The Hat is arguably my all-time favorite burger and fries. The chili fries are a must if you ever go again, BUT, here's a pro tip (unless you like soggy fries), get yourself an order fries and a side of chili instead of the chili fries. This way the fries stay nice and crisp and you can dip as you go. The chili fries are a big soggy mess that can still be tasty, but the crispness of the fries is completely lost. Big fan of your channel, Mr. Woo.

Love this series Adam! The Hat is awesome! The dip isn’t something they give you, it’s called a dip sandwich because they dip the inside face of the bread into broth (Jus for the fancy) - it is part of why those are so messy but so good!

There's nothing I can eat currently that compares (in the middle of the process of getting some porcelain crowns made) so I have an ever-growing list of tasty treats I intend to try thanks to The Woo. I live in Orange County myself so this is just perfect for me. Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles is very high on that list, and Watson's, though I've been there before. The atmosphere is best there but that will have to wait. If you know someone who loves Farrells but you don't like cymbals and drums every five minutes and know their food and ice cream both taste like dumpster dining, take that friend to Watson's and show them how it's done right.

The first time it was absolutely amazing.... the second time I think they gave me the heal end crust of the pastrami because it was nothing but gristle and completely dried out. The sandwich contained basically shaved crust. It was awful. However, next time I'm in town I will give them the benefit of the doubt and try it again. I got to see a personal side of you I’ve never noticed before. From worried about if you have over exposed yourself before the lock-down to doing push-ups in your living room, I watched them all. I dislike food reviews, but your honesty during them is felt thru and thru. From the silent nodding of approval after you take a bite to your facial expressions when that lady interrupted you and Sean Clark. Sometimes the simplest things we do in life are to best. It’s good that Adam can still do these videos with the protests and the virus.

Katz's in New York, considered by most to be "best in the world", will run you twice that price.

$11 Seems overpriced for that size and that bread type.

Adam, ur footsteps were traversing thru my old haunts. I love the chili fries at The Hat (xtra chili, fries well done); they're enough for 3 meals. And Almansor is one of the parks where I congregate with my Latino and Asian brethren. I almost went on Saturday. U would have seen the shirtless Asian getting his vitamin D on. BTW, that last layer of wrapping on the pastrami was split ( u can see it in the video) so that you can neatly eat the sandwich with the paper on. But it was a better visual the way u did it.

Many TNX for visiting one of my Southland hangouts! Orange Bang is great! (The Original Tops in Pasadena also has that...) Their fries are great with the gravy. Also, The Hat has first rate Beef Dip sandwiches and burgers. The onion rings are also a strong recommend. Another suggestion is Moffett's Family Restaurant & Chicken Pie Shoppe in Arcadia.

Hi Adam, Love your Vlogs and been watching you for a couple of years now. I love The Hat, I work close by. As for the dip portion, you can ask for it on the side or they can dip before wrapping it up. My personal preference is without dip with 6 chille peppers, UUMM. The reason why I like the Hat is because they slice the meat thinly and it's not to saltly. Next time you go, try the chilli cheese fries with pastrami, but I recommend that you take some friends with you. Portion size is HUGE enough for 4 people. Can't wait to see the next Eatery you go to.

My wife and my favorite sandwich in the whole world. Although we live in Michigan whenever we visit southern California we have to eat one of these. Yes with mustard and pickles of course.

OH MAN ! I totally forgot about this place. I went there two or three times many years ago, now here it is again. From what I remember it was excellent. I do remember getting chili fires. I want one right now. Thanks for the memories.

I grew up in Alhambra. Looks like a lot of us locals are checking in here. Ate there all the time since the early 60's. I moved to OC years ago but luckily there's a Hat a few miles away in Lake Forrest.

The “Hat” has always been one of my favorite spots. I usually ask for chili peppers on the side to eat with my pastrami sandwich. Also try their chili cheese fries with pastrami, but make sure you don’t try to eat it yourself. It’s a huge serving.
