@SoundTracksPassion No. Eric Rigler played the uilleann pipes in the film 'Titanic'. This is a separate production.

but does anyone know why james horner opted for uilleann pipes in the titanic soundtrack??? where was his inspiration from? presumably an homage to the third-class passengers as an irish band plays in the film during the third-class party scene?

Titanic's last port of call was Cobh Co cork Ireland where a lot of Irish would have boarded for third class one of my own neighbour s went down on the Titanic have a plaque outside his cottage just a km up the road from me in Co laois ,plus the Titanic was built in Belfast Ireland , and nothing sounds more like Ireland than the pipes 😏
