Earl is the only blacklist who never underestimates us and truly consider us a rival and gives his maximum.

It's really interesting to see how everybody is having issues with Earl. I played the game thrice and never had any issues with him besides the last corner in the sprint race.

I was little when I raced him. Played this game a lot with nothing much to do. My young mind somehow found the perfect strat to beat him without even knowing the proper concept of rubberbanding. I would always keep him ahead of me for the entire race till the last stretch which is when I would overtake him to win. Otherwise he just blasts past you.

My guy takes 90 degree corners at 4 billion miles per hour without breaking a sweat

Just raced him on a new playthrough and the only reason I won was one of the corners near the end has a statue on the cut and he tried overtaking me there and I shoved him into the statue 😂 the exact same one he hit on your win

As far as I remember, Earl and Darius we're the guys that gave me problems during their respective races. Earl's rubberbanding is definitely ridiculous, and Darius' rubberbanding AI is fucking dreadful. The problem about beating Darius tho that he always takes shortcuts and takes the lead even if you're using an OP car. These 2 guys we're definitely defined as *HELL DIFFICULTY RACERS*

I just did the second race with Earl today and I pulled a 17 second lead on him which gradually fell away even though I was driving like a racing God. He still didn't overtake me though Also: Use rubber banding to your advantage in speedtrap races! Don't rush to first place, fall back a lot so the AI are much slower ahead and then rush to first towards the end

I don't know how many people are stuck with Earl, but I beat him easily with tuned Vic's Supra. There wasn't any issues and I had like over 5 seconds time difference when I finished the race. Only thing that was kinda tough was the first race. I didn't notice that he had only few points lower score than me, but I still won for some reason.

On my first play through I had no issue of beating him - easy as it goes. On the third one he crashed two speed traps away from finish and I was like "bruh, gg easy". Until he got 244 F@#KING MPH ON THEM! It took me two tries more to beat the FIRST race god dman it! And on the second one he literally pressed "ON" button - blocking him does nothing. I was like lvl 1 cop vs top tier upgraded car. Jesus. That's one way to make a psychological trauma. It was like 10-13 years ago or so but I still remember it like it was yesterday.

Baron's Porsche helped me tremendously.

With baron's cayman s it's easy I played with manual + used tune options in pause menu. I think hardest boss is Webster but Razor have a lot of race he's easiest boss but this makes it boring. Razor is driving BMW like Mustang

Developer M3 with junkman parts and a spoiler with aerodynamics set to max/+5 is also a good way to rubberband the rubberbanding

I think other bosses/opponents will rubberband only when u use original cars

I agree. I remember the time when I didn't know how to change the handling and my car had too much handling enabled and mad me crash a lot more. And that final corner really caught my nerve so many times. But I am glad I did win it in the end.

I used -5 handling -5 ride height +5 aerodynamics +5 steering to be able to beat him

One night i tried 4continous hours to win that sprint race but i was so scared and felt pressure that everytime i was a head of earl i bump my car to some obstacle and lose

I think i cheesed dis boi every race against him. I specifically remember getting him stuck on the set of stairs that stick out and another time in the pursuit breaker 😂

Bro as far as I remember, I didn't have any probs beating em'. The most difficult (and also annoying) boss for me is Ronnie (Blacklist no.3).

I just beat him in one run, but I cannot count how many times I had to block him from passing me, the rearview mirror was very useful in defeating this mad boss. It was also a tight win, being just 0.47 seconds ahead of him at the finish line

The only two I had issues with were Ming and Baron. Earl was always one try for me

I don’t remember which boss it was but around 2005-2006 I kept losing to a boss in this game and I got so mad that I ejected the game out of my ps2 in rage and nearly destroyed the disc. I was only 12 years old at the time but it’s the only game that ever got me that angry lol. Eventually I ended up beating the game

Bro they should add this mechanism on all blacklist boss. Because it makes winning so satisfying.

I'm gonna be honest, I never really had trouble racing with Earl. Honestly I was more amazed on how an Evo 8 can manage to keep up with a fi ely tuned Cayman S of Baron. Maybe you guys call that rubberbanding, but for me it was just a fun curiosity thing. Sure, I'll admit that I had a big time having trouble racing with him. Not against him, but against my invaluable skill. Shiii the CaymanS kept slipping and sliding on the corners but other than that, most struggle I got was against my own skill of driving. I has so hyped to get Earl's Lancer because It can keep up with a Cayman S even on the straight lines even if I was having trouble with the consistent sliding. I was hyped because I thought that I finally managed to find a Blacklist Car that was worth the customizations I've added on the Cayman S. And oh boy when I got it, I was dead wrong. It was just almost on the Same level as the RX8. But I still managed to use it for Milestones on which the AWD helped me a lot against my invaluable skill. Shit I was even surprised I was sliding and slipping on an AWD car like Wtf. At that point, I finally realized the Rubberbanding you guys are talking about, and on how I realized he was that challenging.

Earl is the toughest one and whoever gets his lancer is heaven One of the best handling and sudden acceleration car in game

Earl was a pretty easy boss. The speedtrap race was nice and so was the sprint race but for whatever reason, whenever you reach the prison and the Burger King in Camden Beach, Earl thinks it's the end of the world and gets a 1000MPH speed boost and increased handling.

I have no issues from blacklist no.15 to no.1. Why? Every Cars that I purchase it, I put all ultimate performances for my cars. Currently, I'm using BMW M5 '18 Competition start from blacklist no.15 to no.4. Now I'm aganist with no.3. Fully maximum performances (Ultimate). Full speed 378km/h.

Earl was never hard for me to beat... but getting his car... that took me some several restarts.

I beat him first try with my Punto. Maybe it was luck, but for most bosses in this game I only needed one attempt. The tough challenges for me were the milestones with the aggressive police involved.

I beat him on first try using Baron's Cayman S. I don't remember exactly how i did it, but i do remember using the speedbreaker and nitrous a lot

I actually wanted a mod that makes every single racer drive at full pace, when they're behind you, they're fast, when they're ahead of you, they're also as fast, BUT i wonder if that system is even possible without the "Catch-Up/Rubberbanding", i saw that done in Carbon Battle Royale, where the AI drove much much better than originally without rubberbanding I'm just wondering if this can be true

So i was lucky are unlucky to not get a single boss car until blacklist number 4 and due to that i had alot of money to spare whole fighting earl and i bough his same car and sold my only car to ein against him

I think I only had issues with earl because my setup has understeer so I put steering to +5 and I'm beat he easily

I never had issues with earl personally and beat him with Izzy’s RX8. I think the hardest racer in this game is by far JV

I know im late but in my first account i had to restart 3 times to beat him, on the second i restarted 1 time you know what i did on the third? I gave him hell, i restart the race everytime i win, had so much anger on that dude

On the gamecube version, took me like 7 tries with Baron's car tuned 🤦‍♂️ "Hello, My Name is Earl". Thanks for roasting his ass with that F1 car. Never had any trouble with Earl. I think, sonny is the worst as he is just faster and you can't make any mistakes as you dont have NOs

personally Joe was the issue for me but i could never beat number 4 i could beat 1 and 2 easily but 4 was always the most difficult 4>8>6>9 in terms of difficulty for me
