The Haunted Mansion is BACK at Disneyland After Being Closed For 6 Months!👻 Plus, Trying Some Food✨

The Haunted Mansion has been closed for an extended refurbishment for a little over 6 months at Disneyland, but it is finally back open now! There is a virtual queue to ride it, with no standby line available at this time. I explain how to ride it, and what you need to do to get in the virtual queue.
The virtual queue was very easy to get, and it was available for much longer than the virtual queues were in the past (Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway and Rise of the Resistance). I started out the day with a great lunch at Tiana's Palace, and then I rode the Haunted Mansion.
The Haunted Mansion did reopen with the Nightmare Before Christmas overlay, and it will continue in that iteration until after Christmas. I took a ride on the Mark Twain and The Straw Hatters band was playing while I was onboard, a rare treat!
I went to DCA for dinner, and I had the Hot Link Corn Dog from Corn Dog Castle. I also tried a Chocolate Coconut treat from the candy shop on Buena Vista Street.

I had that hot link corn dog today! I went solo to DCA for just a few hours today and I’ve always wanted to try it. I ate it inside Flo’s air conditioned diner. Very tasty. 👍🏼

Both of those were added last year, not during this refurbishment. They're hard to spot unless you are actively looking for them.

Hi, Rik! Would you please tell me if the gallery/stretch room/hallway to the Doom Buggies is anymore light inside? Last time I rode HMH was October 2023. It was so dark in there, I couldn't see where to walk! The CMs kept yelling at me to keep moving. I was alone, so I didn't have anyone to hang onto. It's one of my favorite rides -- but I was so traumatized-- I didn't want to go on it again. BTW -- Nice shirt! Great video, as always.

I almost fell getting off the stretching room elevator into the hallway one time, it is so dark it seems dangerous. It's still very dark, but the CM had a flashlight that he was shining on the floor to help exit there, I thanked him because I think there should ALWAYS be someone with a light there. The hallway to the Doom Buggies is a bit brighter as you get to the loading area, and it's easier to see once you're past the stretching room exit part.

I've heard that some of the lighting has been updated, but I didn't notice anything too obvious. The carriage out front is moved, but there aren't any major changes at all.
