THE HAUNTED - Preachers Of Death (Official Video). Pre-Order now: smarturl.it/Strength-In-Numbers New Album out Aug 25th THE HAUNTED - Preachers Of Death (Official Video). Century Media Records 2017.
The Haunted is great. They've been up there in my top metal bands for about 20 years now. 'Made Me Do It' is one of the most iconic melodic death metal records in my opinion.
I got to hear "The Haunted" only a few days ago and they have made it to my favorite band list with a lot of ease. Super talented bunch of musicians, the chemistry within the band looks pretty rad and cohesively inspirational. I think I'm going to order this album...man I'm in love already! \m/ \m/
I've heard these riffs from Ola for years and just now checking out this material and this is BADASS!!!!! Nice to see two At The Gates members in this band too.
This might be my favourite mix for a metal song ever. Wouldn't be surprised if Ola did it because I'm feeling some Pantera tones, he loves him some Pants
Yah know, I just love what you guys do, how you do it too! There is literally nothing better than you guys making music the way you do! Please, never break up or quit! Some if us love and live with your music daily.
Those guitars... and I build guitars! I just can't but look at those guitars when I play this video, even if my first reason to come back here is always this masterpiece of song. Too beautiful!!
One of my new favorite bands my ears are ringing with joy thank you The Haunted really good vocals guitar base everything sounds like it's coming from seasoned vets.
This is fucking awesome and heavy! I like how The Haunted has changed themselves and experimented but have never sold the fuck out and still produce great stuff.
This song is absolutely fantastic. The video could have been so striking with this lyrical content and the dark feeling of the track, if only Century Media could be bothered to commission proper storyboarding and direction.
Happy too see good analyzing in the comments. It's a rare treat on RU-vid. Yeah it definitely has some The Haunted characteristics but Ola's riff writing shines through. But not necessarily in a bad way. Just needs more hooks.
Walking the tightrope Between good and evil Like lambs to the slaughter Staring into their own abyss A war and a peace A flock and a shepherd The preachers of death Awaken the dead To a prison of belief Vicious methods justified Implanting the seeds of guilt Say farewell to flesh and blood Prepare for the sermon of lies The preachers of death Awaken the dead To a prison of belief The preachers of death Guilty as charged Awaken the dead To a prison of belief A war and a peace A flock and a shepherd
I think it's safe to say I'm kind of the minority here. I always preferred Marco Aro over Peter Dolving but that's probably because my introduction to them was "One Kill Wonder" so naturally I was beyond stoked when he returned to the band. I only enjoyed one album with Peter Dolving and it was "The Dead Eye" record but with that said his voice has really grown on me over the years so I will probably explore the rest of his era in the band.
I did enjoy the first record Marko (Made me do It) was on so I'm going to check out the first record next. I totally respect your opinion but I still have found a lot records I enjoyed past the first two. It's still a win win for me honestly and I'm loving the new record.
Yeah, every one loves the brutality of "wonder". But they are two different bands with Peter and Marco. Peter is a "hardcore punk" singer. Marco sings death metal. Naturally the songwriting conformed around them with brilliant results on both occasions. The Haunted (1994) is still one of my favs. Revolver is great as well.
