Hi KG, What a mess! It was so bad at times it actually made me start laughing at the situation. The traffic backed up on the other side was unbelievable. Thanks for the scary trip.🌨❄👋
If used correctly on-spot would be nice to have in this situation. Turn them on before you come to a stop so you have the chains under the tires. Nice video as always, stay safe out there in the cold :)
That was one crazy traffic jam, I'd be frustrated if i was caught on one. I wonder how much money Norway loses during winter season, I think they should immensely invest on making their roads better.
In North this weather is quite normal but there is not soo many cars and also drivers have more skills. We are helping each other on this roads. 4x2 truck causes traffic
norwegian truck drivers : 1. drinking too much coffee and energy drinks (aswell as the majority of population which an outsider would not expect from such a "natural and wild" country that everybody is claiming it to be one of the healthies population on the globe) 2. driving too fast in many situations in the winter time 3. nervous and shaking hands (mostly again I guess from the coffee and energy drinks, point 2 including the same logic) 4. introverted and hardly able and willing to take a moment of pause from their own robot-set like behavior and understand there are situations where is not possible to do everything by the book
Up north people drive quite fast in the winter sometimes, but we have winter from october/november - may so cant blame people for knowing how to deal with winter road conditins. We do also put studded winter tires unlike the people in the south where they drive on all-season or summer tires all year, not to mention that they forget how to both walk and drive
