Good critique and agree with the "ugly" and would never order from this Knife company. And thats also recognizing that knife prices, overall, have become exorbitant the last two years.
It's obviously made in China, in one of those "you provide the design, we provide the product" contract factories. Their evasiveness speaks for itself. Kudos for drawing attention to this issue.

Another informative review. The only thing I like is the blade shape. I live in the US and prefer to support the home team. Just curious, is there a knife you found no ugly? Is there a knife you would make modifications to make it perfect for you?
Most of things we buy and use everyday seem to have country of origin on the product or the packaging, but some things don’t. What is required by law in the US?
I totally agree that HEA needs to be more transparent about how it's made. I'd honestly feel better with them literally saying anything about where it's made. Saying essentially nothing is a huge turn off
So true on the lanyard hole. Looks cheap. Not even chamfering around the hole. And agree on sourcing. Silly really. I have a Hunter but won’t buy another HEA.
Speaking from visual experience , it looks like it would be a good one. Haha , it’s a vertical pecker 😂. Nothing wrong with making jokes and cheering people up , thanks 👍❤️
Nick. Why do you think so many makers "miss the sharpening choil by a mm or fraction of a mm?" I hear this a lot from you. Seems like it should be a simple thing to get right, but I'm not a maker so maybe there are geometry issues I'm not aware of.
My opinion is the pivot is another ugly point. Logo designs on the pivot are usually fine but not a fan of words on the pivot or collar. Basically less billboarding across the well... board. Side note We is just abstract enough with their pivots that it's not too bad, better styling can make up for a lot.
Most likely it's just me .. but knives are all getting to a point where they are all the same .. once you get a titanium knife with good Steele .. I feel you truly tried them all 😂
Just not that impressed with the exploding number of Chinese made knives with okay designs but nothing special. So much junk flooding the market, but hey, something for everyone I guess.
