Congratulations Tree, you’ve regained your jinxing powers! “Houston is too damn strong” is right up there with “Pekke Rinne is too good right now” in the jinxing hall of fame. Conglaturations.
@@gauravagochiya4218 The Texans are giving The Succubus everything she wants & more right now. Hell, they'll probably find some way to screw up the Watson trade just to satisfy her & keep her focus off the Astros for a while. It worked long enough in 2017 when she went after Watson's ACL after the Astros won. Also, there's that bitch Hope singing her sweet siren song to the state of Georgia right now. The Braves in the World Series, the Georgia Bulldogs at #1. Things are looking too good for their fans right now, but those who have been physically & emotionally abused by Hope know better than to jump on the bandwagon. She's going to break their hearts again in cruel fashion & discover more painful ways of losing, like Georgia losing to Cincinnati in the National Championship Game on a fluke 2PT conversion in triple overtime. Hope will rear her beautiful face long enough to have the Braves fans believing that they're going to win it all.... Only for Houston to win in Game 7 by one run on a walk off grand slam. Hope will continuously feed off the pain & anguish from the entire state of Georgia.
I agree with you about Stu Sternberg. As a lifelong resident of Hillsborough County, Fla. (Tampa's the seat), he can easily make a move to my side of Tampa Bay happen. I hate seeing the Rays struggle at the gate in Downtown St. Petersburg.
I’m not mad at the Astros being favored, honestly. The Braves have seemed to thrive this year when facing adversity. And I think a severely under mentioned quality for playoff teams is resilience, and the Braves definitely have it. I’m just thrilled to finally see them back in the World Series, especially after the way our season started. This is gonna be a great series.
Facts they proved everybody wrong after the all star break and they can be the ultimate underdog if they beat Houston but they fought through adversity every step of the way and I’m proud of this team. (Even though Will Smith loves heart attacks.)
2017: Tree picked Astros in 7, the Astros actually won in 7 2018: Tree picked Red Sox in 6, Red Sox actually won in 5 2019: Tree picked Nationals in 7, Nationals actually won in 7 2020: Tree picked Dodgers, Dodgers actually won in 6 2021: Tree picked Astros in 6, will he be right again? Tree is secretly a baseball god lol
Your city is so cursed. I don't even watch baseball, but I'm cheering for you guys all the way. Atlanta deserves more hardware. They're an amazing city with amazing sports fans.
Tree I thank you for not jinxing my Braves. The first World Series berth since I can remember (I'm 25 so our last one I was 3) and you didn't jinx us. Thank you.
Game 6 of the World Series Braves vs Astros. The Astros are at home desperate to win against the Braves, but what they were not expecting was that the succubus herself was there in the stadium. She delights in see them in this situation, but she wants more suffering. Although, the Astros sacrificed their follow sports team, she drain the Astros of there batting talents of this game and will lose in the series in the worse way possible. A shut out. However, she was not the only one their. Looking down onto the Braves, an angel watches. The angel of Hank Aaron looks to Soler and blesses his bat with greatness. A 3-run home run hit so hard it travels out of the stadium at and travels 590 feet. That was all that was need. Hank returns to heaven knowing that Atlanta's championship drought is over. As for Houston, their souls are still damned by the Succubus to suffer even more and left to wonder, now what?
Atlanta won a soccer cup not long ago, as well, but everyone was still like, "No one cares." Atlanta suddenly had a psychotic twitch in their eye, made it to the world series, and bashed in houston's kneecaps with a bat blessed with Soler power. Atlanta looks at those who are left and whisper, "You care now?"
I think I can safely say for the first time in a very long time... This is going to be a fun World Series. The death of one of two city's stigmas will die come November: the city of choking, or the devil's favorite advocate.
Personally, while I don't have any love for either teams, the Braves even making the World Series is already a big middle finger to the League's top brass, and actually hoisting the trophy is just a bonus. Atlanta lost the right to host the All-Star Game, but in turn, they get to host at least two World Series games, which is a lot more meaningful, to be honest. I'd say it has worked out well for Atlanta. Win or lose, they have already made a statement, and that's already enough in my eyes.
Hammering Hank wanted his Tribute in his city. The moment Rob Manfred moved the All-Star game was the moment the Braves won the Pennant. The Series itself was still in play, though.
if Atlanta pulls this off Tree I need two things from you a sincere congrats to Atlanta compile everything they've gone through since last year's fall from the Dodgers, to losing Phil Niekro, to losing Hank Aaron, to losing Mike Soroka, to losing the All Star Game, to losing Marcel Ozuna, to losing Ronald Acuna, included with words you've said about them in this span such as calling them snake bit or telling fans to get used to hearing the word "sell", to some of their season's highlights, winning the division, their playoff run, and ending with their moment in the sun and a Dusty Baker legacy of failiure, as Cubs fan I would relish in it, from letting Ortiz keep the ball in game 6, to the Bartman incident, to Mark Prior's tragic career, to a reverse sweep to his former team in the Giants, to letting Max Scherzer implode against the Cubs, to tripping at the finish line in the ALCS, to thinking that he was the hero of this year's story.
Yankees: How To Burn Money, Bronx Style (Tonight, Boston feasts on a special delicacy: turtle soup.) Cardinals: Necromancy Permanently Banned (So this is how life dies: with an addiction to pitching matchups.) Rays: Delete Your Sternbergs (Why don't you move to Montreal, you spineless shit?) White Sox: Laughs in Cubs Fan (I'd say dig for fossils, but you have one managing ya.) Giants: Old Men to The Retirement Home (San Francisco, enjoy your convenience scapegoat.) Brewers: No Wonder Why They Drink Heavily (You may now punch your hand into a wall in solidarity. Be glad you have all that beer up there; you're gonna need it after this wasted season.) Red Sox: Blood-Soaked Stockings (Maybe put up a banner saying you beat the Pinstripes or something. That always helps.) Dodgers: Farewell, Playoff Kershaw? (It all ends with one true conclusion: An Atlanta sports franchise... didn't... choke?!? We're all doomed, aren't we?)
As a Twins fan, I feel good for Eddie Rosario, seeing that he's playing for a ring, but he was the ONE FUCKING PLAYER THE TWINS SHOULD HAVE RESIGNED IN THE OFF SEASON.
Urinatingtree was 4-0 up to this point. Tonight, ironically, it was the Braves who broke that streak! Tree's jinxing powers for the World Series hater's guide is now taking effect!!!!
I think this one was aided by... "outside forces" TREE: ... it won't be enough to stop the Astros from beating them in six games. SUCCUBUS: The time has come. Execute Order 6.
Some fun facts about these teams. The Astros lost to the White Sox in 05 and this year, the Astros beat them. The Braves lost to the Astros in 05 and this year, the Braves beat them. But the craziest thing is that the Falcons lost the Super Bowl in Houston. But, the Braves won the World Series in Houston.
Dear god if there were ever a time for Tree to have his holy jinxes come to fruition it would be now. Let my braves have their triumph for years of Atlanta failures (God Bless you tree, you are merciful with your blessings)
@@ChiefBlue4298 Man is 4-0 rn in WS predictions since 2017. 2017 - UT chooses Houston. Houston wins in 7. 2018 - UT bets on the Red Sox. They win in 5. 2019 - Tree backs the Nats. They win in 7. 2020 - Tree chooses the Dodgers. They win in 6. Can he do it again?
Who's here after Atlanta ended their 26 year drought? WORLD SERIES CHAMPS 2021! LET'S GO BRAVES!!! And thank you, Tree, for giving Houston your everlasting jinx, and giving us the W. Also, am I smelling a second part to Houston: The City That Sold Its Soul?
@@calebfromblood6915 yeah that drive with traffic is killer, I couldn’t find a parking spot this year to watch the playoff game. If they just put the team in ybor they would have so many fans.
Petty Phillies and Mets fans will be rooting for the Astros. I've seen plenty of people on social media be like "I would rather die than root for the Braves. Screw them."
The Astros made it back? The succubus must have decided that the Astros had gone through enough pain- Oh, they traded the Texans and Rockets' misery for this
@@JahNuhThunDeeTheOneAndOnly I disagree with the Rockets though, they got a bright future with their young roster, they will be bad for a few years but there's more optimism with the Rockets than there is with the Texans
11:07 Quick correction on that caption: Colorado's voting laws are NOT more restrictive than Georgia's. The reason Colorado has less time for early voting is because they make mail-in voting more readily available, which significantly reduces the need for in-person voting. As a result of that lessened need for in-person voting, lines at voting locations are often very short, especially when compared to voting in-person in Georgia.
Dave Roberts proved to everyone that he had nothing to do with their 2020 win. He got bailed out by Michael Taylor constantly and still couldn't finish off a team missing their 3 best players. But he stole a base 17 years ago am I right?
Roberts got bailed out by cash. Cash made an even worse bullpen/pitching decision than roberts did. Pulling snell for Anderson( who had given up runs in 8 straight appearances)
It has been done. The Braves are no longer inept. They have won their first championship in more than a quarter of a century. Also, fuck the INFIELD FLY RULE GAME
@@TheKEITHD07 Tampa will make it easier for almost everyone. Being able to take the Suncoast instead of 19 will bring more fans from Pasco and Hernando counties.
6:14 Counterpoint: The Boston beat writers _still_ tried to pull the, "The Astros used whistling to cheat!" thing. Yes, clearly it was *whistling* that made the Red Sox offense vanish off the face of the Earth.
Love your channel, but as a life long Braves fan, I would like to say, from all Braves fans; FUCK YOUR PREDICTION! Although totally understandable to pick the Astros. LMFAO
The Virgin 28-3 curse: Dissipates by means of Jorge Soler's bat. The Chad Succubus: The other Houston teams sacrifice themselves for Astro glory, only for them to STILL not win without cheating.
I was 12 when the Braves won the World Series in 1995. 38 when they won last year. Mind boggling to me how all that time. Also I love that shot of Rodgers walking in the winning run in the 1998 NLCS. But man I'd rather not remember that World Series.
I'm ok with you being wrong tree, my atlanta braves finally did it and I was there sitting with my old man as we hugged and I saw him with a tear in his eye. Thanks for the video tree, thanks for being partial and giving credit when credit is due.
THE OLD BRAVES-ASTROS RIVALRY IS BACK ON! LETS GOOOOOOOOOOO! The killer b’s were quaking in their boots when they saw the braves were in the World Series.
I’m not saying they are a failure. Like more in a way of how they were able to dominate the NL for so long in the 90’s and early 2000, yet only win the World Series once. I was barely born when the Braves won it all. I want a story of the dominant Braves to the current Braves, which includes World Series win, playoffs pain the years they didn’t win it, the choke in 2011 (still about it as a Reds fan), the WC game in 2012, the choke last year, and how they made the WS this year. Like this would be a different Braves story/video from other videos he has done. Also as a Reds fan, I want a video about my team, too.
Did he even watch the Braves play in the post season? Or did he just read off the box scores? At least he was correct in saying a team will win the WS in six games
