Martin Scorsese named this his favorite horror movie. Scared the crap of me when I saw this as young teen. Thanks for posting.

This film needs to be watched on a big-screen TV at night with the lights off.

Brilliant directing , editing, and camera work. And the fact that we don't see what is menacing them, and the lack of music, is terrifying.

The only thing i never figured out was why it never could enter the rooms It banged on the doors and walls, it clattered through the house, But it never came into the rooms themselves
