I hate when people make comments saying things like that "nobody ever told you your hair was nappy"!! They don't know what someone has told you & have no idea what other people have been through. I've gotten comments before telling me that "because my hair isn't 4c, it doesn't get tangled so I have it easy."

I saw that comment you mentioned and I was appalled! Totally not fair for someone to try to invalidate your experiences without knowing you. People need to stop being keyboard bullies and use the brains that they were given. I appreciate you speaking out about it because you're right about everything you said. I know that sometimes attention doesn't equal good things... one of my videos hit 300,000 years ago and 5k subbies because of my sexual abuse story and that shit came with TONS of rude ass comments about me and my life situations, as if it's my fault that I was molested as a child for 5 years. Since then, no one has paid my channel much attention unless I spoke about negative things, but now that I am speaking about LOTS of positive things, I'm losing subscribers. Welp, it is what it is... when I figure out to rebrand, hopefully it'll all be worth it!

wow, I am SO glad I ran across you today from one of your natural hair shorts! I was curious to see your channel after noticing that I've never seen your face on the platform ( I'm that ytber/viewer that goes to the channel and watches more to get to know the personality side of the creator - if they choose to show it - just to see if I'd like to sub you know?) Iv'e got to say that after only one full video of you speaking on this I subscribed. I can say I'm not subbing solely for the content as I know now that you’re transitioning out of those niches, but rather for you as a person and whatever content you decide to bring to us as viewers🤍 I definitely feel that I'm getting a taste of what it feels like to have some older videos go viral. My curly hair videos got the most hype when I started posting them years ago and now my hair is LOC'D so that chapter of my life is over for now. I know I still get subscribers from those videos and my only hope is that they saw something else in me and subscribed for more than just hair content, but only time will tell lol... Similar to a PC build video that I did, it made a splash but the people that visited my channel from that video may have been confused as I've only made two videos regarding tech in a sea of beauty and lifestyle content. I make content for myself first, so if I'm not personally into something I won't post a video about it... (and I have a lot of interests😅) I decided to click this video to hear what you had to say about the topic but MAN the piece about the comment you received from another black woman really resonated, unfortunately. People will always have something negative to say. It's truly sad to see that invalidation, especially coming from a member of our community when it comes to our own unique journeys! One of the top comments in one of my old videos that went viral like a year after I posted was talking about how bad my eyebrows were☠ I was a kid in HS like chiiilllll😩😭😭 I really hope more creators like you and I are recognized more so for the value of our character rather than just the value of what you choose to review or aesthetics or whatever!
