Woow, this brings back so many memories! Im in this video, headbanging looking like a little emo-kid. Ten years ago, god damnit. Dolving was even kind enough to show me to the bus station afterwards. What a day.

rEVOLVEr is the best metal album ever produced in my opinion. All against all, 99, abysmal, nothing left..there is not a single song on the record that is not epic. Ps: play abysmal at my funeral pls.

What a fuckin masterpiece ! Peter Dolving was an iconic individual in the metal sphere. Miss him very much. 2019 now, time to admit the song is immortal.

Wasn't even a fan when I saw these guys on the second stage at Ozzfest back in the day. Then Peter jumped out into the crowd and was just about in my face just doing his thing. He was the man. And Jensen just standing there shredding. One of my favorite concert memories. Instant fan. That Ozzfest was magic--Rob Zombie, Killswitch, As I Lay Dying, Mastadon, Soilwork, Arch Enemy, Black Dahlia, Haunted, etc, and that was just the second stage.

J'ai fait un concert sur Paris je suis monter sur scène j'ai pris le chanteur dans les bras et j'ai sauté de la scène en slam, un souvenir immortel tellement c'était bon !!! La bonbe époque, c'était à la boule noir 😊

Saw them on the second stage years ago at Ozzfest with bands like Hatebreed, Slipknot, Lacuna Coil etc and they blew them all off the stage.

Got into them after hearing this as a late teen - it expressed everything I felt at the time, and still do at 38y actually. Read about Dolving, he lost everything multiple times so you know his angst comes from his soul . When he lefft the band they got so bitter they made sure he would never be signed again but he' released a few songs under his name and as Bring The War Home. Mary Beats Jane stuff is pretty good as well. Hardcore Worldwide by Rosvo is heavy as hell. Water Over Bones makes me smile. I tried listening to Aro once, never again, he's not as versatile. The Haunted was Dolving 🤘

Saw this band earlier this year in an extremely small venue. One of the best concerts I've ever been to. Much props to The Haunted!!

Myself and numerous others (many from the Naval Special Warfare community--SEALs & SWCC boat dudes--) used to listen to this before fixin to get it on....Hope the Haunted know this.. They were the soundtrack to so many ops back in those days

@HereticNotions the fact that you stopped listening to metal doesn't mean it stopped existing. Metal now has reached a whole new level of diversity and creativity, with bands ranging from Lamb Of God to Dying Fetus to The Dillinger Escape Plan to Opeth to Meshuggah.

Top 5 album of all time. One of the first CD's I bought with money from my first job in 2004. Still heavily in my rotation and one of the few "no skip" albums where every single fucking song is a certified BANGER.

It is true, there are many sub genres with subtle differences, but enough of a difference to change the sound to one's liking. In Metal, there are so many sub genres you don't need the other genres of music, there is something for everyone.
