I’ve taken both AP Chem and U.S. History and they were really easy, it all comes down to the teacher you have. You can have an easy class but it can be difficult bc of the teacher, or a hard class which is easy bc of the teacher.
Even if you have an excellent faculty, it depends on whether you are studying or not. We had Analog circuits course which is hard for many students. The teacher was great but if students had no interest, what to do?
ClF3 is T-Shaped and PCl3 is Trigonal Pyramidal (there’s 2 answers I guess). BF3 is a hypovalent example where 3 valence electrons can only have 3 bonds and it’s an exception to the octet rule (it’s still planar).
@@twosistersandmochi Do your homework. It’s one of those classes you need to practice for and is really difficult to cram for. Don’t listen to anybody telling you it’s easy they’re just trying to look cool. I know people who majored in and have careers in chem and even they thought it was hard.
@@someguy4046Bro I took gen chem 1 & 2 through duo credit, ap chem is a literal joke compared to lecture & lab at a uni. I was able to tutor my friends that took ap chem, & tutored for my senior year. I took them during my junior year & scored a 58/70 in chem 1, & 62/70 in chem 2. Ap chem is extremely easy tbh.
If you want to succeed in physics I recommend getting a book on the fundamentals before taking AP. It’s also really awesome to have a good background with calculus. Practice application problems as well, since most of physics is formulas and word problems
I agree. Although a good portion of the content I’ve done in AP Physics C (both) is algebra based, a lot of the work deals with piecing together several equations and concepts. That’s a skill you need for calculus minus the magnitude of conceptual information.
hi. i’m a sophomore in honors precalc rn and i’m taking ap physics c next yr with ap calculus bc. do u recommend i do a basic physics book over the summer to prep for physics c? i heard physics 1 is algebra based and physics c is calculus based. i’m rly scared bc i’ve never taken any physics classes at all.
@@yours1ana I definitely recommend getting yourself familiarized with the concepts beforehand. Knowing your way around the equations and how they interrelate is crucial for the FRQs and a few of the multiple choice questions on the exam. I’d also recommend throughout the year looking on AP classroom for video lessons as supplemental material. Depending on the teacher, you may or may not learn enough for the AP test. Edit: You could also look on college board for past FRQ questions to get an idea of what they’ll be testing for.
@@yours1ana it’s okay you will be fine as long as you have a strong work ethic academically. I recommend, if you have what it takes that is, to look over videos on basic physics and to get a book that covers a good amount of the fundamentals. Then after you grasp those needed skills, you will be ready for physics C. I understand if it’s too much, and if you feel that way try to learn as much physics while learning Physics C covered by a book. Once you start Physics C Junior year, you’ll develop physics wise, as long as you have what it takes :). Your teacher will make you grow as well, don’t worry! You can always ask for help during school and office hours. Hope this helps
I'm not majoring in English, I'm going into Engineering actually, but Lit is literally one of the easiest AP classes I've taken, prolly just the teacher but still There really isn't that much work, and all that's asked is that you analyze texts, and if you've taken AP classes already, being able to adapt to that and learn what to look for is already programmed into you Well, I think so anyways
Answer to the chem question was (e) PCl3 I took chem 111 in college when I was 16. This class was hard as shit and I barely got a 90. Once I spent 40 hours in one week just solving stupid problems like this.
AP US History is so hard because you have to read SOOOO much and remember every little detail of everything, at least I have a W teacher though, they also give you endless extra credit usually
It's to prepare students for harder classes in college. People don't magically become smarter when they go to college, but classes in college do become exponentially more difficult than high school ones.
Physics was so brutal 😭 it didn’t help that I didn’t take AP Calc and had to literally self study everything else. Chemistry was quite easy and I ended up getting a 4 on the exam.
I took ap chem and ap physics and loved both. Good teacher makes a world of difference. Ap physics is honestly just a ton of plugging numbers into formulas. You have a reference booklet with all the dozens of formulas so you dont need to remember them
I got screwed over by my APUSH test because that was the year Covid happened and we went online, but they decided "screw the multiple choice section, lets only give them the writing portion." I failed that test
I can confirm that AP Chem is hard. You can get good grades if you push for it though. Apush was easy for me. We just played Kahoots. Test was difficult, but I still got a 4.
ap chem was kinda easy because i found it fun and nostalgic thinking back on the class except our teacher forced us to do a gas laws chapter even though it was only 1 question on the exam. i failed that gas laws unit i had never failed a test in my life before that but luckily i still got a 5 on the exam even though i skipped 5 of the mcqs cuz i ran out of time
Ngl but it depends on your teacher. Like I used to hate history but I felt very easy to learn when I have a good teacher. But my favorites subject being chemistry, the opposite happens.
The hardest AP exam is keeping track of the Physics exam names. It was something like A, B, and C when I was in high school. Two years later when my sister was hitting the courses, it was AP Physics 1 and 2, and the exams were very different. Now, I think it's even changed again. Surely at some point, they have to settle on something...
The way I describe APUSH as being harder than World is the content the test can cover. World is 550 years for the entire world, you only have to understand patterns and general swaths of information because the test doesn’t have time to ask you about more and you don’t really have time to learn about more. APUSH is a shorter time span than WHAP and it mainly focuses on one country, so the level of detail you have to understand is way higher, which can make it more difficult. Having a good teacher can make both courses a lot easier though
It really depends on your skill and interests tbh. For example, I’ve always been good at writing and reading and I love poetry, so AP Lit may not be that hard for me
Ok I took Apush and it was seriously one of my favorite classes I have ever taken. Pretty easy too tbh, just a bit more work. AP lit is probably harder
Because people who choose it generally have a good grasp on the subject. That’s why passing scores don’t correlate to difficulty popular example: BC Calc a lot more people score a 5 than those taking AB Calc, even though BC is objectively harder.
I feel like Chemistry and US History are the top 2 with Physics C's both right behind them. I had a harder time catching those two compared to Physics.

AP US History if anybody is considering it read the textbook do extra stuff outside of school and as long as you put a lot of effort in you'll be fine I've gotten solid bs in AP US History but be ready to read 1,000 pages of a textbook

I’m taking AP physics C mechanics next year. Upperclassmen told me that it’s easy because the teacher is chill and a good teacher. But for AP chem, all upperclassmen are warning me not to take it. They said that the teacher is no mercy and fails everyone without hesitation and how no one has an A. Like one upperclassmen has a 99% in AP bio. But he had a B in AP chem.
