This polonaise's main theme has always felt more military-like to me. I know there's already a polonaise with that name but this one always reminds me of some epic large military all walking in rows! So cool!!

Chopin was really sensitive to stuff, basically anything could make him feel different emotions. I kind of find this polonaise more about an adventurous voyage rather than an angry piece

Hi Traum . Have to say this is not one l've heard . Chopin was certainly in a commanding and dominating mood when he wrote this and it's obvious you've transcribed this with your usual skill. I'm certain that were Chopin to hear your passion he would undoubtedly approve ! I've said before Chopin is your favourite and this reinforces my opinion . As always , thankyou !

These is no real "objectively" hardest piece. So it's probably hardest for Traum.

I guess not. This "tragic explosion" polonaise has A LOT of difficult sections, including long chords and jumps. Besides that, it is the longest polonaise.

Nice to see this polonaise on this channel! Ps. you made a "reading mistake" after the mazurka section at 7:56...the right hand doesn't play on the bass clef. Maybe you read this polonaise on another edition, but I read it on Henle, Paderewski and Ekier and it's on the treble clef. Keep playing!🔥

I am not learning to play piano so I actually prefer this clean look, as if I am enjoying the performance at a concert hall. But of course each sub has their preference. One must also realize how time consuming it is to include the visualizer. We should just appreciate Traum's hard work for each upload instead of demanding how each piece should be formated.

In this polonaise, Chopin throws you right into the center of a boiling battle. The poor soldiers, ready to give life for their fatherland think of home, of their wives and children. But the fight must come first.

I played this piece even though it was way beyond my capacity because I really liked it. fell in love with the piece the first time I heard the octave opening (it was a recording by Kissin) this piece led me to discover other amazing polonaises but I could get my teeth into even starting to learn the Heroique big shame, but hopefully in the future...

The main part of it gives me the feel of a clocktower (not able to explain how but it somehow gives me that picture) Not going to lie, Traum raised my passion and interest in chopin music by a lot. This one is actually better than Heroic polonaise and is kindof underrated.
