Do you really have fanatical admiration for this band? Or, do you think you _should_ have a fanatical admiration for this band? This band seems to attract a lot of credibility whores who often signal how much they really LOVE this band. Quite frankly, the Pixies both bore me and annoy me. If Cobain hadn't have shouted from the rooftops "I love the Pixies!", would anyone outside of a few devotees really care for their average song writing?
There have been subsequent fan videos that tried really hard, but this will always be the GOAT. I’ve watched it more times than I can count, and I’m a pretty good counter.
It's funny you should say that because my intention was the exact opposite. To me, this song is ethereal and it makes you feel like you're in heaven, there is no morbid subtext in my words, but thanks for the concern anyway, I guess..haha
I know what ya mean,I have always said that Slayer is the soundtrack in Hell, the Pixies are the soundtrack in Heaven(if either state of consciousness exists).
+Michael Roberts, It was good of you to follow up and care. It's comforting to see a good person reaching out to offer empathy to someone you don't know, who might have been struggling. +Larissa Pierry, I agree, the music is ethereal. It conveys perfectly the hypnotic, otherworldly quality of the Happening, n'est-ce pas?
+Larissa Pierry Wherever they play Pixies is far better than heaven. They play it once again. They play it all night long. Don't you know that heaven is a place where nothing ever happens? ;)
notnowliberty That seems to be a pretty common ranking of _Bossanova_, but it's like having a very valuable gem that isn't quite as shiny as the others might be.
They got a ranch they call Number Fifty-One They got a ranch they call Number Fifty-One You can't see it at all 'Less your flying by Just sitting there square Baking in the sun Beneath the sky, sky, sky, sky They're gonna put it down Right on the strip They're gonna put it down On the Vegas strip They're gonna put it down And step outside Into the lights Right outta that ship Saying hi, hi, hi, hi I was driving doing nothing on the shores of Great Salt Lake When they put it on the air, I put it in the hammer lane I soon forgot myself and I forgot about the brake I forgot about all laws and I forgot about the rain They were talking on the 9 and all across the Amy band Across the road they were turning around and headed south with me It got so crowded on the road I started driving in the sand My head was feeling scared but my heart was feeling free The desert turned to mud, it seems that everybody heard Everybody was remembering to forget they had the chills Then I heard the voices on a broadcast from up on the bird They were getting interviewed by some good man whose name was Bill I'm almost there to Vegas where they're puttin' on a show They've come so far, I've lived this long at least I must just go and say hello
Thanks. There are a few clips of UFOs superimposed over the Vegas Clips, but perhaps they're a bit obscured by the strip lights. If I ever do an undate, i'll keep your suggestions in mind.
In 1990 I was driving to my mother's base to get my father, both USAF R&D during Vietnam(Operation Popeye) and landed at a top-secret Grumman base in Calverton NY, I put this in the cassette deck and when this song came on my mom asked if I knew what it meant, I said yeah sure, not having a clue, she said it was called hanger 18 first, then Area 51 was built around it, she said that was what the ranch 51 was...and told me what they did there..for years I thought it was a joke...then I joined the USAF and was like ..mom what else do you know about lol she said ask youre father...in 96 during the crash of Flt 800...I knew I was in the middle of a lot of SAP.
Mostly public domain videos, one of them being a tire advertisement. Tried using clips from the original Gone in 60 Seconds for the car clips (1974), but that version was removed due to a copyright claim.
j'aime bien le côté film année 50 , mais les images d'ovnis de ces dernières année non. il aurait été plus judicieux d'y mettre des extraits de films de ces années comme le jour ou la terre s'arrêta par exemple.
