Grenade". I hate when the anime makes bad ass characters like Piccolo, Vegeta, and Beerus end up weak in comparison to DB Super Goku. DB Super Goku is an idiot.
Here's a little reason why Cooler underestimated Goku a lot. He can't sense ki. He literally has to judge Goku's power by seeing it, instead of sensing it.
This recap was excellent 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 To this day, I still wish Cooler had a saga after the Namek saga, instead of going into the androids. Cooler had so much potential.
this series of Coolers Revenge was sooo well done. sooo ahead of its time, that it was perfectly done without questioning and the way you can watch this in HD 4k is insane, maan the team was really ahead of their time and thats why they are still one of the all time best creators then it comes to DBZ, i truly wish they had kept the same team that did such amazing job in this movie arc and the other few to work on DBS my gosh

That gut punch by Cooler to Goku after he's gone Super Saiyan also uses the impact frame to illustrate how Cooler's punches lost the ability to render the background pitch black upon impact. One frame alone perfectly conveys how the tables turned. It's iconic.
Cooler’s revenge is my favorite db movie and I’ve watched it countless times. I’ve never noticed coolers hand after he blocks Goku’s ki blast. Thanks for showing that. Such a cool detail.
