It left such an impression on William & apparently the people's of the time. That writers stated that part of Williams confession on his death bed was his recognition of the Harrying of the North because of its severity & destruction. Now whether William really had a guilty conscience or his biographers were attempting to assuage his guilt. But it must have been BAD! Good video! 👍🏻 As a history fan in the U.S. im always fascinated by the mother country of England & British isles. Ireland,Scotland & Wales have such a great history! William the Conquerors time is always interesting.

Really well put together video. You should have added that on his deathbed he even repented for that, and was afraid of having to answer for those sins
