When tying an up and over rig, ive always tied the hook onto the snood first, then set the up and over clip in place after. Ive never been much good working out to give an exact length snood, so find it works for me

Good evening young man ,I love watching ur videos and very educational and helps me. Im a ex army veteran who enjoys fishing very much thats sea fishing. I use sonik sks black 13ft. And sonik vader xs 13ft with fixed spool reels. And every time I watch your videos I try your methods of rig building. I've started using spectra braid 60 lb. My gear is cheap and cheerful. Due to me being disabled. But I love ziplex rods so trying to save for a second hand one. Tight lines Mo

Great to see the new vid. As you say Rod& Pollocks as mad as a bucket of crabs, great guys, appeared in a couple of their vids "Subby B" when the large Pollock PB's where caught, get yersel out with them you'll have a belta day l did.
Tried the hangover clip last night for the first time in anger, which was not a great success partly due to the adverse weather but also the two inexperienced fishing companions I had also leant the rigs to, even I who fully understood the workings and had made the rigs myself had trouble. At first sight the clip looks great very neat and discreet, unfortunatly I consider it to be too small with not enough area to grip the line. I will be forced to go back to using cut down Relay Clips without the leg that recieves the rubber tube using an SRT spring, bead and silicone tube adjustable stop
Years ago I was given a load of Trident Tackle parts by my local Tackle Shop to try and on my return I was asked my opinion I replied “Game Changing” I placed an order for the lot and gave away all my old kit
Hi wretched your videos and I like how you explain things to learn newbies starting the sport. I've made many rigs of watching your videos with the Gemini components, then seen the videos of rigs made with trident tackle which is awesome, when making the pulley rig could you put the line just through the centre hole on the aero pulley and put the hangover to the top of the rig and make the pulley dropper rig? Just a thought if it would work, would be good to see a video of the idea if you could please. Keep up the fab videos and good luck and tight lines m8.
Hi Paul, nice video, thanks...my first lot of Trident products will arrive in Peru probably next week, so I will follow exactly your instructions for my first rigs (I sure it will evolve for my fishing style with the time), so I've already ordered a blue mono (haha, just like how it looks) the crimping pliers (the same you recommend on the link), but need to know what size and material are the crimps you have used on the video, it could sound like a silly question but we never used that kind of tools here..so, pls let me know. Thanks!
Hi Paul. Sorry if this off topic. I am coming back to beach fishing after a very long hiatus. Finding your channel very helpful but have found myself chasing the white rabbit in trying to choose a rod. Totally confused now. I will be fishing largely clean beeches but want a rod that can handle more rough stuff if required. Needs to be able to cast a good distance ( not world record or pendulum). Budget around £120-220. Been looking at Yuki Saiko A7, Blackrock SS10 and Akios Hellrazer. I know there are many other options and would appreciate some guidance. Also it appears that many rods are out of stock - looks like the antidote to lockdown has been fishing.
Hi paul, love the channel.I'm new to sea fishing and there doesn't seem To be many videos on how to read the weather forecasts for good fishing? I use the more seaweed app and When I look at the forecast I'm no further forward on when is the best tide etc and how to use the forecast to your advantage? Would be great to see a video from someone like yourself explaining how to use forecast details to maximise your fishing.and how to know when the waves are going to be pretty big on the piers etc so you don't venture into trouble,as I nearly did the other day (oops!) Luckily we saw the swell starting to gain height and headed back just in time, so a bit of advice on using the forecasts to know when big swells are due.i know this is a big ask but I feel for beginners like myself learning how to understand the forecasts would be a great addition. Many thanks if this comes to fruition, and keep up the great content!
Use tides 4 fishing you will have wind at start telling you direction depending on where abouts you fish here on North East cost of Scotland se or sse winds are best to churn sea up also on website it tells you swell and time between waves usually 2 metre plus swells with wind running same way it could be dangerous if you've got a local pier you'd like to fish check on website when there's storm of its too rough for you you can now have stats for unfishable weather always check before going out and write down times wind swell then if u catch you have a record of what might fish in simaliar conditions
Watch all your videos and love them, I know you love your 70 lb blue marlin but what size crimps are you using on it as I've bought some hangovers which are brilliant just need to know crimp size thanks keep the videos coming
Absolutely love your videos 👍👍 the Portuguese are absolutely fascinated with the Trident system they fish very light tackle but I’ve converted a few. The local tackle shop owner being one of them. Keep the videos coming 👍👍p.s how can I get one of your bait holders please ?
Sir.........can you tie a knot directly to the roto clip.....or dose it have to be a metal to metal connection for the roto clip to work correctly....?
