Thanks so much marijuana literally causes cancer, brain tumors, seizures. And it can shut the brain down and cause strokes. I think i have bronchitis from my roommate smoking next to me outside too. Now i was told i have lung cancer from one smell of marijuana next to me. Its literally a gateway drug and causes everyone i know addicted to it. Ive seen people bug out on marijuana and cause them to be lazy. I really hope they keep locking people in cages for it too for their own personal choices. Hope you have a good day !
I'm doing that right now, humanity's stupidity disdains from boundaries indeed. Dude gets 6 months for rape and another dude in MY COUNTRY got life for carrying 125 rolled blunts.
Alcohol is socially accepted because adults can have 1 to 2 drinks and stop. I know in your little stoner brain you think everyone who drinks gets totally hammered which is just your own projection because you cant smoke weed without getting totally baked every time.
@@bighawk16 All weed would do is cause those that are already genetically predisposed to those conditions to accelerate their progression through them. It does not cause any mental disorders on its own.

I'm all for legalization, I'm a user myself. But we should be sensible; never drive while high, don't smoke in public places where it might bother other people and keep your edibles in a safe place, out of the reach of children. In general, treat weed like you would treat alcohol or tobacco, even if it's not as dangerous.
memehead that is the most ignorant thing i have ever heard. people function all the time while high. i’m not saying it’s for everyone but it helps me personally get through long days whilst working and going to school. people drunk cannot function as a normal human being one bit.
As a stoner who loves his weed, it's good to see a video showing the harms. Too many people believe it's good for u and does no harm but that just not true. It's all about moderation
Kristian Nygård I dove whole high a few times unless you’re a veteran I wouldn’t try it. Not saying I condone it or you should do it. Just saying I have. And unless you can control yourself you’ll be alright. It’s way different than drunk driving WHICH I WOULD NEVER DO
The problem with weed for me was that it became a focus of my life. Everday I needed to get high then I would get high and do nothing to advance my position in life. It does not have to be deadly to be detrimental to the long term potential of your life.
Without even watching the video (on purpose...) - use of any substance that is capable of altering the way your brain functions in a drastic way is like playing with fire. Sure, in many cases you can get away with it, and sometimes even it can help you, but you are still playing with fire... so, whatever you claim don't be an idiot and write something that effectively amounts to "it's all good, and if someone tells you it's not, it's because ".
Right, well, joking or not - in 2018 it's better to clarify on serious issues like that, because people who read this sort of stuff are likely to miss humor/sarcasm (thanks to the trolling...) Also, I have seen people talking about all sorts of drugs like they were candies and casually exchanging ideas about what's the best way to mix them to get the best effect - after a while people involved in such "discussions" are likely to lose the perspective on what make sense and not, and then it's often too late.
This is true, but that particular troll was clearly doing it to be funny (why else would the would be lethal dose need a shipping pallet and a forklift to get it off the ground). If it helps, exchanges like this one can help to clear up the confusion; especially if rational, well informed people are the to help with those clarifications. Unfortunately, we can't actually stop people from getting stoned. However, we can help to keep people informed on the medical facts about the drugs in question.
What I’m hearing is, weed is cool and actual,y a pretty good drug. Just don’t overuse it, don’t use it while pregnant, don’t drive while high and don’t smoke in public juuuust to be safe. Great!
Instead of alcoholic dads beating their wives and kids we will have stoner dads sitting eating pizza with their kids. Instead of drunk people fighting we would have stoners smoking a joint together. And ofcourse instead of ambulances rushing back and forth we will have skip the dishes cars rushing back and forth.
Greaser he’ll ya and it opens up new markets in the economy. since we’re possibly going into another recession soon legalization would be a great idea rn.
"Dude the whole earth would fix everything if everybody just smoked a joint all at the same time, dude just think about it"....Man, after smoking 15 years and watching my 34 year old friends talk like that, like 14 year old potheads....I finally quit weed for good at 29. Its proven to shrink gray matter in the brain. It doesn't make you smarter. It depletes your dopamine, dulls your prefrontal cortex under MRI imaging...But oh man, pot is a GREAT tool to make you believe your own lies and make you think you are smart. Ever notice stoners always make up some reason they smoke, "oh my shoulder hurts once a week so I smoke", "Oh if I dont smoke I get really bad anxiety"....They never just say, "I like getting high"... if you get anxiety, and the only thing that helps you "unwind" and relax is weed, then you are addicted. Its the same thing alcoholics go through...they get anxious and need a drink to unwind.

theres always going to be those types, in my opinion i think the best way to look at it is look at the good and the bad. it has benefits and is a lot safer than alcohol, but also has its cons like impairment of motor functions which is why driving while high isnt really a good idea. i for one am all for the federal de illegalization of it. as long as we think about it logically and not its all good or all bad kind of view.
Just don’t smoke everyday, if it were a good thing to do, you would’ve been born high. Also it becomes so boring once it’s a habit, it’s a whole lot better on occasion because you can notice the effects better.

The causality with pot as a gateway drug is a function of it being illegal, not of it being pot. To get pot in most places, you have to deal with a drug dealer (at some level) and that brings you into contact with people who can get you "harder" drugs. Nobody at my local 7-11 has offered to tell me where I could get heroin or PCP when I bought beer, if pot were legal, the same principle would apply. Conversely, I would be unsurprised to discover that someone who has the connections to get marijuana illegaqlly has connections to people who can get other illegal drugs.
Paul Peterson That all stops with legalization. And I've never known a pot dealer to shuffle anything stronger than Molly. There are hard core dealers that also have pot, but most pot smokers would rather go without than deal with a guy like that.
Legalization is my point. My pot smoking days were 40 years ago, so I'm not totally up to date; however, if you know someone who can get illegal pot, chances are that he knows someone, or knows-someone-who-knows-someone, who can get other things. The main point is that illegal drugs are gateways to illegal drugs. Legal substances are not. An exception would be highly addictive substances like prescription opioids, which will lead people to seek out illegal dealers when they can no longer get it from their doctor-pusher.
Such a good point. I never really thought about it that way, but it's true that the sweet person who fetches me weed, has also ended up fetching themselves heroin and crack cocaine for the past year. Quite a jump from weed to that; and we're in the middle of nowhere, rural, in a country of only 5m people. Yet, if i walk outside and find a weed dealer - i'll probably be just 1 person or-so away from the hardest drugs in the country. And it wasn't even the intention of myself or whoever i hypothetically spoke with.
Paul Peterson Yep, you're right. Prohibition of ANYTHING only leads to a bigger blac market. I want to move to Portugal, where all drugs were decriminalized in 2001. Their law enforcement went from 90% to ten percent. THEIR crime rate went down by 90 percent as well. Fewer people are using, there's less violence, and they only had 6 drug related deaths in 2017. Amsterdam has had the same policy with great success as well. And now all Latin American countries are drafting legislation to do the same. They ALL recognize that US drug policy only makes societal problems worse. Canada has just instituted opioid vending, using biometrics to ensure the right person gets the right medicine each day. They also have medically supervised facilities for those still using street drugs.
Paul Peterson Except that mj leads to other drugs does NOT show up in the evidence. Reefer Madness has long been debunked. Step into the 21st century instead of perpetuating conservative propaganda.
So all the negative people that believe its harmful will watch this to prove their delusional opinions but they watch it and realise they're fucking idiots
I had a real moment this morning where I couldn't stop thinking about how much I hated everything, couldn't get any rest. I got a tiny bit of bud in my pipe, smoked it and laid down. Everything was gone, the restlessness, the hatred, the bile, gone. My eyesight is terrible, I'm a bit socially awkward when I smoke but overall I still walk to work and back each day and am on my feet all day. I've smoked for about 15 years now and I'm grateful it helped me to phase out my excessive drinking. There are many reasons I shouldn't smoke but it has helped tremendously for me to ease my mind. I don't know what I would have done without it. It's not for everyone but it's sure a lot better than legal drinking.
@celestialenchantments 432 the long run? so I'm guessing you're experienced in long term pot use? I've been smoking pot for decades.. and it NEVER "does nothing for me". so I fail to see where you base that statement. unless you've only smoked ditch weed... i dunno ur situation..
CelestialEnchantments 432 some of us have things like chronic pain, etc that dont just "go away" if you work on them. Sometimes things like physical therapy can even make the pain worse. Its good to be able to relax and focus on one thing at a time once in a while. Hot tub and ibuprofen doesnt always cut it mate.
Hold up now. I do agree with CelestialEnchantments 432 in that if someone is doing pretty much anything only to avoid a deeper emotional or mental pain then that isn't healthy - but it is very human. And if you are going to avoid deep-rooted pain or try to mitigate the daily darkness and stupid slights of life, marijuana is one of the best choices for doing this because of the negligible harm and numerous physical and psychological benefits from daily use. But Wabbajack Wabbajack is also spot on in regards to the practical benefits that many can find from smoking a bowl or otherwise imbibing a bit of the blessed herb - the scope of the problems that people have who marijuana can provide benefit too is astounding! Drew Ciccotelli - Don't ever feel shame for smoking pot, dude! Those of us who have been blessed to have this in our lives are the lucky ones. My dad was a drunk and an angry one at that and I would be one too if it wasn't for marijuana. If I get to choose between my addictions I'll take the one that helps give me a peaceful easy feeling and the munchies over stumbling rage and a blinding hangover every single time. I hope you can find some true peace in this life, brother.

I found when I was smoking pot every day I was becoming delusional and more disconnected from society. My anxiety was through the roof and going without meant depression and anxiety. I also found it difficult to tell when I was dreaming and when I wasn’t but since I’ve cut back to weekend use only I’ve been a lot better. Moderation
Do u find being less anxious now bro cos I suffer from it bad even when I’m not stoned I think it’s from the weed and when I’m stoned its even worse how long do u think it’ll take to go bro
Both of you are mentally addicted. I’ve smoked for 49 years now, & have seen about 3 people that were mentally addicted. Just stop smoking so damn much (which is stupid because you’re not getting high every time). Smoke in the morning, get high, then don’t smoke anymore till the evening. You’ll discover you get more high & save money by not wasting your stash.
There comes a time when you realize weed is a total waste of time and money. I found the exact same thing with alcohol only that's far more harmful to one's health.
I did a lot of research before I smoked weed for the first time. I don’t do it often, maybe once every two or three weeks. Listening to music when you’re high is a blast. Just never drive while high
I drive when I'm mildly high, it's not that difficult, just avoid confusing roads. I'm a naturally cautious driver and weed kind of enhances that caution, so that counteracts the slowed reaction time. Plus, statistics around traffic accidents indicate that weed doesn't seem to be a factor in crashes after accounting for other factors. But not everyone should drive high, if you're not a cautious driver you probably should avoid it, unless you have an "empty road and a full tank".
Curran Frank i once was driving with 4 friends from Rotterdam (Netherlands) to my home city in Belgium. They passed me the strongest weed, that was such a crazy ride but we almost died like 3 times.
What bothers me is the hypocritical stand that we know smoking cigarettes is deadly and the leading cause of lung cancer but yet it's legal and pot which is never been shown to cause any diseases and is therapeutical is illegal.
I agree. Unfortunately, it all comes down to money. The government and lobbyists receive way, way too much money from the cigarette industry. Similarly with alcohol.
Not exactly you see banning cigarettes would make people get it illegally making the cigarettes worse than the certified brands we have weed is banned because it is actually bad for you especially if you do it to much
Smoking pot helped convince myself to not off myself on a bad night. Felt too good to die 👌🏻🔥💨 lit. (Edit) I feel like people who have mental issues are more likely to use marijuana. Rec or medical. So overall it’s just sad people trying to be happy. 👍🏻

people with any sort of mental health issues should never use psychotropic drugs without very careful and deliberate use. It's much more likely for individuals in those situations to become dependent on said drug for a 'feeling' they get rather than trying to get to the root of their problem. It's not dissimilar to putting tape over a hole in the wall and painting it. Sure, the hole is covered for the time being and most people wont notice, but the hole is still there
@@ritzyllama very valid point, at that point it’s up to the mental fortitude of the individual to be able to heal themselves, patch the hole internally and not become dependent on the beautiful herb. I use it still 2years later happily and it’s helped me in my journey of finding acceptance of self. I can agree with the tape over the hole analogy, unfortunately some people misuse the herb that way.
@@blckjack6954 There's no comparison between cannabis and opioids. An adult should be able to grow cannabis for personal use without fear of any retribution from the government.
For the increased risk of accident were the people activly stoned when in the crash or were they urine tested and had smoked within a month? That could be a pretty big oversight. While DUI is foolish and dangerous, charging sober people with DUI is extraordinarily and unnecessarily damaging. How long after smoking is it safe to drive? Does having a tolerance to pot alter the risk of accident? So many questions. More research is needed!
Paul Keith honestly for irregular users I'd say wait about 4 hours before driving. As I smoke every day and I have an unusually high tolerance, I can't wait 30 minutes to an hour and be completely fine to safely drive. I've never crashed or gotten close to crashing sober or high. People who are already bad drivers have actually said it calms them down enough to focus on the road and drive more carefully because they think more about crashing or getting pulled over. I've never tried to drive drunk nor do I intend to but I can easily differentiate the feeling of each and can 100% say it is safer to drive high than it is to drive drunk. Everyone I've met says the same thing
Smoking anything is bad. If healthiness itself could be manifested into something smokable, it still wouldn’t be healthy. However I still support marijuana. I myself use it for spiritual/recreational purposes.
Dr Donald Tashkin has the cannabis smoke research... he identified with the cannabinoids in the smoke as being the therapeutic compounds that are healthy... check out his work
i want to embrace weed but it bothers me that everyone i have known around me that has smoked it (not even heavily) has become a little more apathetic and disconnected. while they are still healthy, intelligent and functional it seems that weed alters something in people's personalities that makes them a little less aware of others and not appreciate the subtleties in life, yet they don't realise it themselves. over and over people who smoke weed show the same tendencies, it is not a prejudice but simply a practical observation. i wonder why weed has this effect? I would love to use it for its health benifits but i am worried about the psychological long term effect. i would be more inclined to use other natural substances like mushrooms that have no lasting negative effects.
Could you be in a chicken and the egg observation? Many, many start smoking to cope. Their intentions could have reduced suicidal stress. One will never know. We need studies, but these should have been done decades ago. My thoughts are that we know that through generations of weed smokers, that it’s probably a lot safer than most recreational okay drugs like sugar, nicotine, alcohol. Less regulation and understanding risk/benefit ratio when choosing to use something.
Im in TN and my father smokes weed. Weed makes you not so intelligent as you were, in my opinion. My father was a good doctor.. And he smoked weed, got into a drivinh accident while high coming from work and broke both his legs. My Father smokes weed and Drinks alcohol at the same exact time but also then just smokes weed. From what i've seen, smoking weed makes you think you have the freedom to do anything , like drink as well. Thats what he thinks. And thats what i see from everyone around me. The think they are "the shit" so they smoke weed and drink alcohol not for a medical purpose either. I think legalization may be a bad thing, because its even more of a reason for the abusers to get ahold of it. To sell it to the people who could not in fact get it themselves. From a personal experience legalization of weed can in fact be a bad thing
Lets talk about the harms of cigs, alcohol, prescription drugs, not to mention our nations widely spread and growing nutrition problem with a lot of people surviving off junk food. cannabis is less harmful than all of what i mentioned.
Also the food we eat with all the additives and preservatives. What about other drugs like cocaine, heroin, meth, crack, PCP, etc..... but your scared of a plants that doesn't do much except you falling asleep and your wife/husband and kids getting mad cause you ate all the food. Well on the other hand you can go smoke crack, heroin, or meth. Now everyone getting mad cause you sold all their shit for a 20 piece. Lmfao
It is important to recognize that there has been a lot more research done on the harms of tobacco, alcohol, and prescription drugs. Marijuana is still being studied and there are a lot of things we don't understand yet. The research that has been published is worrisome, especially for the youth. The American Journal of Psychiatry published a paper on October 3, 2018 titled, “A Population-based Analysis of the Relationship Between Substance Use and Adolescent Cognitive Development.” This study followed 3,826 seventh grade students and followed them for four years. They performed various assessments over the four years and the results were significant for cannabis having a long-term impact on adolescent memory. There were some additional effects seen in cannabis use that was not detected in alcohol use. These were, “lagged (neurotoxic) effects on inhibitory control and working memory and concurrent effects on delayed memory recall and perceptual reasoning.” The conclusion of this study goes on to say, “lasting effects of adolescent cannabis use can be observed on important cognitive functions and appear to be more pronounced than those observed for alcohol.” While many people have found a benefit from using marijuana for medical reasons, they are also putting themselves at risk for long-term effects as seen in this study. This is especially troublesome for youth that have developing brains. This could impact their memory capacity in the future and make school and work more difficult. Before it is legalized, people need to understand the risks they are taking every time they smoke. For those who use it for medical reasons like epilepsy, the FDA just approved it’s first CBD oil. The FDA requires at least three phases of testing before a drug is approved to ensure it’s safety. The use of the CBD oil that is approved for the FDA will be more safe to use that CBD oil you find other places. When pot or CBD is purchased from smoke shops the full ingredients and strength are unknown. There is not a consistent system for dosing because there are so many different plants and the labeling is subjective. The FDA’s product will not have that problem because it is regulated. Until further research is done, it would be unwise to legalize marijuana because there are already harmful effects being observed. We know smoking tobacco can lead to increased risk of lung cancer and other problems, and smoking companies are legally obligated to list those risks on the packaging. Marijuana or CBD oil should be further investigated so those risks can be listed and known for all users. It would be unethical for the government to legalize something that we know so little about. This plays into the ethical principle of autonomy- meaning that someone should be able to make their own decisions, but to truly have autonomy you need knowledge. At this point, I think the society as a whole needs more knowledge so we can make an educated decision on whether cannabis should be legalized. ajp.psychiatryonline.org/doi/10.1176/appi.ajp.2018.18020202 www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation-now/2018/06/26/fda-approves-first-cbd-oil-derived-marijuana-treat-epilepsy/733567002/
I agree that it has not been studied enough, but i would like to point out a fact that stoners around the world have made very clear. No one, I repeat, NO ONE, has died from use of cannabis. Call it anecdotal if you want but you can watch a cigarette smoker and a pot smoker in a 30 year span and its more than likely that the cannabis hasn't done nearly as much damage as the cigarettes, or alcohol, or prescription drugs, or any other man made drug. You say we know so little about it but what more do we need to know to insure that its safe? It helps people mentally and physically, and hasn't caused ANY deaths. With all the research we have done on our man made/altered drugs, knowing the great damage it causes you'd think we know enough to tell the difference between a good drug and a bad drug. Good drug being a plant naturally occurring, bad drug being created by mankind, addictive, chemicals, etc... also man made drugs almost ALWAYS are for the money. This argument is very touchy for a lot of people but if you look at it logically it makes sense that cannabis should be legal for anybody that is mature enough. Just like alcohol, tobacco, etc.
What would you consider a death from cannabis? According to the CDC, when under the influence of cannabis, an individual has slower reflexes, impaired decision making, and reaction time. Driving and operating under the influence of marijuana poses a threat to the driver and all people on the road. I recognize that there are some people that might be more impacted than others, but statistics indicate that driving under the influence of marijuana is dangerous and causes more fatal crashes. Colorado is a great example of this. It legalized marijuana in 2014 and the number of fatal crashes under the influence of marijuana has nearly doubled. There are a number of statistics for 2014, 2015 and 2016 and I will only share one but you can read the article for yourself. It says, “In 2016, of the 115 drivers in fatal wrecks who tested positive for marijuana use, 71 were found to have Delta-9 tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC, the psychoactive ingredient in marijuana, in their blood, indicating use within hours, according to state data. Of those, 63 percent were over 5 nanograms per milliliter, the state’s limit for driving.” Based on these statistics, it is wrong to say that no deaths have been caused by marijuana because the changes that take place in your brain while under the influence of marijuana can impact your daily activities and decisions. These statistics are showing a trend that driving under the influence of marijuana can be dangerous. Some occurred deaths even occurred when they were within the legal limit for blood marijuana in Colorado. The Colorado Department of Transportation is worried at the increase in marijuana-related crashes. Saying there have been no deaths caused by cannabis is wrong. The people who have lost loved ones because of marijuana-related crashes would agree with me. Driving under the influence of marijuana is not the only way people are harmed by marijuana. When cannabis is ingested, it takes time to get the full effect of the drug. This has lead to a number of poisonings that have resulted in ER visits. I can attach multiple news articles of high school students, teachers, or toddlers that have been poisoned by marijuana and had to go to the ER. It is also important to consider when people mix drugs. There can be lethal combinations when marijuana is combined with other drugs. You can do further research on your own, but there are people that have been harmed and killed from the influence of marijuana. The CDC has also warned that smoking marijuana can cause similar damage as smoking cigarettes because, “smoke from marijuana contains many of the same toxins, irritants, and carcinogens as tobacco smoke.” Smoking alone will cause inflammation of the lungs, and over a lifetime that irritation can cause damage alone. If it is also smoked with toxins that are found in cigarettes, you can assume we will start seeing future lung cancer cases because it is the exposure to carcinogens that causes it. I consider death from cannabis as one would consider death from alcohol or even tobacco, surely you can drink and drive (which btw is regulated not to mention illegal) and of course this causes risk, this risk is especially similar to your argument with driving stoned. But on the other hand, unlike cannabis, there are also devastating biological repercussions to our bodies caused by tolerated things like tobacco, alcohol, prescription pills, etc. My main point is, cannabis isn't any worse than what we've already have legal today. Also cannabis has been tested and PROVEN to cause less automobile accidents than alcohol, link below. I know a man who has smoked cannabis for nearly 60 years daily, hes 76 this year and still drives. Name someone who smokes cigarettes and drinks alcohol as much that is healthier both mentally and physically. Bet you couldn't, sad thing is you can go get both things i just mentioned from the handy way. good day Driving high vs drunk www.washingtonpost.com/news/wonk/wp/2015/02/09/stoned-drivers-are-a-lot-safer-than-drunk-ones-new-federal-data-show/?noredirect=on&.bf864f937f05
That will truely be a bad day for the insurance companies that have been screwing the general public for years with the legal loop hole that cannabis is federally illegal and any proof of it in your system, will insure that any reasonable (would be claim) is denied resulting in billions in proffits.

Hi Healthcare Triage, what are your thoughts on intermittent fasting (e.g. 16-8 fasting, 24-hour fasts, 36-hour fasts)? I wanna know what the research tells us about fasting. Is it good? Is it bad? Are there harmful side effects? Are there long-term negative effects on overall health?
I've been doing this for over a year now. I eat a single meal every 24 hours-ish. I have lost 20lbs and kept it off for 1 year but I must admit I am kind of at a plateau, I lost the 20lbs with in the first 3 months give or take and my weight has been stagnant since. I am partly to blame. I'm not very strict in that sometimes my meals are 20hrs apart, sometimes they're 28 hours apart. I have drinks with calories during the day, I'd guess 600 calories worth of drinks outside of my single meal. In addition to that I don't really hold back on my single meal, I don't eat unhealthy, but I eat what I desire. I do feel like my stomach has shrunk in that I can only eat half a plate and I'm full now. So If I eat badly atleast I don't eat a lot. That is part of why I'm able to stick with this diet, I can kind of eat whatever I want as long as it's during my one meal. I'd like to lose 15lbs more and on weeks where I eat smaller and healthier I do drop another 5lbs but I can't maintain that and I seem to slowly move back to my plateau of a hair over 20lbs less than when I started. I have not noticed any side effects outside of minor lifestyle changes. I feel like I have about the same amount of energy as I did before, but I don't have to stop for food in the middle of the day so I have more time for other things. It's very hard to stop having food at the time you normally eat. That makes it extreamly hard to start a fast. My recommendation is to buy some sort of protein bar, find your favorite but try for low calorie and high protein, there are a couple in the 150cal/12g protein range and the 250cal/20g protein range. Eat one when you get hungry. Beef jerky is also a great snack to fill you up without much calories, just try to eat small then cut the food off. Do that for a week or so effectively trying to wean off of eating at that hour and then you'll be able to skip that eating time and you won't even miss it. Once you've trained your body not to be hungry at that hour then it becomes easy. Im not hungry at breakfast or lunch but I need dinner.
Good job for doing it for over a year! I think the colloquial term for 24-hour fasting is OMAD (one-meal-a-day fasting). I'm glad to hear that I'm not the only subscriber on healthcare triage channel that fasts. I've been doing IF as well. For 2 months, I did the most common protocol 16-8 fasting. Then for 4 months (until now), I fasts twice a week for 36 hours. So I'm very familiar with the fat loss effects of fasting. Oh, and if you want to lose more weight, here is what I can suggest (try only one at a time): * Be strict with your fasting period. Limit your intake to water, black coffee, or tea when fasting. Do not add sugar, creamer, or artificial sweeteners. Having food or drinks with calories will break your fast. * Extend your fasting period. Try 36-hour fasts twice or thrice a week. (Some people do 2 days or more, but I wouldn't recommend it. I haven't tried it and I have no experience with it.) * Eat healthily (less carbs, more fiber, more healthy fats). But as you've mentioned this is difficult to maintain. But if you really want to lose more, I think this is the last barrier that you'd have to go over. What I want to know though is the long term effects. What will happen to us if we continue fasting for 5 years? 10 years? Will it do any better than the "usual" 3 meals a day diet or will it do more harm? I'm having a hard time looking for studies or reports that tackles the long term effects.
I had suicidal thoughts and attempts before I started smoking pot regularly and now I find myself better able to handle those thoughts. While smoking weed everyday
I have a lot of mental and medical conditions (Bipolar I, PTSD, Interstitial Cystitis w/ hunners ulcers, several syncope conditions, tachycardia, and arthritis). For me, pot has helped me keep my sanity and ease my intense pain. I've never had a psychotic episode or suicidal thoughts while using pot. Then again, I might just be an outlier.
Cassie McKeever Call me when you speak 4 languages like me, because you know... not all of them can be perfect... hope you have a better argument than grammar , until then, bye fatty
Mayco Bolivar Sanchez I was going to argue with you...but then I realized that you are exactly nobody. You are the type of person who picks on disabled people to make yourself feel better. All I would suggest is that you leave me the fuck alone and go back to listening to your angsty Twisted Metal music. Meanwhile, I will go back to my fulfilling job at Amazon HQ and my amazing husband. *waves* bye honey
I always find it so weird how marijuana has been a class 1 illegal substance, yet tobacco and alcohol are legal. It confuses the public on what the actual harms are. Legal =/= safe and illegal =/= deadly
The problem with mentioning legality *at all* when talking about the harms of [insert drug here] is that the same comparisons can argue either for the legalization of the illegal thing, or for the criminalization of the legal thing. When the same evidence can lead to opposite conclusions, your argument is faulty. That's why each drug needs to be considered on its own flaws and merits, not compared to other drugs.
Katkam this reminds me of something I saw, it said something about.. during holocaust times, nazis were killing/imprisoning people and it was all legal; however, people tried to help and hide people from them and that was illegal. Seems governments don’t decide these things based on everyones well being, but on their own agendas.
@@IceMetalPunk exactly. It’s always “but alcohol” to these fools lol wtf, the slightest mention or debate about marijuana as a gateway drug fucking up American families prompts them to include wife-beating dads 60 70 years ago I personally have no addiction to silly childish substances like electronic weed, nor do I of tobacco/nicotine and alcohol. But I don’t condemn people on vacay in Amsterdam feeling free and experimental with the hideous drug - I’m guilty of that. I especially don’t condemn people who drink alcohol, because there is culture behind that; precedent and deep reason for it. As yall can tell im at this point speaking to everone in general
Much harder to dose with edibles. Israel is conducting experiments to find a way to do so, but the way someone metabolizes cannabis can be vastly different from the next person and they've been working on it for years. And an edible overdose is far from fun for most people. If you're worried about lung exposure, stay away from dabs and gravity bongs and stick to high-end vaporizers like the Volcano.
JRodgesevant I think it's really unfair to compare methods in this way since everyone is different. I hate the high I get from edibles- I feel too stoned all at once and it's very hard to dose. Smoking let's you gradually dose and it's harder to hit that "too high" feel. It's not really affecting your lungs, especially if you're using a bong or volcano instead of a blunt. If you're really affected by the tar, do dabs instead. Edibles suck lmao
Something to consider regarding the link between impaired drivers and the amount of traffic accidents is that those who are willing to take the risk of driving while high probably have a more risk taking personality, which may also increase risky driving and thus more accidents. There is no doubt it does, but just the actual % increase of incidents based solely on impairment is hard to measure, because personality of individuals is another variable that screws the results.
You can put people on closed driving training courses and get them to drive while impaired and measure how their scores degrade on various things like reaction speed. Its really not that difficult to study.
I smoked fot about a year of my life, never really got into it though. I had fun times while high, minus one bad high (panic attack), I decided to stop doing it in order to avoid addiction and suffering from derealization that affected my daily life. About a couple months later, I quitted vaping nicotine as well. I almost never drink anymore, either. Only 1 shot of liquor saved for certain events from someone else's bottle. But as a whole, being sober feels so much better. So I encourage anyone who smokes, vapes, drinks, etc. to end it for good.
i live in Ontario, i grow my own pot and only smoke one tiny toke before bed, it's an insanely heavy sativa and i get closed eye visuals if i skip every other day, i used to abuse it as a late-teen and began getting depressed but taking breaks and moderating can really pay off when you find the right strain/strength and use it safely and keep your emotional/psychological bearings
What so many people don't mention in this debate is the (absolutely real) risk of getting depersonalization. Obviously, pot is not the only factor, but I have had to face this issue so many times after getting too high too often. It's terrible and annoying. It's short term and not necessarily harmful, but I still think it should be mentioned as a potential risk, or atleast a con.
I smoked weed for 10 years straight..One day , i went to have my night splif.. And all of a sudden my heart went crazy up to 140 bpm. My blood pressure went crazy 160/120.. My head felt like someone punched the back of it. Than my legs started shaking non stop and it got crazy. It lasted for 2 hour and i literally felt that was it and i was gona die.. I stopped for 1 week and tried it again. Same thing happened. Now i quit weed completely, been 6 months and ill never touch iy again
my research into the subject leads back to patent # 6630507 everytime .. the plant protects the user via metabolism , we metabolize the metabolites of cannabis ... about in that order
@@liaurrecoechea5367 Kids / Babies are benefiting from cannabis oil medications... what that means is you take the plant and concentrate the active agents in the plant into a medical oil that the kid ingests ... when smoking the plant you receive a few mg of actives in there... when making oil for medicine you take up to 3000 mg for a dose
I would like to see a equal test between Alcohol and marijuana.. asking the same questions to both.. I am a 70 year old over the road truck driver with a 3 million mile safe driving award (that's 40 years with any accident as a 18 wheeler.. and a marijuana smoker all that time) before you ask, the picture is not me it is my son's photo.
look up = LD50 rating for cannabis / LD50 rating for alcohol... they are not similar in any way... But- green dragon ( cannabis infused in alcohol) is therapeutic and @ low dosing alcohol helps in delivery of cannabinoids in the mucous linings
In most videos about Cannabis, they only inform about theoretical science and dry facts behind weed, in a seemingly unexperienced manner. It is seldomly outlined in detail how it actually feels like on a subjective level, which is presumably the most interesting insight. I have smoked weed more than 10 times (mostly alone and in the form of a joint) and here is my take on the subjective effects: After the first inhale you cough a lot and hard, you shortly after feel a slight itching, even burning down the bottom of your lungs - simmilar to cigars, but a little more intense. Then you feel an increase in your heart beat rate. Your nose might run and your eyes might tear a little. Shortly after, you sense the formation of an invisible layer underneath the skin of your whole body, which kind of feels like when your arm goes numb, but just that the sensory perception is amplified instead of numbed. You feel more light headed and a true shift in your conscious perception, almost like rising higher as if your head blew up like a baloon. If this is your first time smoking weed, then that process might feel like being strapped onto an accelerating starship in space, where you sit first row in the cockpit. You might laugh for no reason. You might have a shorter memory and attention span. You might feel more lazy and like doing nothing. So much so that even standing up and going to the door might feel like sports or an intensive mission. You're just relaxed and don't feel like doing much. You might talk a lot more than usually, and talk about pointing out some things you find weird or significant, which you have never viewed from another angle before. In this sense you are more curious and find things more fascinating. At some point you might get very hungry and have a seemingly higher capacity to eat in contrast to your sober state (I recommend fruits and berries). Your mouth might feel dry and swallowing could feel very uncomfortable. If you're with other persons, it is possible that you see past all the trivial things of one person and actually see the metacognitive intentions of that individual. The capacity for empathy might be increased. On a mental level, you might think that everyone else is secretly conspiring againsy you, in an almost paranoid way. You will assume and believe that everyone else knows that you smoked weed. On this note it's easy to indulge in an anxious and self-hating mood. Since your thought-flow is faster, it's easy to take things too seriously and drown in depression - especially when you're doing it alone. If so, then you will truely understand how lonely you are and how unimaginably important social connections are for the well-being of ones own psyche. The flow of time might feel slowed down. Moving through space coould feel more resistant, almost as if the air had been replaced with honey. Experiencing life might feel like being forced to watch a 5D movie, of which you are the protagonist. From the outside, you have red eyes, dillated pupils and, of course, smell like weed.
Legalizing marijuana is one of the worst things our government has done in recent times it’s like all of the old research that showed the negative effects of marijuana use is gone or being ignored and in is the new trying to promote marijuana as safe and perfectly acceptable it’s scary to think about what the United States will look like 10 years from now if more bills are passed making marijuana and other recreational drugs legal
I just want to say I’ve smoked while studying for a recent psychology exam and I was 1 of 5 out of 30 total in my class who got an A, but that’s my experience.
My brother got in a car crash in 2016 and would start self medicating with weed for his PTSD daily. It didn’t do anything but only made him crazier and was diagnosed 2 years later (I’ll spare the horror) with schizoaffective disorder (schizophrenia and mood disorder), according to the rehab (which only worked for 2 weeks) center he turned out to be in the 5-15% where While I myself after that experience will never smoke weed, for others all I have to say is use it at your own risk and in moderation.
After being clean and sober for almost 20 years, I decided to smoke some pot. I've smoked regularly from time to time in my life. It was never my go-to though. problems with paranoia and social anxiety were commonplace for me. So, anyway, my new experience has been similar. Pot is a lot more potent now, so, the negative effects are amplified. It's just not for me.
what led me to weed was my mental illnesses, i have alot of anxiety, panick disorders and depression, weed helps me relax and not freak out about everything
I ate a whole pizza, a bowl of meatballs, several packets of lollies. Then when I finished chugging down 3l of coke I said “this tastes like the Gold Coast” I then fell over and went to sleep.
the major difference between driving under the influence of alcohol and driving while stoned is this- their are degrees of intoxication depending on the amount of alcohol consumed...where as, with pot, you get completely impaired every single time (and you can be even more "stoned" depending on how much THC is present in the marijuana)...doing either of these while driving is completely stupid, but doing it while stoned is even more so...
It may not have significant negative physiological effects but it does have the potential to cause some adverse psychological effects. Specially in younger users, 18-25, who used it more than once a week.
TheViciousMoob if u smoke daily for a period of a year or 2, it could cause ur dopamine receptors to dull which can cause u to lose general motivation, things that used to maks u happy, wont be as rewarding as before...
I was a user my self for 6+ years I'm all for legalization and there's tons of benefits especially if we're talking CBD I am no longer a everyday user but I can confirm panic attacks aswell as an increase in anxiety can occurr in certain users. I suffered from horrible nuasea and anxiety in the mornings and anxiety through out the day as well as memory problems which is pretty obvious. I always felt better at the end of the day when I would spark a joint up or pack a bowl but after I let it go completely my motivation went up anxiety went away and I felt alot better. I wish I was able to smoke it everyday but my brain chemistry tells me not to. That's my person experience. I took me 5+ years to realize my anxiety was caused by my weed habit after I let it go I realized maybe smoking daily isn't for me. But when I retire and have no worries I'll be stoned all day 😎😎😎
Not gonna lie, this might've been the most interesting video I've seen on RU-vid so far. I did not expect this video to turn out the way it did. Very good info with an even better explanation. Thanks👍🏾
@@georgecarpenter6512 I will George But, if u seach on RU-vid weed adicted you can see a lot of young people saying that they are addicted and that is bad, thats why i was asking if ur father was adicted
This was worth the time I found it to be a fair and balanced account of the risk and approach to the Practical considerations of cannabis uses and benefits.
It would be really interesting to ask people about their feelings about pot from pot smokers. While 2nd hand smoke for children is a concern, I think that most people have taken the PR about smoking in general and its seen as shameful and morally wrong to smoke around kids.
"Ask their feelings about pot from pot smokers"? So... ask people who use pot what they think of using pot? I'd say they're almost all in favor, or else they wouldn't use it. That's not really an unbiased selection...
Ideally, one should avoid smoking and driving, but compared to ANY type of cell phone use, it's much less risky. One study showed that simply talking on the phone (not even texting) increased the risk of accidents as much as drunk driving
